Donovan was going about his business. The air was turning crisp in the morning and the leaves were just starting to get yellowed edges, a sure sign that autumn was well on its way. He loved mornings like this, walking down the sidewalk whistling one of his merry tunes. He hadn’t a care in the world at the moment. His hands were in his jacket pockets, walking toward the bakery by his apartment that he frequented when it suited him to be up early enough that they weren’t sold out.
Truthfully, he had no reason to be awake this morning but something about the day told him to be up and open to its possibilities. He figured what the hell and got dressed.
That’s when he spotted a familiar redhead up ahead. His smiled widened and he picked up his pace to catch up to her. He approached and tapped her shoulder lightly, trying not to startle her.
“Rose, isn’t it? I would recognize that hair anywhere.”

Rose turned at the tap on her shoulder. She didnt jump or wasn't started, living in the UK for two years certainly dialed down her fear. Strange things didn't happen there every day. She gave the guy a curious look before she realized who it was.
"Oh yes, I remember you. You're Xanders friend, uh, Donovan, yes?"
She gave him a smirk and the once over, not bothering to try to hide it. "It's nice to see you again," she said with something of a laugh, "and yes our family hair is kind of iconic I suppose."
She stood in her heels, crop top, skirt and cardigan, looking out of this world in her Mars smilie watchmen skirt. "Early morning errands?"

"I'll never object to a sunrise if I'm greeted by a beautiful woman, Lass."
He sometimes did wake up to beautiful women, but hadn't in a while since he moved in with his cousin, Marlin. On the occasions that it had happened, though, it was generally a pleasant experience. He was not the type to push a lady out the door right away, even if it was a one night stand. That just wasn't his way. He loved women and they, in turn, seemed to love him.
He grinned charmingly, nodding to Rose remembering his name. He and Xander didn't often see each other, though he sometimes wished they would, but he remembered her from the shopping trip. And, well, the hair was usually a dead giveaway of the family line.
He lifted an eyebrow at the appraising look she gave him and deliberately returned the favor so that she knew he was doing it. She looked very good, but he remembered that from their last encounter.
"No, I have no place to be but a little bakery cafe that is calling my name. Perhaps you'll do me the honor of joining me for breakfast?"

Rose gave him a smile and shook her head, wondering if she should take his words as she did. She decided at his looks off appraisal that yes she had indeed taken his words correctly. She smirked at his question and motioned for him to lead the way. She was early and could spare a bit of time before opening the store, this morning.
"I'm not opposed to breakfast. Do they just have baked breads, or might they have some fruit too." She walked with him, short curl blowing in the early morning breeze, just sort of thinking to herself.
He was Xander's friend, as odd as a thought as that was for her, but she'd spent two years in England and during those two years a lot had changed. "So tell me about yourself? I don't know much about you other than the fact that you're my brother's friend."

"We'll find something for you, Lass. Don't you worry."
His bakery was very inclusive offering fruit and smoothies and other wholesome things as well. He couldn't be bothered with the stuff but he knew some people preferred that sort of thing and, honestly, he couldn't blame them.
"Yes, we are friends. I'd like to think I'm good for him...or bad."
He chuckled, remembering their fist outing and how he had made Xander blush. Of course he was the obnoxious sort occasionally but despite that he managed to make some good friends that he really appreciated. He hoped he was as good to them as they were to him.
"I live with my cousin Marlin. When I'm not busy having fun I travel on location as a photographer for Natural World magazine."
Which often meant weeks or months in exotic places taking photos for the magazine.
"What about you? What do you do? How come I haven't met you sooner?"

She wasn't too worried about what the bakery might have and she noted that he didn't really answer her question, but chose to leave it alone. She honestly didn't really care that much. She laughed when he spoke about his friendship with Xander.
"Bad is good. My brother can be a bit of a stick in the mud, but I'm sure you already know that. But then again I don't even know, he's changed a lot."
The topic of Xander wasn't she bet what either of them wanted to talk about so she didn't say much more instead she looked intrigued by Donovan's work, which sounded very exciting. "That's impressive. I would love it if you showed me some of you work some time. I bet with a job like that you are always having fun. I would like to travel and see the world, like for real, remote places."
She gave a grin when he asked about her. "I'm an actress, though I've only landed small roles mostly in Indie films. The past few years I've lived in England with my family, so I've been doing films and play there. We came back to states for christmas, then my sister became really ill up until recently, so I'm still here. This time, however, I do not think I will be going back to England to stay, but thats still up in the air. I mean I doubt I will make it big in Destiny City."
