It wasn't easy being a teenager with superpowers. It was difficult enough as just a normal teenager, but to throw monsters and magic into the mix was just mean. As it were, Peter Gallo had always been a relatively good student. His grades were always good, fueled by his desire to compete with the others in his class, regardless of whether or not they cared. But his late night adventures often had him dozing off. He tried not to be obvious about it, instead taking naps during times of social interaction instead of during actual class time, but that meant his friends outside of class were still only limited to people he knew were involved in this monster and magic business.
Homework was done before he even thought about going out, not about to ruin his reputation or chances at getting into a good college just because he was curious about youma and everything Haven told him she'd learned about them. Many seemed to lurk in the shadows, so the park seemed like a good place as any to start. But instead of a youma, there was someone else he could sense close by.
"Quiet night, huh?" he asked when their paths crossed close enough to hear each other, but it was still difficult to see in the darkness. From the aura, it was a senshi, probably new to the whole magic thing. "I'm Oberon. I don't think we've met before."

Drew Bones was quietly walking home, he had spent the day in the library studying old newspapers, then battling a youma with Sailor Victoria at the bookstore. He was tired and wanted to just go home and go to sleep. He wasn't even hungry and didn't even want to think about art at the moment. He had just turned 14, the anniversary of Dria's vanishing had come and gone again, and now he was a magical superhero who was supposed to help save the world. He let out a sigh.
A sense of power brushed by him, and then, "Quiet night, huh?" A voice in the darkness. "I'm Oberon. I don't think we've met before."
Another Sailor! If Drew could sense it right, this one was about the same level as himself. And he had a pure feel to him. Feel?
"Um, yes. It is. I'm Etamin." He turned to the silhouette.

"Etamin? Excellent. Nice to meet you," he greeted as he approached closer. "Hey, you're pretty young too. Did you just start doing this, or have you been around for a while and we just haven't crossed paths?" Oberon wondered, making to circle the other senshi curiously.
"Hmm, let me guess. Senshi of... scarabs? Uh, or... deserts?" he offered, trying to decide what theme Etamin's outfit was. He knew from experience that the outfit didn't always match the magic. Then again, what was a good outfit that embodied "adventure"?
"Pyramids? It's something Egyptian, right?" he asked with a grin.

Drew was astounded that the other scout knew so much and yet so little about him. "Well... " Drew was unsure about how much to tell him - wait, had he been doing this for years as a kid? "Just started, you?" Oberon had circled around him. "Hmm. Close. Hierogyphics. You?"

“Eh, I’ve been around for a few years,” Oberon revealed, although he supposed he was selling himself short. He’d been doing this for almost five years, to be exact. He still knew he wasn’t at his potential power level just yet, so that was kind of lame.
“Hieroglyphics? Ah! I was close. My power is adventure. So, if you’re new, I hope you’ve been staying clear of the Negaverse and the youma, yeah? And those Dark Mirror Senshi I’ve heard can throw you through mirrors and corrupt you, but they haven’t been doing that a lot, recently, I guess.” Sailor Hawk Oops!! So sorry, I missed your tag! If you quote me like this I’ll definitely respond much faster! <33

"Adventure? That sounds interesting." Etamin nodded. "Well as far as the negaverse goes, I've met a few youma, most of them not fully constructed yet. My worst was a book youma that threw razor sharp books. Dark Mirror Senshi? Can some Senshi become evil? And go through Mirrors?" Etamin shivered. "What else do I need to know?"

”A book youma?” Oberon wondered out loud, crossing his arms over his chest, one hand lifting to rub at his chin in thought. “Strange. I’ll have to make a note of that one.” He would definitely have to talk to Perdita about that one later.
“Hey now, anyone can be good or evil. That, I think, has more to do with someone’s own will. The thing we should all be careful about is being corrupted by chaos. That’s the thing you won’t have a choice about,” he nodded his head sagely. “It would probably be best not to confuse the two. Senshi can be evil, but someone in the Negaverse could be good… rare, since they’re affected by chaos, but it’s possible,” he explained, uncrossing his arms and placing his hands on his hips as he looked the other kid over. “You really are new at this, aren’t you?” he asked in surprise. He thought he was just exaggerating.

Etamin's eyes were wide at the information he had gained. "Yeah, I think that it was, hmm.. May, maybe when I started. Wow, has it been five months already? Still though, I'm pretty new." Etamin closed his eyes for a moment. "There are still so many basic things I do not know, or do not understand about this war. And you've been fighting for five years - how does a child do that?"

Oberon sputtered in exasperation, lifting his hands to place on his hips. "Hey now, who are you calling a child when you're just a kid yourself? It wasn't like I was six when I started," he huffed, still eyeing the kid curiously. "As long as you keep your neck out of trouble, everything will come with experience. Although it's good to ask questions when you have them," he said, not at all surprised that Etamin was relatively new, what with how many were showing up recently.
"Hey, if you're still alive after five months, that's food. And it's not like the rest of us don't have lives, too. Senshi have been around in this city longer than I have. I know some who have been around longer than me," he admitted with a small nod.

"I'm sorry, didn't mean to make you mad. You said five years." Etamin commented. "At our stage in life, five years is a long time." People had been fighting for more than five years? Etamin shook his head in disbelief, how did they stay strong for so long?

Oberon let out a small sigh and shook his head. "I'm not mad," he clarified but didn't bother going farther than that. It was easy to be a senshi when he didn't have a choice. There was a youma and he needed to help and there was a cat and then he was Oberon.
"I'm not gonna say it was easy, but I had people to help out. You'll find some senshi much younger than us and they need our support the most because people tend to not think they can do anything. I mean it's dangerous of course, but we can still help out, right?" he asked with a grin.

Sailor Etamin grinned. "You're right. No matter what age we are, we can help each other in the war against the negaverse." He frowned for a minute. "Even if it is just supporting each other in personal matters. My friend Osiris is a college student, and when he's not studying for exams, or fighting the Negaverse with me, he is helping me search for my sister."

”Your sister is missing?” Oberon asked, frowning in concern. “Have you filed a missing persons report? How long has she been missing?” he asked, hoping that their parents or whoever was responsible for them did the basic steps in trying to find her. “Jeez, I’m sorry about that. What’s her name? I can try to keep an ear and eye out for her, too. Where and when did she go missing?” he wondered, hoping the Negaverse was not involved.

Etamin gave a hollow laugh. "Xandria, or just Dria, vanished three years ago during an emergency plane landing. The police declared it a cold case a year and half ago. My parents threw away a business worth millions trying to find her. She was my twin, and I about lost my mind when I lost her. Our family fell apart." Etamin fell silent. He had never admitted this much to anyone, even Deme. "Sometimes, I feel the only way to heal my family is to at least find closure. Even..." His shoulders started to shake. Weakly, he continued. "Even if that means I find out that she has been dead all this time."

"Three years??" he sputtered in surprise, but it didn't last long. He frowned thoughtfully, "So she would have been... eleven? Twelve?" Oberon shook his head, understanding that losing a loved one wasn't the easiest thing to go through.
"That's rough, buddy," he said, not entirely sure how to break it to him that chances were slim. Either she died during the crash, or was taken by people who didn't have good intentions for young girls, or, if she was alive and hadn't made contact with her family yet, she didn't want to be found.
The third option, Oberon decided, was highly unlikely. Personally, he thought he would have a pretty good chance at survival on his own since he'd been trained in surviving in the wilderness since he was in elementary school, but typical rich girls, in his experience, spent their time on more sophisticated hobbies like equestrian sports or just being a socialite. Besides, if she didn't lose her memories and wanted to get in contact with her family, she could have easily gone to the police. Unless she was abducted and held against her will, which was another issue entirely.
"Where did they land? Somewhere around the city, I assume since you're here. I'm sure you've already looked, but I can try to dig up old newspaper articles to see if someone mentioned a middle school girl being found."Sailor Hawk sorry for the delay!! We can wrap soon and then they can meet up again if you'd like!!
