Sophomore Quest: Workouts

The leaders felt that now you have a higher standing in the group it was time to enforce workouts. Both good for the mind and the body.

Quest Notes:
- Remember only Sophomore Level people can do this quest!
- Please roll each in separate posts and RP accordingly.
- You may do this one in a group or as a solo.
- 500 words mandatory for this quest!
- You can re roll if you get a double number.

Roll 1d10 in Four separate posts and match your results with the below.

  1. Run some laps around the Gym!
  2. Is that weights? You use a few weights that were left behind from the raids.
  3. Wildcard: Choose a activity to do some exercise! (Remember the area was raided, so there is no pool and the actual large gym-equipment seems to have been destroyed)
  4. Time to do some curl-ups.
  5. Push ups are the way to go.

  7. There is a bar still attached to the wall, do some pull-ups!
  8. I think some nice relaxing Yoga will do, theres a soft section of the floor to the side of the gym.

  10. Jumping jacks time!


Rewards:
- This quest is considered complete once every player inside has rolled all the times and made the minimal 500 word count each!

Normally Kammy wasn't one to question the word of her leaders. They had gotten the university through some tight spots, and kept them alive for the whole month. But on this occasion she was very tempted to ask them just why they had to do this. Workouts? Now??

It was one thing to keep fit, but another thing to be expending needless energy in the middle of a crisis when one needed to be ready and raring to flee for their life and didn't know when their next meal would be. And it was really hard to do that when you waste all your energy on gym classes.

None the less she complied, turned up to the appointed time and area, and waited for instructions.

First, it was jumping jacks. No problem. She did them easily, jumping up and down as instructed. Though this was only for the first set of twenty, after that it became sloppy, before she flopped on the ground. She was a computer geek, not a athlete...

Kammy took one look at the weights before tuning the other way. No, no she was not about to lift weights. She was no Cecil, she had no stats in any barbarian classes, and her strength was dismal to begin with.

"Aww come on! You at least gotta give it go. Try it out!" A senior gave her a pep talk, and with a little convincing she walked back to the weight.

"I'm not a warrior class." She mumbled, crouching in front of the weights. While these weren't the massive ones, as those were long gone, they still looked pretty big. Apprehensive, Kammy took a hold of the metal bar and tried to stand up. It didn't budge. She tried again, and nothing happened. Placing all her strength into it the hold she pulled, stood up a little, then accidentally let go and fell backwards, rolling over a few times until she came to a stop.

Weight lifter, she was not.

The senior watching her frowned, tapping his chin in thought. "Hmm, how about you pick a exercise this time?"

"Okay..." Rubbing her arms, Kammy hunted around the gym for something to do. After raiding the cupboard, she managed to find a lone basketball. The basketball hoop was still intact, which provided with a opportunity to play some hoops.

She wasn't very good at it though ,missing most of the shots, but at least it was more fun then weight training.

The senior clapped to get her attention. "That looked like a good workout. Now, how about you try some pull ups?" He indicated to the bar still attached to the wall. Kammy groaned in response; she wasn't any good with weights, why would she do any better with pull ups?"

"Don't be like that! Here, I'll show you how it's done!" After demonstrating to her with his amazing muscles, he moved out of the way so she could stand there, grasping the bar and then letting her legs fall underneath so she had to hold on.

"Okay, push, push!"

She grunted, trying her very best to pull her own weight up. Eventually she managed to do one pull up, before she called it quits.

At least the senior was happy. She just felt sore all over.
