Your character turns the corner and is suddenly greeted by an apparition of character of your choice, from either this meta OR from before it in their lives that was important to them. That character begins to talk to them, as if they were that person (just rp it out yourself for that part, as this is what your character THINKS is that character). Your character is CONVINCED that this is this person, and they are alive.
The apparition begins to accuse your character of things. They could be anywhere from "why are you making these choices" to "you did __ wrong". You feel paranoia and regret. If you are rping with multiple characters, for this part, you CANNOT see anything other than the apparition. The more they talk, the more the apparition's face, and body begins to rot, as if rapidly going through the stages of the infection. At the very end, you are left talking to an Infected version of the apparition, before it dissolves away. Their accusations never leave you
When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter.

Suddenly, in the fog, Shaun found a door. Doors led to places, hopefully safe places that weren't full of mist and terror. He shoved his way inside and slid against the door, taking deep breaths as he tried to hold back his panic. He stayed there in the dim light for a moment before standing up and beginning to explore. He wanted to find people. He wanted to find a place to hide. He wanted to find a place that wasn't here, just for a little while.
He staggered into what had to be a waiting room, apparently empty, and crashed down on one of the seats, letting himself melt into the uncomfortable cushions.
“Shaun...” Shaun's eyes opened and he stood up quickly, feeling a dizziness pass over him as he did so.
“Who... who's there?!” he exclaimed, but he knew.
“Mon ami... Why didn't you catch me?” The face before him was young, dirty, forgotten. It was a little boy with a mop of brown hair, untamed not from natural growth like Shauns, but from a lack of care.
“Bill?”
“Why did you let me fall?”
“I...” Shaun had thought he had forgotten about Bill, about the child he had once run through the streets with, the child he had climbed and clambered and pickpocketed with. But he could never forget his best friend. “I didn't! I tried to catch you!” Nor could he forget how Bill had looked, crumbled and bloody on the ground when he'd missed his handhold on the wall and fallen oh so far...
“No you didn't. But that's always you, always looking out for yourself.” Bill said bitterly. His young face began to hollow, and Shaun trembled.
“I...”
“You're so selfish!” Bill's lips pursed unhappily, and then began to rot away. “You're always so selfish, and you never share. Well, I do.”
“No... No you don't! You never...” Shaun was confused. “Bill, what is this, what's going on?”
“I do too! I gave you a sandwich! I gave you a bear!”
“No, I got that from a toy store! Recently!” Shaun protested, holding his backpack tightly... but Bill was not listening. Bill was angry with him. Bill had a right to be.
“You're doing it again, too! Right now! You're keeping everything for yourself, and not sharing with anybody!” Bill crossed his arms, which flaked and peeled and rotted. “You're a bad person, you know. They'll get you. They all will. All your friends.”
“I... No they won't!”
“They already hate you.” Bill stuck out his tongue, and it fell out and dissappeared into the mist that lurked at the floor, “Thats why they left you. That's why they left you alone.”
“They didn't...” the protest died in his throat. He was alone, and why shouldn't he think that it was because he was left? Anger coiled in his chest, and his face warmed.
“They did.” said Bill, smugly. He'd always liked to win an argument.
“You won't leave me, will you Bill?” Shaun asked, his voice quiet. Bill, now, was a walking corpse, an infected, though he was barely four feet tall. But, still, he was better than nothing...
“No.” said Bill, starting to dissolve away, “You deserve to be alone.”
“No! Wait!” But he was gone. “No...” Shaun slumped against the chair, crying and confused and painfully, painfully alone...
Character's name: Shaun Sawyer Character's faction: Prison Character's Rank: Officer Character's journal link:Link Character's survival stats: View BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER Pale white skin with freckles, pale blonde hair and blue eyes – Shaun looks like a young, handsome, somewhat washed out young man. His face was rounder in his childhood, and elongated with puberty, but he still looks like the imp that he is and was, and his body is lean but muscular and very flexible. He has a cute teddy bear (or is it a monkey?) backpack that he uses to carry stuff in. Its really cute.
Shaun is mischevious, easygoing, and very friendly but he's also a little reckless by nature, especially when showing off his acrobatics. He needs people and does not do well alone, so he makes a great teammate and will be as helpful as possible, but ultimately he is out for himself.
