Sometimes Maxine would sneak off the St. Mag's grounds and make her way to the other schools in Destiny City. Why? To creep on people who were afraid of St. Mag's girls, of course. There were a surprising amount of people who shuddered or backed away upon being approached by a St. Mag's girl, and Maxine loved it. If they thought she was going to mug them or flash them or something, fine! It was funny to her. Today, Maxine idled outside of the Meadowview High School grounds, staring through the fence at the normal kids going in and out of the building. Meadowview kids, normal as normal could be, with their complete families and their usual homework assignments and teachers who weren't screaming REPENT at all hours of the day (an exaggeration, but it happened sometimes). She couldn't help but swallow a little bitterness at it, but hey, at least she wasn't looking at Crystal girls, with their millions of dollars and hoity-toity everything. Blech. So far, no one had noticed the distinct St. Mag's uniform, but surely someone would catch on soon. Then Maxine could screw around with her new catch and probably be home for supper. Probably. Orangeish Sherbert I am just going to apologize now for whatever Maxine says.

So far…High School was everything that Millie had thought it was going to be. Boring. Very quite boring. The classes were interesting, at least some of them were, and she loved her Star Wars backpack, there was no stopping that…even though she was still super apprehensive about the new movie…she was excited too.
A little.
The day was over and she had stayed after for a computer club that was forming, and as she left the grounds, she saw something strange…a girl in a different uniform, not the ugly orange and white of Meadowview…but the pretty black and dark pink of St. Mags…huh. Maybe this girl was thinking of coming to this school?
She seemed a little lonely.
Well, Millie was a little lonely too, so she went over. “Hey there. Can I help you with anything?”

"Huh?" Maxine froze, somewhat disarmed. It was hard to march in with full jackass guns blazing when someone approached so innocently like that, with no signs of "ew you're a St. Mag's girl begone vile scum." She tried to stall for time as she returned to form. "Well, well, well. Can you help me...?" Her hands went to her hips, a posture projecting confidence that would hopefully keep the other girl from noticing that she'd been caught with her mental pants down. "What could you help me with? Oh, I know. My mom's birthday is coming up. Do you know if anyone at your school smokes pot? She'd loooove some of that dank bud or whatever they're calling it now. Maybe you could grab one of your friends' mom's husbands, too. She'd like one of those." The birthday part was a lie and the last thing her mother wanted was another marriage after Dear Old Dad ******** off to live a happy life with that stupid bimbo Carlie or Carlotta or Carol or whatever her name was. (Tell us how you really feel, eh?) But, of course, this girl didn't need to know that. Mazine would see if she kept her pleasant tone after the screwing around began. A "just kidding" lingered on the tip of her tongue, but she tried her best to keep it down. What kind of troll or edgy comedian apologized, anyway?

Millie just stared at the girl, blinking slowly. Wait, what? She didn’t say anything right away, trying to just process what she was asked. Did anyone smoke pot? One of her friends mom’s husbands?
Finally after a few seconds of almost a deer in headlights look, the teen snorted. “Yeah okay.” It was a joke. This girl was joking. At least she hoped she was joking. If she wasn’t well…Millie was just going to say she was and be done with it so that was great…for now though…
“I’m Millie, It’s nice to meet you. Seriously though. Do you need any help with anything that I can actually help you with? Or are you just here to be a troll? Because, if you are, kudos…but if not, you have serious issues, and I can take you inside to talk to the school counselor if you need…since I know that you don’t get any of the help that you might have to have over at St. Mags. You do have the best uniforms in the city though, I’ll give you that.”

That momentary deer-in-the-headlights look brought a twisted smile to Maxine's face, but when Millie spoke again, it quickly went away. This was no ordinary target; she had the wherewithal to provide a satisfying zinger on comeback. Maxine kinda liked that. A lot. Being impatient, she threw her plans out the window. "Oh, come on! You're making it hard for me to do my dirty work here. You only wigged out for, like, a second. You've got guts." After throwing everything out, she regained her composure and pulled out her usual devious grin. "I like that. So, Millie, I'm Maxine. Nice to meetcha. Good on you for returning fire and not totally letting your brain s**t the bed. And how did you know the St. Mag's counselors are useless? I wouldn't be surprised if they just gave up and started performing exorcisms."
