OOC: SCENARIO 6 Scenario requirements:Your character wanders around outside, too scared to go into the hospital, too scared to go back to the fog. At some point the fog encroaches, and envelops them entirely. They begin to hear voices from all directions, and it directly shatters their psyche as they are no longer able to process or comprehend what or who they are. They wander the fog for hours, trapped in a state of non-living, as they begin to develop several personas, and talk to each persona of themselves to cope with the situation. Eventually the effect subsides, and they escape the fog, feeling shaken. It feels like however, a switch has become undone, and they might become unstable again, to the point of even being taken over by the other personas. If rping this event with multiple people, you only have to pick ONE person to get trapped by the fog, as the other people simply search for them. At the end as the fog recedes they can find them again! When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter Characters involved: Annalise Lapointe Extra effect: Any player in your party [ carrying a flashlight ] will be able to shine it in dark places. This does an additional +1 damage every time they hit any sort of mob (including boss mobs!) when they flash it at them

She heard her mother make a chide remark to her while she walked under the overhang of the hospital. Lease just kept going, but she couldn't find herself going inside the building. She began to walk in circles outside, pacing and turning her head towards the looming building every so often.
She was chewing on the remains of the nails, picking at the cuticles, flashing tired eyes the building. She should go in. Her head hurt, she felt sick. She didn't feel well, but for some reason she couldn't figure out if she actually wanted to go in there. There were people in there, did she want to deal with them? They would be annoying, ask about her well being. Hospitals were sick places. But she was sick.
The pacing continued, the circles' diameters began to increase and her steps began to take her further from the entrance with each step. The fog began to creep through the gates, but Lease didn't notice it until she could almost feel it go inside her nose like a hit of second hand smoke. She wheezed, she stumbled backwards and began to panic as her vision was taken over by the substance. It hadn't been this bad before, the voices hadn't been so clear when she had run from the casino.
Lease began to panic as the voices called to her from every direction. They beckoned her, cooed at her and sneered. There were voices who complained, ridiculed and nagged. She could hear the taunts and the teases, the pity and the false praise.
"Stop it!" She screamed, clutching her head. They pulled with invisible hands, plucking pieces she hadn't known had broken apart in her head - ********, the flowers? She thought briefly but it too scattered away.
"STOP!"
"But why?"
There was only the fog. And her, clutching her head and feet working on their own. Did they know where to go? She didn't ... she didn't know...
"Because... ... its..."
"Why?"
"... I don't know...." Realization. She didn't. Why was she here. Where even. The girl looked around, she didn't know where she was least of all who she was. She felt like an alien in her own skin. (Was it her own skin?) Panic.
"Its okay, we do." The plural pronoun didn't even register. It almost felt right but she couldn't even feel what felt right at the moment. She felt so empty and shattered yet full and heavy at the same time. "It'll be alright, right?"
"Oh course, I know what to do."
"I dunno, I wish mom was here."
"Mom is a b***h and doesn't know what she's talking about."
"We shouldn't talk about mother like that."
She had stopped walking at one point, she was staring at her hands. When had they left her head? Were these her hands anyways? They didn't look like her's. "I'm scared."
"Of course she is, pathetic."
"It's okay if Other Lease is, its only natural. We can't all be ********, I'm tired of this, why aren't we moving? Are we going to live out here now?"
"Oh be quiet Other Lease, we just need to collect ourselves and we'll figure out how to get back."
"We-we should go back to the hospital..."
"But, Other Lease, it'll be annoying."
"No, Other Lease is right, we should go back."
"But we're lost."
"Just move." Somehow they got the process to work, one foot in front of the other in a sort of coordination. A direction was agreed upon even though the fog made it impossible to find a clear path back towards the hospital itself - at least they knew they hadn't gone past the gate, that was very hard to miss. But heading to their destination was going to be a trial, there would be bickering eventually between all of them if they didn't make it quickly enough.
And it didn't seem like they did, it seemed like hours before the first glimpses of receding fog was felt. The hospital's entrance finally began to come into view, it should have been a relief but Lease found herself shaking as the last traces of fog was left behind her. Her hands returned to her temples, pressing deeply. It still hurt, everything hurt. She felt tired but more importantly, something felt broken, something felt off. But she couldn't figure out what it was exactly.
"Shh," Lease whispered, "we don't want to alarm her. She's not feeling well."
She stumbled towards the building.OOC [ Infection Rate ]: 45 -> 55/100 Character's name: Annalise (Lease) Lapointe Character's faction: Mall Character's journal link: bloopCharacter's survival stats: bloop BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER 16, female, short and a little overweight.
