It was too bad really that Rook seemed worked up over looking for Charlie. Truth be told, it was Charlie who was looking for Rook. Chanting the words, im going to kill him im going to kill him im going to kill him, over and over in his mind while he stomped around.

Finally he saw the orange haired b*****d. Approaching him from behind he grabbed Rooks shoulder and dragged him quickly towards the closest open wall he could find. Flipping him around, Charlie forcefully pressed his right forearm against Rooks collar bone, pinning him to the wall. "I have a bone to pick with you." He hissed at the shorter man. "Why the HELL did you purchase me first before yourself?"

"Yes, That is EXACTLY what i expected you to do." He snarled back, pushing against Rook a little more. "I was elected to be a leader, YOU Elected me as leader. And as a leader it is my responsibility to take care of you all before myself." Even Charlie knew when his real name came out that it was a bad sign, it seemed their little Rook had a temper too. It honestly was taking all of his power to not punch Rook in his face, if he was truthful the only thing that stopped him was the ******** collar still around his neck.

A brief moment later it was almost as if all of the tension in his body vanished. He still was leaning against Rook, but the look of complete hatred was replaced with horror. "We don't know if we can save everyone, Rook. What would you have us do? Save our own skins? Run away with our tails between our legs?" He leaned down to press his forehead against the same arm that was still pinning rook, looking down. "You guys can always elect a new leader."

"Don't give me that horse s**t." He muttered, still staring down at the abysmal clean flooring of the casino and not appearing to be moving any time soon. "Pot calling the kettle black, Rook. You can't sit there and do the same thing YOU accused me of doing and think it's ok. Don't be a ******** hypocrite. You sacrificing yourself here for others is the same thing, you have no high ground here." Charlie still felt the urge to punch the boy, hard. He couldn't bring himself to do it.

"I think you doubt your ability to survive. If anything happened to us you would find a way, it is natural human instinct to survive. There is ALWAYS a out-clause. Sometimes we might not like the path, but damn if i will allow myself to walk over the dead bodies of people i care for."

When rook finally acted out, Charlie didnt put up much of a fight. Instead he stood there, face blank, and listened as Rook ranted back at him. Frankly he couldnt argue with his reasoning. Rook was rigjt, he would have given himself uo even if he had managed to earn enough for his own fee. Rook had a good grasp of his character, something that caused the crank a** to laugh. Even if it was more of a 'hah' than a true laugh. "you are stronger than you think. It's laughable you call ME the horse, because you are stubborn as a damn mule." Which was one of the things that charlie liked most about him. Rook was stubborn and annoying, but also fun loving and for the most part immune to Charlies own mood swings. Closing the distance between them he hoped he was reading the situation correctly, because he swung his arm so it was across the shoulders of Rooks. "I bought your fee. "

" wow i actually found something to shut you up? I shoulda tried being nicer sooner. "Snorting he shook his head. "Do you really think i'd let you buy my ticket out without getting you out too? C'mon what kinda loser do you think i am." Dont answer that, ok. He paused, pondering his next words carefully in his mind. Looking away, he shrugged his shoulders, still leaning on Rook. " you're not allowed to be left behind... "

He paused, feeling a sense of awkwardness creeping up.


"For the record, im still pissed at you."

"ONLY Five percent?" Yes, even Charlie knew he sounded snide at the comment. But hey, he was seriously offended! Moving his arm he instead reached behind Rook, grabbing his opposite waist and pulling him against him in a mock side-hug. "I think you are missing one Zero in your estimate, at the very least."

He ruffled his hair a moment with his free hand before he let go. "And yes, yes i did." Just because he had bought rook, didn't mean he wasn't pissed that Rook bought him first. Good try.

"You deserved it." Charlie chose to ignore Rooks delusional statement about his anger only reaching .05%.

Deciding this conversation went from awkward to even more awkward, Charlie poked at rook once more and nudged him with his hands on his back. "Go get that damn collar off already or i am going to start calling you Fido."
