Perhaps it was fatigue, or perhaps it was the trauma at having throught she was infected and had to kill herself and her body shutting down as a way for her to cope, but at some point, Dani had fallen asleep.
Lucid dreaming wasn't something that often happened, but when it did, it felt... surreal. It was one thing to know that you were sleeping, and another to be aware of every action one took in the dream, almost as if it could be controlled. However, try as she might, she couldn't wake herself up from this. All Dani could do was watch.

For the first part, she watched herself walking... no running. CHASING someone with a weapon. The one she was chasing pleaded for her to stop, but she didn't relent. The weapon she was carrying... was a bloodied knife, and it reminded her of a similar scenario not too long ago. This... this wasn't...

The dream didn't stop. In the next segment, she saw the one she was chasing run into a room. They were clearly terrified, and yet... once she rounded the corner, she showed no signs of stopping. Dani tried to shout out, tried to resist, but nothing she did stopped the version of her in the dream. The person was shivering, crying, and yet she paid it no heed, reaching out to pull them kicking and screaming from their hiding spot.

Dani dreaded what came next. This... this wasn't real. It was just a dream. A dream that seemed so oddly real, right? This... this wasn't...
No. She couldn't let herself get spooked. She KNEW this was just a dream, and she could wake up from it at any time. Just... wake up. Wake up now and-
Her breath caught in her throat when she saw herself raise the weapon and-
No. NO!!

She tried to scream. Tried to shout. Tried to change the outcome in whatever way possible, but when the weapon dug deep and drew blood, she finally woke up with a start. Was... that...
It was... it was just a dream...
Dani trembled, hands clutching her arms as she drew her legs up against her chest. Just a...
wait.

Dani froze when she felt something wet seep through her sleeves, and slowly pulled her hands away to look at them.
W-why... it was just...
Though her brain tried to rationalize it, her eyes knew what they saw. Blood. Fresh. And at her feet...

She jumped, letting out a small shriek as she saw an unconscious, bloody body in front of her, a fresh wound on their chest. N-no... it was just a dream, right?
This... this wasn't real. This couldn't be happening! And yet...
Dani burrowed her head into her knee and sobbed. What had she done?

Scenario requirements: You're not too sure how, but your character has fallen asleep. If you are in a group with multiple people, each person just dreams a separate dream. As a mix-up, optionally if you are in a group, you can have one of the people be the VICTIM in your dream if you wish (or victims!) You are aware you are asleep, but nothing you do will wake yourself up in this dream. You walk along the dream, and are forced into multiple unwilling scenarios. In the first, you are chasing someone with a weapon of choice down a long hallway, and they beg you to stop. In the second, you turn a hallway, and see them hiding in the room. You can hear them breathing and drag them out from their hiding spot. In the third you raise your weapon against the victim.

As you wake up you realize it was all a dream, and you are sweating intently. Your hands however, are covered in blood. (If a player is RPING the victim, when they wake up they take -10 damage, and are bleeding at [random location ], otherwise make up a bloodied, unconscious victim)

When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter.

Extra effect: This is a NEW effect and replaces all prior ones!

- Mobs from the mod thread NO LONGER spawn in new threads.
- Bosses when repelled successfully decrease your infection rate by -10!
- If your character "recognizes" the original form of the GM boss, it can ICly call out to them. This will let them do double damage for the rest of the battle!
