It had been nice going out and doing a task like this with someone else. Monica had turned out to be pleasant company, and it had softened the crass woman somewhat. Usually Adelaide's companions at work tended to either irritate or amuse her (and sometimes even both if they were special), so being with the younger woman had been a great change of pace. But there she was alone again, for all good things must come to and end she knew with a sigh, and so long as she was doomed to do tasks alone, her good humor would eventually fall with it.
Still, though, perimeter checks weren't so bad. It wasn't like it would be that one day not so long ago when she had been at the medbay, tending to Monica's brother in fact as the punk had tried to do Fight Club shenanigans on his own, when some poor b*****d had fallen off the roof and broken every bone in his body before promptly turning into an undying. no, this time it was just her going over to check the electric fence as she wolf whistled at the infected trying to poke their deformed arms through.
"Probably shouldn't tease you like that, eh?" she muttered to herself, though it didn't quite stop her from having some fun at their expense.

At length Adelaide came to another medium sized breach in the wall, at which point she unslung her bag and began to bring out the tools. As she worked she had to jab the candlesticks at some infected trying to wobble their way over. Adelaide made various unimpressed noises as she tweaked this and that, sparking herself only twice: a new record!
When she figured it would last, she packed up and got the hell away. God knew she didn't want to leave it to chance that one of them would be, she didn't know, hyper infected or something.
