Voss had apparently cried himself to sleep on the floor of the hospital, curled up on his side on the dusty tile floor and clutching his cane to his chest with puffy, tear-stained eyes and his mouth contorted into a grimace. He occasionally twitches in his sleep, bony fingers squeezing the cane or tugging at his sleeve, as he groans miserably.

In his dream, he finds himself clutching a pistol in lieu of his cane, apparently able to walk fine without it (perhaps he was carrying around just for looks). There's something different about him -- his stride is more confident, more powerful, predatory even; like there's something else in control of his body and he's being forced to watch this through his own eyes like a puppet. He's in a hallway, not unlike the corridors of the very hospital he'd been wandering, albeit with better lighting than the corridors he'd been exploring before.

Everything feels hazy and unpleasantly warm. And a mere few steps ahead of him is a man -- the man's face is a blur to him, but he feels an intense disdain for him, a nasty, vicious grin parting his lips as he stalks after him. This man, he rationed, ruined his life. He was responsible for all of this, for why he was here. And for this, the man must pay.

In the back of Voss's mind, he knows that while he thinks himself as better than most people, he typically wasn't one to stalk someone down a hallway with the intent to kill. He felt like he was regressing, somewhat, into something more vengeful and angry.

"Mr. Voss, please come to your senses," begs the man. He's young, probably thirty. He wears a brown coat and black-rimmed glasses. He's too old to be a student, perhaps he's a faculty member? Voss doesn't know, nor does he know why he's wanting to kill this man. "You don't need to do this. I know I caused you to lose your job, but you're being irrational right now--"

"Irrational? Me?" Voss fires a shot in the other man's direction and misses, the bullet ricocheting off a wall. The man in the coat yelps and begins to run away from Voss, turning round a corner out of view. His hurried footsteps can be heard sprinting away and Voss gives chase, slowing to a stop as he listens for his prey. He can hear both the faint sound of breathing and the soft rumbling of an elevator, stalking towards that sound to find the brown-coated man standing at the elevator door and urging it to open already before Voss can close the distance between them.

Another shot is fired, and misses, and the doors roll open with a pleasant ding. The man scrambles inside and starts mashing the button for the doors to close, but it's too late. Voss has wedged himself between the doors, cornering the shaking man as he presses the tip of his pistol into the man's forehead.

"Going down," he says with a smile, stepping inside the elevator and allowing the doors to close behind him.

He pulls the trigger.

The noise startles Voss awake on the floor, his entire body itching and his legs aching. Sweat has made his clothes stick to his body, and stranger still, is another person laying beside him on the floor. It's nobody he recognizes, and they appear to be wearing civilian clothes -- perhaps someone who'd entered after him and was trying to check on him?
He can make out the imprint of his cane handle on their jaw and scratch marks all over any visible areas of skin, and when he self-consciously looks down at his hands, he sees blood on his fingers. Gasping audibly, he doesn't even try to wake the other person up, pulling himself up with his cane and running for the door.

OOC: SCENARIO 5

Scenario requirements: You're not too sure how, but your character has fallen asleep. If you are in a group with multiple people, each person just dreams a separate dream. As a mix-up, optionally if you are in a group, you can have one of the people be the VICTIM in your dream if you wish (or victims!) You are aware you are asleep, but nothing you do will wake yourself up in this dream. You walk along the dream, and are forced into multiple unwilling scenarios. In the first, you are chasing someone with a weapon of choice down a long hallway, and they beg you to stop. In the second, you turn a hallway, and see them hiding in the room. You can hear them breathing and drag them out from their hiding spot. In the third you raise your weapon against the victim.

As you wake up you realize it was all a dream, and you are sweating intently. Your hands however, are covered in blood. (If a player is RPING the victim, when they wake up they take -10 damage, and are bleeding at [random location ], otherwise make up a bloodied, unconscious victim)

When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter.
Characters involved: Frederich Voss
Extra effect: Any player in your party [ carrying a flashlight ] will be able to shine it in dark places. This does an additional +1 damage every time they hit any sort of mob (including boss mobs!) when they flash it at them.

If you one person rolls a mob in a PRP/SOLO/ORP thread, nobody else in the thread has to roll for mobs! This post's effect is applicable to ALL characters, flashlight or none!

[Voss has no flashlight.]

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER Frederich is a grim-faced old man with a wiry build, sunken eyes, and bony hands. He walks with a cane and carries himself with much importance, as he places a lot of stock in being seen as intimidating by others. Grey hair tied back in a short ponytail, ghostly pale skin, almost anachronistic way of dress. His coat is padded to make himself look bigger than he actually is.
