This event can only be rped with TWO or more people. One of the characters begins to lose their mind, convinced that a someone is talking to them, telling them there is safety beyond the fog. They begin to drag the other character that direction as well.
The other character now has the option to fight back with that player, or accept. If they follow, the first player will continue to talk about this imaginary person talking to them (make one up, base it on a person close to that character) has promised them an increasingly more ludicrous count of promises (you can make these up). They get stranger and more unrealistic.
This rp continues until the second character being dragged realizes something is up with the first character. They can choose to roll 1d6 to drag the character back towards the hospital away from the thickness of the fog. If the roll even, they succeed, if they roll odd, the other character continues to drag them. Continue this RP until the second character has rolled 1d6 and rolled even successfully to drag the other player out.

Austin had run himself ragged for a second time: not stopping until he was well away from the creature that had come out of the woods, covered in eyes, to attack. Now he had turned from a mad dash to a slow plod, a little voice in his ear directing him which way to go. Toward safety, toward somewhere he could be away from the beasts and the infected, the dangers of the world around.
"There's even alcohol there," the voice offered in his ear, and that sounded pretty ******** good to Austin. He nodded, bobbing, eyes narrowed as he advanced on someone outside. He thought he recognized them, but maybe that was just in his mind.
"You should bring them along," the voice continued, casually and confidently: his best friend George, who he met Freshman year. George had been pretty dumb about certain things, but always had an eye for who was worth spending time with, so Austin moved in that direction.

Austin's slim and a bit taller than average at 5'10' with sandy hair shorn short on the sides, longer and curly on the top. His eyes, behind a pair of thin wire thick plastic frames with the wrong prescription, are faded green and usually amused; his skin is fair, freckling in sun unless he's careful; his mouth is just a little too full, in a way that appeals to most people.
Could she go back to the Casino now? Yeah, even though she was almost eaten, Kammy was starting to wonder if the casino was a better place to be. At least she wasn't going batshit crazy there. Actually, she wanted the whole apocalypse to just be over so things could go back to normal.
Instead of her wishes being granted, she just went out of the hospital. She didn't know were was safer, but it seemed no were was safe, and her only choices was back inside, or the fog.
She didn't want to go into the fog again.
Her frightened gaze took in the scenery around her, then did a double take. s**t, was that person a illusion too?
"Who are you?!" She called out on impulse, her net ready to fight them off in case they attacked. She was so done with illusions. "Don't mess with me I got mage spells!"

Austin didn't know this girl, for sure -- but George was telling him it was fine, and he had some faith in his friend people skills, enough so that he immediately started bobbing his head in a not and stepped up beside her, one hand very light on her shoulder.
"I know which way to safety. George is leading. We should bring anyone we find along with us, okay?" If the girl had known Austin, at all, this might leave her alarmed. After all, he wasn't usually nice to people. But just now, he was too distracted to do anything else, to do anything but nudge the girl along in the right direction.
"We just have to go through the fog, to find a better place to camp."
It was either a blessing or a curse that Kammy was not familiar with Austin's normal personality, but then it wouldn't have mattered as she was just desperate to be talking to a actual flesh and blood person, and the non aggressive gesture helped her to relax. The blue jersey he sported was also the best thing ever at this moment.
"Safety?" she repeated the words, folding her net up. She wanted to go somewhere safe and find others on the way, but going through that fog again, not something she was looking forward to. "I dunno...that frog is really creepy, and it makes you feel worse. Like infected sort of worse."

She'd left the hospital. It was just as frightening inside the hospital as it was in the fog. Nowhere seemed to be free of accusing, familiar voices or phantoms that came and went in what felt like the blink of an eye.
Unlike before, this time, Hitsu actually found people. People she recognized. Not from before the virus, but from after. People that wouldn't whisper or vanish or rot away before her eyes.
It just wouldn't do to be alone, even if that meant that she was following the man she'd tried practically maul mere hours ago. Things were different. Emotions changed. If he was trying to babble stupid things over the radio this time, they had gone unheard because of all of the static.
Kammy was there as well, and aside from her strange manner of speaking and the fact that she'd called Cecil a barbarian on more than one occasion... Her presence was welcome.
Hitsu approached them cautiously, wordlessly. She did, however, drag her feet audibly. There would be no sneaking up on anyone even if she had wanted to. A sheen of sweat was visible against her skin, which was uncharacteristically pale even for her.

"You have to trust me on this," Austin argued, fervently, and then looked up as Hitsu approached. His head bobbed in a kind of easy-going agreement with something that certainly wasn't there, and he rolled his shoulders out in a testing sort of way, taking two steps toward the other girl. His hand turned from a gently, nudging touch to a vise-like grip around Kammy's shoulder. She'd have to really push to get him off.
"Look! Hitsu! Yes, I see her, shush, I already -- " He was apparently unconcerned he might get slapped again, trying to drag Kammy toward the fog with one hand and waving Hitsu over with the other.
"There's food, too, apparently. Real food, not just potatoes."

Kammy wasn't sure how to answer him, her hands scratching her arms to get rid of that persistent itch that just wouldn't go away. Then out of all people Hitsu had turned up, but...woah, did she look bad. Like really bad.
"Hitsu! are you okay?" She may not be in the girls good books, but she still cared for her fellow uni students. "Was that you on the radio I heard-"
She stopped as Austin gripped her shoulder tightly. "THE HECK YOU'RE DOING?!" She shouted, paranoia turning to anger in a split second. Though she didn't shake him off, the promise of food and safety still in her head, it was clear she was pissed.

Austin called out and gestured her, and Hitsu moved more eagerly toward them. She thought little, at this point, of the man talking to himself. It was equal parts worrisome and reassuring. It couldn't be good, but at least she wasn't the only one...
She could only shake her head at Kammy's question of her state, but she did not elaborate further.
"Where are you going?" Hitsu asked, eyes following his motion ahead into the dense fog. "There are animals... Thorns. Not safe."
His mention of food made her feel sicker rather than more eager, and she was shaking her head and even though she was close to them she began to lean away just as soon as she'd gotten there.
"That casino was serving more than potatoes, and from the rumors I heard..." Well, what was occurring just before their escape, it wasn't much rumor. "I don't trust meat. Is that your idea of real food?" There was a slight pause. "Did you hear someone on the radio?" Just because hers had been going haywire didn't mean that maybe, possibly, someone else got a coherent message every now and again.
Her brows drew down in displeasure the moment that Kammy shouted and her muscles tensed.
"Keep your ******** voice down," Hitsu hissed. "What's wrong with you?"
She cast her gaze around them, listening, expecting things to come at them from the fog.

"George has promised," Austin carried on as if no one had said anything to him, as if no one had objected, as if Kammy hadn't screamed out for help in a rage. He reached out to catch Hitsu as well, working to drag the pair of them back out into the promise. His tone was weirdly matter-of-fact, certain, confident.
"He has promised it's safe there. He says there's a TV. A TV that gets cable. we can catch up on the news." He pulled, as he walked backwards toward danger, fearless with just a slight fevered edge behind his eyes. "And a swimming pool. A heated one. Someone's old mansion, just ready for us to move in, safe..."
What was wrong with her? Well, there were a few things (constant itching, seeing faces, a tendency to shout random gaming phrases that no one would understand), but she didn't feel like elaborating on any of this.
"Whats wrong with me? I'm stuck in a silent hill game, I keep seeing monsters, can't find anyone else, I have - 20 to my sanity and above all I have no decent armor!" She felt like Hitsu was reprimanding her, and she didn't like it, meanwhile Austin was making things a hundred times worse, and even in her addled state she could sense something wasn't quite right.
"Thats not true!" She declared hotly. "Theres no computer there."

A beat, listening, Austin's head cocked to the side. For just a moment, it looked like he might let go, and then he came fiercely back into focus.
"There is a computer. And apparently it's Bill Murray's summer house, so there should be some really great s**t there."

Austin reached for her and Hitsu didn't immediately protest when he took her by the arm. She looked curious, a bit skeptical. She wanted to believe there was safety in the direction that they were going. "We should find others, shouldn't we?" Hitsu offered, looking back as she followed them with steps that were only quickened because of Austin's enthusiasm.
She expected to see fog, but what she saw - or who she saw - made her dig in her heels immediately. "Cecil?!" Eyes suddenly wide in horror, she took in the sight of wounds and blood that he hadn't had when they had separated in the hospital. That he didn't have even now. Because he wasn't really there.
"Where are you going?" He called to her, arm over his middle, shuffling toward her at a much slower rate than even she had been walking. "Why are you leaving us here?" - The 'us' made her heart wrench painfully. Her fevered, infected mind had seen people here who had been missing. Frightened. Angry. But alive. - "You're leaving us to die."
"N-no, I won't..." Hitsu stammered, and she began to pull against Austin's hold. "Let go of me! Cecil is hurt; we have to help him!" They could take him to this safe place, but he couldn't keep up without their help. "Austin!"

"Cecil's there already," Austin offered, easily, but maybe there was something frantic pulling into his voice now, something more than a little bit crazy.
"And the place is full of Victoria's Secret models, oh, you're probably not that into that," This was to Kammy; he tipped his head a moment later, looking at someone who wasn't there, still pulling them away toward the fog -- which was now dangerously close.
"George says Fassbender's there, too. Ladies like Fassbender. Hell, I like Fassbender. He's going to put a thai order in to arrive when we do, what do you want him to order for you?"
