Candice needed to go inside. She had to get away from the fog, and those smiling faces, stitched into false grotesque grins. The fog was unnatural and wrong. She didn't care it was a hospital, not that different than the prison in her mind. It could have been anything, she just needed to get inside. Was that a ringing in her ears?

Pushing through the doors and finally ending her run Candice fell to her knees and attempted to steady her breathing. The ringing got louder as her breath became even. She was grateful the fog didn't permeate this place. The ringing didn't bother her till she realized what it was, a phone. Was that possible? Probably not, whatever was on the other line could not be anything good. Unless it was. What if it was someone, somehow calling for help?

She still waited till she felt able to move again and approached the phone. It was out of place in the hospital, bright colored and smooth. Picking it up she answered with a confident "Hello" despite her trembling hands.

"Candy!Candy! Please." the voice begged, "Candy I need you. We are trapped. I can't...can't.." Candice had froze, nearly dropped the phone. She fumbled, catching it and shaking off the shock. Only her sister called her Candy. She hadn't spoken to her in years. It hurt. Especially now.

"Trish where are you?" She finally answered, her voice frantic. She was met with a click and then buzzing.

Candice stood like that for a minute, unable to process what had happened. She let out a frustrated cry and slammed the phone down. In the distance another phone rang.

She still couldn't move, didn't want to. Candice didn't want to see more. To hear more. She couldn't anymore. Her eyes watered. Another phone chimed in. Then another. Finally the same one she still stood near started. She hadn't even hung it up properly, half of the phone was not even on. It still rang.

Candice cried out but picked it up. She didn't bother answering. The other phones still rang.

"Candice...." It was deep and raspy, her Father. "Candice....where are you girl? Get back here now! We need your help! What the hell are you doing!? Wasting time!" Candice hung it up, slowly this time. He didn't know where she was. She made sure of it. He didn't know. This wasn't real. As she fought this reality, the ringing slowed and finally faded away. He didn't know.

She slid down the desk and curled into herself.

OOC: SCENARIO 4*

Scenario requirements: A phone begins to ring as you wander the inside of the hospital. At first you do not want to pick it up, but the noise persists. You wander multiple rooms, and there are multiple phones. Each one you pick is a voice from a person you recognize, begging you for help. Whenever you ask where they are, they hang up. The ringing continues, over and over. If you are RPing this with multiple people, all of you hear the ringing, coming from various phones. It is up to you when your character comes to the realization that the ringing is all in their heads, (or if they need other chars to help them realize so!)

When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter.
