Your character wanders around outside, too scared to go into the hospital, too scared to go back to the fog. At some point the fog encroaches, and envelops them entirely. They begin to hear voices from all directions, and it directly shatters their psyche as they are no longer able to process or comprehend what or who they are. They wander the fog for hours, trapped in a state of non-living, as they begin to develop several personas, and talk to each persona of themselves to cope with the situation.
Eventually the effect subsides, and they escape the fog, feeling shaken. It feels like however, a switch has become undone, and they might become unstable again, to the point of even being taken over by the other personas.
If rping this event with multiple people, you only have to pick ONE person to get trapped by the fog, as the other people simply search for them. At the end as the fog recedes they can find them again!

The phone trick was too annoying and besides her headache, her skin itched. Therefore, she walked outside of the hospital. She, temperarily forgot how awful the outside was. It was not better than the inside. One thing that Gretel was thankfully of was the phone ring subsided, but she didn't notice the fog was going for her. As if her guess was correct, she was, in a moment, surrounded by fog.
Inside the fog again, even the torch light didn't strike through for a clear path. She began to hear voices again. "He.....l....p....m.." There was a weak whisper from her left. "....Everyone is infected..d....d" And then from her right. "I.....do..n...'t....wa....n....t....to.....d...i.....e" An urgent female voice called from Gretel's back, she turned around but there was just fog and more fog. "Mama....." A children cried, from above. She turned around and around, voices were coming from here, there and everywhere. They talked to her, calling different names. "Run....my dear brother..r, I'll catch you up...p." A male voice snapped vehemently into her mind. "My doll.....I....w...an.t...my.....d..o...l..l...b...a.c.k..." This time, it will from below, a weak girl asked for her lost doll. "Give me all your money-stuff!" Commanded a rude mid-age gangster. "The god is coming to punish us. That's the end of mankind. No....one.....escape." She ran in the fog, all the voices seemed to be directed to her and not, there was a devoted god believer announcing the end of the world. "Let me out." It was a big labyrinth and she was trapped. Which way is the exit? "T...h...i...s.. w....a...y..." An old gentle but ragged voice beckoned, as if she could see a hand waving to her.
Time was trivial when you're in the fog, lost within it for hours could drive one crazy. No exception for Gretel. She felt she couldn't analyze in a calm way, so she walked towards where the elderly voice came from. "Pa....p...pa.....w....here're yo..u..u....going..g..g? Come here." A young voice stopped her and told her to go another direction. "E...Els...a? Elsa..a..a? I'm here, where're....you?" The young male voice called for his lover and that was her.
Who is she?
Who is she? Is she a mother of a poor daughter? A female love of a young man? A father taking care of two kids? Nope. Nope. But who is she?
She was a poor soul trapped in the fog, she was no longer living.
"Follow the bread crumbs Hansel leave behind and we can get out," A sweet voice came from her Gretel's mouth, she was smiling innocently. The next moment her head whipped to the side, "Idiot! Where's the bread crumbs, it's not ******** fairy tale. I say this way! We came from this direction!" She snapped, gritting her teeth. "We're gonna die....." Her shoulder slumped and tears threatened to drop. She held her head gently like a caring mother, "Shhh, we'll be fine. No need to worry, the light will protect us." She cooed to herself, touching her cheeks affectionately with hand crossed. A tear dropped, "We'll never get out." The hand changed to brush her hair, "We'll dear, don't cry." Sneering, she tsk'ed. "No time to waste, retard! Go this way and we can get out this stupid fog!" She marched forward - "Wait! That's the wrong way, a witch lives there, she'll eat us!" Gretel's body jolted and went another way, the arm at the back sloped downward. "This way, you idiot!" She moved a step forward again, "No, that way's dangerous." She turned and went opposite direction. "Don't argue, dear, we're a family," her head turned left and right then smiled softly. "I SAY THIS WAY!" She raised and balled into a fist, brandished as she yelled. "No way." Gretel puffed up and glared at her left hand side with nobody there. "Don't fight.....don't fight even we're dying..." The young lady wailed then calmly suggested, "Let's rock, paper, scissor. The winner decides which way we go." She raised both hands up, playing the game all by herself. The right hand won, she cheered happily but shortly snorted. "I win, we go this way."
Gretel walked with her torch on, towards the direction idly. There was fog and more fog but she didn't stop. She felt she should give up but she didn't. "I say we're going the wrong way." Her legs still moving ahead, it was still thick fog blocking her way. "No, we're closer. See. The fog is trying to block our way." She proudly said, pranced vehemently. She walked and walked, into nowhere, she had no idea how long she had walked or if she was closer to the hospital. Maybe her persistence had drawn the attention of god, gradually the fog thinned out and she could barely see the hospital. "You know we'll be there for you." The soft female voice whispered and vanished, her mind was clear of thought.
As she walked towards the hospital, the persona she created went quiet, fell into sleep. Yet, when she was emotional unstable again, they would come out to help.
We'll be there, always. When you need our help.
