PM TITLE: Hey! I'm interested in this role!
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxI'm a STAR! Maybe? The Betrothed Princess
CHARACTER NAME: Evangeline DuMarke AGE: Twenty Three BRIEF INFO: Fiery, Brave, and Calculating this princess is only afraid of this strange beast of a man who seeks to overpower her. She is stubborn, willful, and determined. The betrayal her countrymen have left her with is stark. Her education in the ways of the world are vast. That being said, her knowledge is based of what she knows, not the fantastical whimsy of others. While she is terrified of the prince, eventually, she will overcome this, if not out of eventual bravery, then out of hatred that would rival the Prince's own blood lust. She is not a prize to be won, and although she finds herself in a precarious situation, she will not be the groomed trophy wife of a miscreant tyrant. She will fight to rise above the rest as the time comes. For now, her captivity it just a bit of biding her time. INTEREST: I've never actually done a limited role play, but it seems cool. The theme seems worth trying out. I'm not really concerned about anything, except maybe hurting someone's feeling if hey reserved a spot and I ended up getting it over them. Upsetting people is never good. (I'm going to copy/paste this to the second one) USERNAME: Stellaluna Skywind

PM TITLE: I"M A NOBODY NAME: Evangeline Ravenna DuMarke ROLE: The Princess AGE: Nineteen PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Tall and built in all the right places, Evangeline is of good figure, but not overwhelmingly so. Her face, gently squared holds captivating blue eyes, a good sized, rounded nose, and pale, gently petal pink lips. Her slightly tanned complexion helps to accent these gentle features, but her gentility ends there.
Her features, while small, are hard and give off an idea of a strong willed woman. Her shoulders, while not expressly broad, and often straight and not dainty to the rest of her womanly figure. She has an ample bosom, but not such that they are proportionate with her athletic figure. The pear shape of her body alludes to the idea of good birthing proportions, but the female is far from the idea of producing children. Her muscles are not overly pronounced, but are quite present.
Her hair falls in loose waves and is the palest of blondes, almost leaning towards white in the spectrum. Her brows are only slightly darker, and her abundance of lashes only adds to the delectability of her overall form.

played by || Stellaluna Skywind NAME: Andromeda Serena Venilia ROLE: The Little Mermaid AGE: Eighteen PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION: Witha mane of dark, water curled hair, Andreomeda posses a rounded square of a face and a straight body. Her skin is pale and unblemsihed from her time out of the sun and in the beautiful etheral lights of the undersea kingdom she has lived in her entire life. Brief stints to the surface have been her only judgement on her own beauty, which she does not find in great abundance. Her nose is small for her face, and gently rounded, giving her over all face a smaller apperance. In contrast, her lips are full with a gentle pink sheen to them. Her ears, often hidden by her abundance of hair, are also small, but quite perceptive. She is lanky, but in the graceful, willowy manner. Her arms and fingers are lon, much like those prized of musicians. Her hair is quite dark, despite her father's light color. She has the darkest hair of all her sisters, and the smallest features, much like her mother.
As a mermaid, her tail is coated in transluscent scales that often take on a silvery blue-green sheen. Of course, when in contact with sunlight, they turn to a primatic color, reflecting the brilliance of colors often missed in the dim watery light. Her fins themselves are feather, and several smaller limbs trail off the main fins which hold a darker blue in color, though remain transluscent. This strange silvery color applies the the scaled pattern on her human legs as well, but is much less prismatic when in the form of flesh.
BACKGROUND: The story begins differently than one may think. Two souls fell in love, but it was not necessarily all consuming as many may have thought. No. The man was a Prince, destined to become King. His need for ascendances to power outshined his need or want for love. Instead, he found a maiden of exceptional beauty and decided to possess her. While the woman was truly flattered, she was not in love with this Prince to be King. Instead, she wanted something simpler out of life. She wanted true love with the boy she had grown up with. The one she loved dearly out of years of comfort and strife in equal parts. They had struck a balance and their happiness was paramount. They understood what compromises would be necessary to coexist with one another. However, the Prince-King was not happy with this. The woman was beautiful, and she would be his queen. Instead of being kind to her, he went and dealt her a blow that would cull her heart to his desires. He had her lover killed. He made it look as though it had been the evil of the sea, rather than his now bloodied hands. His need to possess his future Queen was all consuming. And so he had done what was necessary.
The maiden was distraught, but the Prince showered her with gifts and compliments, offering his condolences to her, and promising a better life. His understanding of love was quite different. He believed that power was a sort of love. He possessed his beautiful Queen and gave her everything she asked for, except in the long run, freedom. He had taken that sort of choice from her, and had replaced himself in the equation. Though their love was built on a ie, the people of the kingdom did not know. Instead, both the young king and his young queen showed only good face to the public, for the sake of their kingdom and the issues at hand. This meant heirs, and happiness. Of course, the Queen granted the King quite a few choices for heirs, but none of them were boys. The king was quite surprised that he would have no sons to bear his name forward. But many daughters he did have, and all beautiful they were. His favorite, however, was his seventh and final daughter. She was the image of her mother, with a spirit for adventure. She was also the most devoted to her father.
Growing through her childhood, she lost her mother quite early on, and the poor girl was distraught, clinging to her father instead of to her sisters, as her other siblings seemed to do. Her heart belonged to her father, as well as her mind. His rule tightened after the loss of his queen. He had cared for her. He cared for her position, and her contribution of his seven daughters, one of which would become Queen of the Sea when he was gone. Instead, he began changing things, making it harder to live in his kingdom. Prejudices became more and more apparent, and the King in his own idea of justice, began to rip the tender seams of his Kingdom apart. The youngest princess followed her father's orders, learning what he taught her. She was the best student. She took his words without question and exacted his lessons in her daily life. Her naive nature blinded her to the plight of her people just outside her door. Even her companions could not break the devout eyes her father and crafted for her. There was only one sliver of hope; her need for adventure.
This need led her to explore the seas when her father was busy, or when she had free time to sneak away from her duty. It was perhaps her only disobedience to her father. She needed air on occasion, and the palace, though it made her happy, was stuffy with her sister's disagreements and their petty squabbles about the future and their positions. Andromeda was young, and needed not think of succession. There was no likely percentage that she would ever be queen, so instead, she fled when the discussion came up. It was on one of these outings with her companion that she came upon the wreckage of a human ship. In the ruins were many strange things, some that simply fell apart when she touched them, others that withstood her curious appendages. Her largest find was that of a Princely man, who looked much like her own form, but with two tails that ended in strange clumping malformations instead of fins. Her curiosity was enthralled. It was through this discovery, that Andromeda's adventurous nature was stoked, developing in a need to get outside, to see lands that were not just her father's kingdom, or that of the sea. This creature could not have come from the sea with no fins.
Hearing tell of the Sea Witch and their powers, Andromeda went in search of the magic wielder who could make her dreams come true. What she found was a frightening mess of an individual with the bottom half of an octopus. This was someone that couldn't be trusted! Someone her father had warned her about since she'd been young. The ugly, deformed creature couldn't possibly be of any help, but the alluring call of the siren beckoned Andromeda forward, enough that it was essential that she struck a bargain with the witch. In doing so, a bargain had to be struck; a contract signed. For the chance to meet this beautiful human Prince, who the witch had shown her in an orb of sight, the mermaid would have to give up something she held dear. And of course, the bargain was on a timed basis. She would not remain a mermaid forever. Instead it would cost her a love of something she had. Perhaps a love for her father? The Sea Witch wanted something more. The mermaid desperately clung to the idea of keeping herself whole. Her love for her father was paramount, as was the love for her kingdom. The bargain was struck. If the mermaid did not make relations with the Prince by the time line, she would be banished from her kingdom, hand her title over to the Sea Witch, and become her slave. The price for the transformation was a small braid of hair, and the mermaid's beloved singing voice.
Offering these things to the Sea Witch, the mermaid signed in her blood, bound by all laws of the sea and began her transformation to see her beloved Prince. However, the Sea Witch, a crafty and deviant figure, did not specify the outcome of the transformation. As the mermaid's lungs began to fill with water, she swam desperately despite the terrible pain of losing her fins. It nearly killed her. When she awoke however, she was beached upon the shore of the human world. Unclothed,s he saw the fine walls of what could only be described as a castle in the distance. She opened her mouth to speak, but instead found no sound. Looking immediately to her bottom half, the mermaid found two pale appendages, covered in a pattern of scales, but to the touch, she found them smooth as skin. Oddly, they looked so much like the scales of her tail. She moved to stand on them, finding only pain as she moved. The Sea Witch had given her legs, but painfully so. Had given her flesh, but marred by a reminder of what she was. Had given her a chance to find her Prince, but no voice with which to answer him, or ask for him. Yet, undaunted by the need to know this strange and beautiful Prince, the mermaid is determined to meet her timeline and have her voice restored so she may share it with her beloved Prince.
PERSONALITY: Andromeda is quite the adventorous sort. Her naivette attiude is spurred from her general lack of kowledge on all things that are not related to her father's rule, or his opinions. She is smart, but aloof and in her own little bubble of the world. Generaly, she is optimistic, and quite determined to accomplish her goals. She is brasha nd brazen and often throws herelf into half backed plans, because she has never had to be accountable much for her actions, given her father and her lack of importance in the scheme of succession. Her love for new things in modertaion, and her gullible nature will get her into much trouble, but somehow, she hopes for a new future in her new world, where her life will be given a new meaning.
