OOC: SCENARIO *4*
Scenario requirements: A phone begins to ring as you wander the inside of the hospital. At first you do not want to pick it up, but the noise persists. You wander multiple rooms, and there are multiple phones. Each one you pick is a voice from a person you recognize, begging you for help. Whenever you ask where they are, they hang up. The ringing continues, over and over. If you are RPing this with multiple people, all of you hear the ringing, coming from various phones. It is up to you when your character comes to the realization that the ringing is all in their heads, (or if they need other chars to help them realize so!)
When the event is over, add +10 infection to your character's infection meter.
Characters involved: Tyler Burgess (#37)

As Tyler continued, he grasped old, rusted gates that led to a hospital of some sort. Some sort because the hospital looks long abandoned, surrounded by wandering infected. Well, that was a clear indication that anyone left here was in hiding, hold up somewhere with all the supplies, or just plain infected. At least inside he would not have to deal with the strange fog and the even stranger shadows swarming around him. Swallowing his fears, he edged the gate open and slipped inside.
One thing is sure for any who set foot inside the hospital: there is no fog. It is also entirely abandoned, and pitch black.
He found himself wandering the halls slowly and quietly. There no random sounds like dripping of water, rattling of loose windows pane, or the shuffling of infected feet. He edged around corners, peered down hallways and into doors and rooms. He avoided any situation that would leave him vulnerable. He always needed an out. Strange how some of the windows had bars and others didn't. Odd how the doors were numbered, while others were not. Carts of sorts were toppled over in the hallway. He made note of them. He may need them later if he had to make an escape. Scratching his arm idly, he moved quietly onward. When did he start getting itchy? Must be the cold.
He pushed open a two-directional door when he heard it faintly. A ringing sound. It was distinct and unmistakable. It was a phone. One, it could be a survivor calling to the hospital to make sure someone was alive, to seek help. Or it could be someone inside the hospital trying to find their way out or contact someone. He should be smart and not seek it out. Yet, that is exactly what he did. Perhaps it was someone he could get a hold of. Maybe if he was lucky, he could rendezvous with them.
The further he moved down the hall, the ringing echoed. It did not echo like it was reverberating off the walls, but more like there were multiple phones going off at once. Spontaneously, anger roused within him as he jerked the phone to his ear. "WHO IS THIS!?"
"Tyler?" a female voice asked quietly, hushed as if she was in hiding.
His heart skipped. "Sarah?"
"Tyler! W-what are you doing here?" she asked, her voice slightly more urgent.
"Me!? What about you!? You're suppose to be at the hospital across town! Why are you here?"
"I was moved here before it happened. My patients were re-located... Tyler, they were infected. I didn't know. I didn't- I ran and hid myself. They're everywhere here, I can't... Tyler-"
"Where are you?" Tyler asked frantically. He would be able to find her, he will find here if she is here. Now that he knew she was alive, he could find her. He could-
The line goes dead.
Tyler stills. The line is dead. He didn't find out where Sarah was. He didn't get to talk to her. It was too soon to end. Hanging up the phone, he sighed. He couldn't spend too much time dawdling. He had to...
Looking at the phone, something seemed off. Upon closer inspection, Tyler realized that the phone wasn't plugged into a land line... therefore, it shouldn't be able to ring. Even the phone didn't give the dial tone... so what was he hearing?
Was the trauma from the Casino, the infected outbreak, this hospital, being alone... was it all finally getting to him?
