Perth was once an incredibly vast industrial city. It churned out a lot of the products and raw materials that made Australia the money that it survived off of. However, on the opposite side of the continent, Perth fell early on in the wars against the A.I. Cores. The city has become an empty husk of its former glory, but there are miles upon miles of cityscape waiting to be explored, and countless pieces of lost technology and information within the buildings left behind. There are fewer A.I. Cores in the area than would be expected, as usually cities of this size have entered Danger Level 2 or greater, but there is a constant electrical field being emitted around the city due to faulty shielding equipment. It was once supposed to save the city from any sort of invasion, like the one it fell to, but instead it now makes it nothing more than a relatively safe exploration ground for new baiters.

Sarah walked quickly into the Portal Room, nervously telling them she wanted to get . She wondered what the ruins were like. She never went to them for obvious reasons. When the workers told her the portal was ready, she stepped onto the pod, feeling the familiar sensation as the portal started up. In a few seconds she opened her eyes to see a different location, a very nervous short blond haired woman with large round glasses and a lab coat smiling at her. Sarah blinked a bit in surprise before giving a small wave. The woman gasped. “Oh Gosh, I-I can't believe someone actually came. For some reason, a lot of people don't like looking for documents or parts of computers. By people I mean Baiters.” She said with a crooked smile then waved her over to her desk. Sarah glanced around, seeing piles of papers everywhere, as well as small metallic items here and there. They looked like they would possibly be inventions along with some personal items like magazines. There didn't seem to be very many other people there, though she could hear some people walking around outside the room.
“Now, our scouts found a building we haven't explored yet, but it seems to have held a large company. They couldn't fully look around it due to the fact they were getting close to the lock down time. That's when we lock down the building to keep any wondering AIs from entering our small building. Because of the building's size, it would take us days to fully look around. That's where you come in. We just need you to look around the building and collect any documents or intact computer parts that may hold some plans for inventions. Believe it or not, older inventions help us develop better inventions. Always good to look back and see what mistakes our ancestors have made.” The woman said quickly. Almost too quickly. She seemed to be about as nervous as Sarah was, which weirdly made Sarah relax a little. The woman turned around, handing Sarah a round object. Sarah looked it, seeing that it was a small computer it seemed. There was a map on it, a red dot blinking at the far left side, a green arrow pointing toward it. The woman moved Sarah's jacket and placed a small device just where her collar bone met her shoulder, pressing it till it started to blink blue then pulled the jacket over it where the light was hidden well under it. “That's a tracker, it'll show you where you are, and will let us know as well. The red dot is where the building is. We'll disable the tracker at the building when we're sure we won't need to explore it anymore, so no need to worry about bringing it back. Now computer parts wise, we need parts that look like this.” She said, holding up a small green rectangle that had other bits to it and a large squarish part. “These are RAM sticks and this a motherboard. Either one of these would be great, both even better. Intact of course.” The woman said before putting the computer parts down.
Sarah wasn't sure what to say, merely nodding. It seemed easy enough, find as many documents and computer parts as she could and come back. If she was careful, she might not run into anything on the way there and back. The woman went to her computer on the desk, typing a few things on it. Sarah continued to examine the device, seeing that now there was a blue dot and the green arrow was gone, but now there was an arrow right beside the blue dot, pointing toward the red one. “The tracker at the building will keep blinking until you're right on top of it. Whenever you want to return here, just hit the little button on the side, a yellow dot will show up. That's our building, you won't be able to get in during the lock down time, which is just at nine here, if you are outside after that, just duck into a building close by, they have small supplies that will help you survive through the night.” She said with a smile. Sarah nodded, keeping it in mind. “Well that's about it, I'll show you the way out so you can be on the way. Just grab anything that looks important.” The woman said, handing Sarah a backpack which she guessed was where she was suppose to put everything she found. She wondered how she could keep the computer parts from breaking inside of it. Maybe she'll figure that out when she got that far. After all, there could be nothing there.
Sarah followed the woman out of the small room, down a few hallways and to a door that said Exit over it. She gave the woman a small smile, waving a bit before opening the door. She poked her head out, meeting a sign that could only be describe as sad. She could only assume that it was once a wonderful city. Now it almost seemed like a skeleton of itself. While some building were perfectly intact, others looked like they wanted to just fall over and be done with it. Sarah stepped out, making sure to close the door firmly behind her before looking down at the tracking device. “Crap, I forgot how to ask how to tell if I'm going the right way or not.” She said to herself, before realizing that the arrow and dot had moved. She tilted her head, spinning a bit. 'Look who's a smart princess.' The Guard muttered. Sarah could only glare at the air before heading to what she thought was the direction to the building, hoping she would stay out of sight by keeping to the alleys.

Harbinger
Initiative/Turn 1
Surrounding it was the corpses of a few of those insignificant little whelps that dared to call themselves the dominate species on this planet. It kicked one with an unnecessary roughness, unable to even recognize the mess as human any longer. A smaller core came up behind it and asked what they were going to do next. Unfortunately, the Sadist was not feeling completely fulfilled just yet, and due to this fact its arm suddenly shot backwards into the chest of the Alpha Model that had joined it into combat. It pulled out the still pulsing item that was the things heart, and sneered at it as it stared back in horror.
As the core vanished into nothing, obviously heading back to a port to reform its body the Sadist grunted in dissatisfaction. It still wasn't enough. Sure, one could easily argue that Sadists never had enough of the suffering of others, but those people hardly ever lived very long. It sighed and set off to find something else to torture to death. If it didn't find at least one more human today was going to be awfully uneventful, and it will wind up shutting down for the night with a raging urge to murder.
About an hour later, it heard something. A small sound, normally to be ignored, except for the fact that this place was a ghost town, and that sounded like movement. It quickly silenced itself, and stealthily moved its way over to where it had heard the sound. Sure enough, there was another of those ridiculous creatures, shuffling about through the empty alleyways like the rat it was.
Disgusting.
The sight of the girl opened up the prospect of fun, however, and it decided it was going to have a lot of it. So, with that thought in mind, it pulled back behind the corner it was hiding behind, and scraped its claws down the wall slowly, sending a screeching sound out into the area, which managed to sound significantly louder due to the sheer lack of other sound.
It could not deny it was pleased with the results. She jumped like a little rabbit and took off as fast as her legs could take her away from the sound. The core simply couldn't believe its luck. It had gotten one of the scared little rats. How perfect! It quickly gave chase, making sure to stay just out of sight, and every time she started to slow down or took a turn it didn't want, it would utilize one of its many tools of battle to start it up again. It didn't last very long, just long enough for it to heard her into a darker alleyway, having left her basically no choice.
Rapidly it ascended the building next to the alleyway, having no desire to miss out on this opportunity. Once it was all the way up the roof top, it rushed over to the other side and hopped off, planting itself firmly between her and the other end of the alleyway. Upon landing, it slowly rose to its full height, its terrible face alight with the glow from inside its mouth. Both of its arms were behind its back, and the crossbow was not at the ready, but instead resting comfortably on its back for the moment.
"Good evening. I am Lupe, of the Algae." It said with a flourishing bow, its clawed hand coming forth to wrap around its waist. Meanwhile the unholy glow from its mouth really amplified his dark and menacing appearance, presenting him to be a truly terrifying sight. It had chosen its name from some random book that had happened to be on one of the people it had killed a while back. Said it was the name of someone or something that represented pain and suffering. "Now, let's see how loud you can scream." It said lifting its head up and looking back at her, a sneer twisting the face into an even uglier visage, if that was even possible.
Its voice was like scratching nails on a chalkboard, clearly everything about its existence was designed to terrify or cause revulsion. When it finished speaking it brought both of its arms to bare, both of them having blades of some sort attached to them. It wasted no time in dashing forward, bringing down the longer, single blade forward in a wide slash, using its extended reach to cover more area and hopefully land an early debilitating blow. They were easier to torture when they were damaged.

It seemed quiet at first, making Sarah feel a little more relaxed. There wasn't any movement she had seen so far, which meant that it might be a little more deserted than she had at first thought. She still kept to the alleys though, she didn't want to risk her luck. She peeked around corners before moving onto the next one, almost counting to twenty before moving on. The Guard was keeping quiet, so perhaps she was doing a good job. Or maybe she was being so stupid that he didn't have anything to say about it. Either one was honestly a possibility really.
Sarah started to turn to a corner, seeing that she was about three blocks away from the building. She smiled, but it quickly wiped away with a squeal as she heard a noise behind her. She snapped her head around, her eyes darting all over the area, not seeing anything. She took a step back, her heart rate rising quickly. Oh Dear, that wasn't good. That was not a good noise. She spun on her heel and began to speed walk. Her mind began to spin as she tried to think of what that was. What kind of AI made that noise? What if it wasn't an AI? Dear Lord, were there blood thirsty humans in this area? Were they going to grab by a trap, one that raised her into the air and she would smack her head off the nearest wall and be knocked out? Or be dragged through the roads and alleys toward their lair where she would pass out from being knocked around the trash cans and rubbish that was around? What would they do to her? Take pleasure in stabbing her with multiple sized knives in the much smaller blood vessels so she could bleed to quickly? Or would they completely drain her and drink her blood, cutting off her voice so she couldn't scream?
'Dear God woman, get some therapy.' The Guard called out in horror.
Sarah didn't say anything, she was too terrified. She speed up toward the building's direction, but she couldn't keep it straight. The sound would come from anywhere, she wondered if there was more than just one. She was about to damn near scream at the thing, though she knew it wouldn't do anything. What was it going to do? Tell her that it was having fun playing cat and mouse and to keep running? She glanced behind her, but came to a complete halt when she felt the ground shake a bit, turning in time before she nearly ran into a very demonic AI. She took a cautious step back as it bowed at her, seeming to introduce itself. She glanced around, unsure how to respond. She wondered if she should risk taking off her headphones, it's voice was very unpleasant, almost like that sound with the fork scrapping against a glass plate. She couldn't be sure if Lupe was it's actual name or if it was teasing her in some way.
She paled as she saw the blade that took up one of it's entire arm, the other being some kind of claw that looked like it came from that really hold movie with the dinosaurs, raptors might have been it. Thoughts of being stabbed repeatedly came rushing back into her head, almost as quickly as the AI came toward her. She quickly jumped to the left, nearly slamming into the wall. 'This space is too enclosed, try to lure him out of there before he gets you real good because he had you backed up against a dumpster like some kind of rapist.' The Guard said quickly to her.
Sarah swallowed the fearful gasp at the comment that threatened to come out of her mouth. Dear God, now that was definitely not an image she wanted in her head, but sadly it was. “Engage.....” Sarah whispered, barely hearing her own words, but thankfully her weapons did hear her. She fumbled a bit, grabbing her sword from her belt. Lure it out. She could do that... right? She pushed the button and heard the weapon take it's shape before lunging at the thing. Her chest burned from the fear that sat in it, but she couldn't calm herself, she blamed the alley. She first swung the sword at the AI's right arm, the one with the long blade, it made her the most unsettled. She then swung twice at it's chest, taking a few steps back, wondering if it'll follow suit and follow.

Oh how positively satisfying it was, to see the terror etched upon her face as it stretched it out as long as it could, dragging out every last drop of fear it could before it cast a light upon itself. There was only one thing better than terrifying a person out of their mind, and that was carving them out of their flesh, something it had every intention of doing here with this lovely little morsel of blood and bone.
As it landed in front of her, it could tell immediately it had very nearly caused her some white hairs. It probably could have stretched it out a little longer, but it was getting restless. It wanted to feel the rending of her skin from her bones, and it could wait no longer to achieve its goal. So, when it swung its whole arm across the width of the enclosed area, it was horribly disappointed to find that the attack didn't land. She had managed to dodge its attack, yes she almost hit the wall, but she avoided any and all real damage. This caused it to get angry.
How dare this walking pile of filth avoid being gutted by its blade?!
As it rushed forward to get back inside its range, she started a return assault, something that also caught it completely off guard. She was terrified not but one moment ago, and now here she was attacking it with a weapon that seemed to appear out of nowhere! Worse yet, she was good! Her first attack came in like lightening, cleaving its long blade arm clean in two with very little effort, her weapon very clearly of high quality.
It roared in rage and stepped closer, but this turned out to be a massive mistake as she then carved out a long slash right in the center of its chest. White hot flames and black smoke poured from the wounded chest piece in large quantities. Within moments the front portion of its body was red hot, even starting to warp in certain places, the damage was quite extensive, but it also added more to the monster like appearance the creature was going for.
"You little wretch!" It growled out at her, taking a menacing step closer. "You stand before the god of pain! I will show you a world of torment you couldn't imagine even in your darkest of nightmares!" It bellowed out before forcing the chest bit closed with its bare claw. It wasn't exactly fixed, but it was not as blindingly bright as it had been but a moment before, though it still cast shadows one might see in a horror story.
Once it was finished with that, it shot forward, its only remaining arm pulled back, scratching along the nearby wall, causing sparks to shoot from the tips of each of the claws as they did so. As it got into range, it dragged its arm forward, causing a horrible screeching sound before all of the knife like fingers swiped right for her face, attempting to blind her with this attack. Someone who cannot see is very easy to carve up.

Sarah was shocked at her blade cut off the things arm, surprised that she was able to even do such a thing. She watched as it landed loudly onto the ground, a few clinks of metal falling onto the ground soon after it. She hadn't stopped there, having sliced through it's chest, feeling a blast of heat from the fire inside it. She had to squint her eyes against the light of the flames that seemed to almost breath out of it. She was glad to finally step back from it, further away from the heat. She heard it call out to her, making her shiver from the memory what Acel had said when he had his transformation. The Angel of Despair, that was what he said. Now this thing was actually calling himself a god. She wasn't sure how she should take in all this. She never encountered people or things like this. When the light of the fire finally went down, Sarah saw the damage it had caused the thing. It's chest now warped from the heat that had touched it, the fix the AI had tried didn't seem to help it at all. It almost looked as if it made it look worse. The light from it's chest casting large shadows that kept flickering and moving like the flames inside.
'Woo, nice damage Princess. Didn't think you had it in you.' The Guard said with a laugh of amazement.
Sarah didn't really have time to respond as she heard the screeching of it's claws against the walls. She shivered at the sound, still feeling the fear that had spread through her when she first heard it. She watched as the sparks bounced around, watching the AI's claw as it crawled along the wall and closer to her. She readied herself, ducking down as the claw swung through the air, aiming for her head. She let a breath of relief when it missed her completely. Though the air that followed that shifted her hair a bit quickly took the relief away. She didn't waste time, swinging her sword toward it's right leg, aiming for the knee. This fight didn't bother her, she realized that. Perhaps because there wasn't blood splashing all over the place. This thing seemed to only have fire inside, of which she now knew to keep her distance if she wanted to cut at it's chest again. She quickly stood up straight, her sword coming up on the Harbringer's hand, hoping to get rid of all it's weapons. Perhaps it'll give up if it had nothing to cause pain with. That was a hopeful thought. 'Hopeful, but not likely Princess. He's gone just a little bit crazy. Think he's been reading a lot of play books. If he bursts into song, you better not join him.' The Guard warned her.
Sarah grimaced at the idea, not sure she wanted to hear this thing sing. She rose her sword and aimed downward, toward it's other leg, once against at it's knee. If not one, then perhaps the other.

How was this happening! This waste of matter was giving it such a hard time! Every other human worm it had come across to this point had been felled by its blades! Easily! Ripped asunder by the cleaving nature of its very hands! Scores of bodies left bloodied and broken in its wake! It was Lupe! The god of pain and suffering! None could stand before it! Yet this mere monkey had managed to damage it to such an incredible extent. It was maddening. More than maddening, it was unacceptable!
It would cleave her head from her body! It would do it with glee!
As its claws dragged against the wall it imagined the feeling of its arm biting into her neck, the blood that would coat the whole area, the screams that would no doubt tear their way out of her body due to its loving touch. It could almost feel it so intensely, it smirked a demonic smirk, its eyes flaring up in excitement.
Then the world turned right on its head.
The mud dweller dodged the attack, easily it appeared. It couldn't believe its eyes, which were now wide with shock, its disturbing jaw forming a perfect 'o' shape, serrated though it may have been. Its eyes watched every movement, as she struck out towards its leg. The sound of metal rending metal rang out as that limb was removed from the Harbinger's body. Before it could react to the attack, or even move at all, she swiftly removed its other arm at the wrist, its multi-bladed appendage falling to the ground with a noisy clatter.
Or was it just suffering from shock?
Either way, the assault was not finished. As it was stumbling backwards from the removal of its leg, her weapon flashed forward another time, and cleanly cut through its last leg, removing every single one of its limbs. It couldn't believe it. It literally could not wrap its mind around this. Just a few moments ago this little whelp of a human being was terrified of the very sight of it, and now the Harbinger was falling towards the ground, almost in slow motion, its dying mind taking in every single detail.
It attempted one final attack, by firing off its crossbow, however without any way, what so ever, to aim it, the attack just went straight up just as it thudded to the ground heavily. It lay there for a moment, the flames from its chest, once white hot, flickering a dying blue color, which in turn caused the metal on its body to slowly lose most of the red color, turning into an interesting silver shade. "H-how? I am a god... None should... Be able to kill me... I am a god..." It gasped out, its breathing coming in shorter and shorter gasps. "I am the go-" Just before it could finish that last sentence, the bolt it fired off came down, and planted itself firmly in the center of the Harbinger's forehead, sending it finally into the abyss of death.

She felt every hit as it came down onto the AI. She felt her stomach drop when she saw the crossbow move to aim, but it only shot into the air as the Harbringer fell to the ground in defeat. It was still continuing it's delusion of being some kind of god. Sarah watched as the Harbringer slowly died, almost feeling sorry for it. Almost. Then she remembered that the darn thing intentionally scared the wits out of her for at least three blocks. She made the sword return to it's block form and stuck it back in her belt. She looked at the device she had been holding during the whole fight, seeing that it was thankfully undamaged and still blinking.
'Damn, if only the guys saw that. They wouldn't try to mess with you anymore. Like that punk guy, Kawaguchi wasn't it?' The Guard asked as it seemed to look down at the Harbringer through her eyes as well.
She couldn't help but smile. “Yea, that's his last name anyways. I don't know his first name.” She said as she turned away from the broken AI and continued on her way to the building.
'Oh that's right, the Asians go by last name basis until they actually like the person.' The Guard said, surprising Sarah that he actually knew that but she nodded to confirm what he said. 'Well I guess that's one way you can figure out if he likes you or not.' the Guard continued with a snicker.
Sarah thought about it and couldn't deny it, that would be a way to tell if he liked her or not. But who knew, he could have her call him by his first name when he was tired of hearing her trying to actually pronounce his last name correctly. She grimaced, wondering just how well that would go. She would no doubt butcher it like her first attempts to speak Chinese.
Sarah reached the building, seeing that she was making good time, only being noon now. She had about nine hours to search for anything in the building and head back. That was easy enough. She looked up at the building, almost seeing it's once glory. Now it was completely bare the walls seemed to had been made of glass but now there was hardly any glass left. Sarah slowly walked up to it's broken glass door, sliding inside of it instead of opening it in fear it would make too much noise and draw anything in listening distance to it. The inside didn't look any better. Things were on their sides, papers everywhere. Sarah stepped carefully, seeing that there were holes in the floors, going where she hoped was the basement, but she didn't want to risk the chance.
Sarah made her way through the building, peaking around corners for any sign of an AI before continuing down the halls and looking inside rooms. Most of the computers looked like they were torn apart already. By what, she couldn't say. She checked each one, not finding an intact motherboard for a while. It took her until the second floor to actually find even one. She found a few documents, collecting a few the Guard thought might be what the scientist might have wanted. She had no idea, but the Guard seemed confident in his choices. She did notice that this place had some kind of logo. It was an apple with a bite out of it. She wondered what it meant but only shrugged her shoulders as she put them gently into the backpack.
Sarah kept an eye on the time, taking her time at first but as time seemed to go by faster, she started to speed up her process. She wasn't even at the top of the floor yet. She had gone through maybe four out of the ten floors this place had. She decided she should head to the top, gather what she could and then start back to the blond woman and give her her findings, hoping it'll be enough. She went to the ninth floor and began her search again, the rooms on this floor being the same as below, but there were a lot more papers up here, but the filing cabinets were actually locked in these rooms. Sarah tried wiggling some of them, but didn't get anywhere. She huffed, looking at the cabinet's lock. She knew nothing about opening locks properly. 'Hold on.' The Guard said, making Sarah raise an eyebrow as she did as he said, waiting for him.
'Okay, find two paperclips first.'
“What... are you going to teach me how to pick a lock?” She asked in disbelief.
'Well yea, can't leave anything behind and this is an easy lock, it's old and requires just a key, not those fingerprint scanners you all seem to like.'
Sarah sighed, knowing it was right. She glanced around, shifing papers around until she found two paperclips that had seen better days, but there were any better ones. 'Now straighten out the end part of both of them, keep on slightly angled up, the other, completely straighten out and the hook the end part.' He instructed her. Sarah did as he said, allowing him to tell if she needed to bend it back a bit or not. Hooking the paperclip wasn't easy, since it tried to dig into her thumb a bit. 'Now put the hooked one into the lock, keep it at the bottom of the lock and turn it slightly to the side it's suppose to unlock, usually counterclockwise, so turn it to the right a bit, then slide the straight one in and slide it through one bit at a time and keep trying to turn it. The pins will eventually catch, don't get frustrated, just keep trying to turn it.'
Sarah wasn't so sure but she did as it said, it took her about three minutes, trying to ignore the Guard as it told her to stay calm, it'll happen, a twelve year old could do it. She hated to know why a twelve year old boy needed to learn how to pick a lock honestly. But eventually the lock turned completely around, Sarah surprised that it had worked. She opened the drawer, letting a sound of distress as she saw that it was completely empty.
'Well... that was anti-climatic.' The Guard said in the same disappointment.
Sarah shook her head, slamming the drawer closed in irritation, forgetting she had been trying to keep quiet the entire time she was inside. She looked at the two paperclips and stuffed them in her pocket. She learned how to do it, why not keep practicing at it? It obviously worked. She headed to the final floor, finding nothing of great notice. She decided her searching was done, surely they would find enough in the small bit she had found. She walked down the steps and headed out the door, seeing that she had about three hours to get back to the scientist before they do their shut down.

Quazzar
Initiative
"Bum bump, ba dum, bum bump, ba dum, bum bump.." Quietly sang the found legged creature as it hopped from roof top to roof top, constantly stopping behind each and every location that could be considered cover, its body shifting as needed to keep itself hidden behind it. If one could hear it, they would hear a distinctly feminine tone to the A.I.'s voice, but it was hard to actually tell with how quiet it was trying to be.
What was it doing? Nothing special. It was simply moving about, enjoying the day. The sun was out, the clouds were offering moderate to good coverage, and there wasn't that much going on that the Quazzar needed to worry about. All in all, it was what one could consider a good day.
Suddenly it heard the sounds of a fight going on nearby, and perked up. It felt excited! It was about to get the chance to spy on a real fight! "Bah na na! Bah na na!" It continued with the odd song it was singing, as it picked up the pace to get to the area where the sounds were coming from, swiftly moving from cover to cover, making sure to stay in the shadows provided by the overcast.
Within minutes the A.I. was on a nearby roof overlooking the end of a fight between that monstrous Harbinger, whom had a reputation for having an unyielding level of cruelty to both human and other A.I.s alike, and some young looking girl. Was she a Baiter? Seemed like it, she had a weapon and was going toe to toe with that evil b*****d. Better yet, she seemed to be winning. It was a little surprising, that Harbinger was on some kind of power trip, walking around calling itself a god.
Apparently, it was very wrong.
The girl took the Harbinger apart like she had its design in mind, and knew all its weak points. The Quzzar could only watch in sheer awe as the girl destroyed the villain, and then absorbed its power. Was that what it was like to be powerful? To take down a self-proclaimed god with such ease? The Quazzar had to admit to a sense of unease at the thought. What did it cost to be that strong?
The Quazzar tilted its head to the side as the girl set off on her way, apparently off to her original goal. The A.I. took a moment before deciding to follow her. It silenced its theme song, and made sure to be as quiet as possible, having no desire to give away its position. As it was following her, it was having an internal debate with itself. On the one hand, spies were awesome and fun to be. On the other hand, assassins were always cooler.
The idea of being an assassin appealed to the Quazzar, and with that it made the decision. It would attempt to kill this little lass from the shadows, but it also had to wait for the perfect moment. So it waited, quietly, following a few buildings away just to be safe, constantly hopping into cover should it ever feel like she was about to glance up at it.
A few hours later, one could find the A.I. on the roof of a building near to the one that she entered, entertaining itself by fighting imaginary enemies, itself being an amazing assassin that just couldn't be beaten! A small amount of movement caught the creature's eye, which immediately cause it to stop moving around and look in the direction of the movement.
At last!
The girl had left the building! It was finally time to enact her brilliant plan! The Quazzar moved to the edge of the building, and waited until her back was turned. The second that came around, the A.I. leaped off the roof! Except, its foot caught the edge of the roof, sending it toppling to the ground below with a grunt of pain. It rose to its feet, a little wobbly but for the most part unharmed. It cursed itself, quite loudly, berating itself for the very uncool entrance, revealing itself to sound like a female. A young, very enthusiastic one at that.
When she finally gathered her wits she turned her body towards her soon to be opponent. "Prepare yourself! For I am your opponent now! I will win at any cost!" She sounded like she was trying too hard to be a character from a comic book or something, bad lines and all, but that didn't make her any less of a potential threat.

Turn 1
Sarah walked down the steps of the building, hitting the button on the device so that it would show her the way back. She smiled when it in fact did change, pointing at the opposite direction she had been heading. Glad to see that it was actually working, she had begun to walk down the street, only to quickly turn around when she heard something fall behind her. She blinked at the Quazzar as it downgraded itself for a lame entrance, almost making Sarah a bit. She also noted that it had a female voice. That was certainly different. She was use to male voices from the AIs, she didn't think they ever went with female personalities.
Sarah tilted her head at the Quazzar's demand for a fight, claiming to be her next opponent. Were there others watching that wanted to fight her, or did this one just see her fight with the Harbringer? Sarah couldn't be sure, but knew she wouldn't be able to walk away. Despite the terrible entrance, it seemed determined to fight her. Sarah shrugged off the backpack and set it aside gently, not wanting to damage the computer parts. She pulled on her gloves and grabbed the throwing knives, pressing the button of two of them so they would form into their weapon shapes.
She took a deep breath, letting it out before lunging into battle. Throwing one of the knives, she aimed for the bug's side, hoping to cut it there she didn't give the knife time to land, quickly snapping her fingers, sending the signal for it to come back. Sure enough it looped back in mid-air, coming again toward the Quazzar as Sarah adjusted her hand so it would aim for one of it's legs this time, catching it skillfully when it came back to her.

Quazzar
Turn 1
100 - ( 80 - 80 =) 1 = 99% Defense chance.
The Quazzar noticed her opponent getting ready to fling her weapons, and swiftly set off to find a place to hide, quickly pressing herself up against a wall, splayed out completely. Now, this sounded like a wonderful plan, except for the fact that the Quazzar made a terrible mistake, it hid itself against a wall that was easy to see, and had two wooden beams on either side pointing right down at it. On top of that, she started humming her theme song again, which certainly made it all the harder for this 'hiding' spot to work.
Were it not for sheer luck being on the Quazzar's side, she would have been hit by one, if not both of those attacks, but luck had been on her side and they only narrowly missed, and once she finally finished dodging she flipped away from the area she had been hiding, and held herself proudly, puffing up her chest. "Mission accomplished." She said, like she had done something of note.
Shortly after feeling proud of making herself into a stand still target, she shot off as fast as her stubby looking legs could carry her, each foot fall causing a soft thud like she was trying extra hard to not make her presence known. Why was anybodies guess. Once she was at an acceptable distance, a powerful thrust of her legs sent hr flying into the air, flipping over a few times, before belching forth a glob of her acidic like attack, attempting to at least hit her weapons, trying to remove some from her person. One less of those throwing daggers meant less attacks, right? Right.
As she neared the ground she tucked herself in tight, and as she came into contact with the ground, she rolled along the ground, not losing too much the momentum. As she neared a building, she quickly jerked herself into a jump, and land on the side of it, her body crushing down slightly due to the inertia, but she quickly pulled herself back into a standing position, staring at her opponent with the closest thing to a grin on her face that she could possibly have. "You're just too slow."

Sarah watched as the Quazzar dodged the attacks in the most oddest way. She was actually humming some kind of song to itself. It was like this thing was trying so hard to be this awesome hero like she had seen in some of the shows her nieces and nephews watched. She could only shake her head as her attacks missed, not even bothered by it and watched it do some kind of pose.
She dodged the Quazzar's attack, watching with a smile as it did these difficult and unnecessary flips as it did the attack. When it landed and said that she was too slow for it, giving some kind of grin, Sarah had snapped. She began to laugh. It wasn't a 'Are you kidding' laugh. No this was a laugh of someone purely entertained. A laugh Sarah hadn't had in a very long while. Not even Jenny, her best friend, could make her laugh like this anymore. And it made Sarah laugh even harder, thinking that it had to be this AI that had her laughing like an idiot in the middle of a fight.
'Oh great, you broke her.' The guard said in her mind, not caring if the Quazzar did hear it or not. It was more concerned to the fact that his timid master was now laughing at an enemy's face.
Sarah continued to laugh, thinking the Guard wasn't helping her calm down. It took her a second to finally get a grip and smile at the Quazzar. “Ooo, that felt great. Sorry for laughing, but you're just so.... silly. If it wasn't for the fact you were a creepy bug, I'd almost say you were cute. Let's continue.” She said, with a smile that could only be described as a warm one. An odd smile for a fight, but Sarah couldn't help it. She felt great.
Sarah took two knives this time and threw them at the Quazzar, missing intentionally, but she snapped her fingers, homing the knives back home, hoping to hit the Quazzar from behind instead as they came flying back to her hands.

The Quazzar's eyes widened, the light blue bulbous orbs staring in what seemed to be incredulity at the sight before her. The person she was fighting just started laughing! This was followed by the sound of her A.I. mentioning that she was broken or something. At first the Quazzar didn't know what to do with that. Should it be angry? Should it be offended? Should it laugh right along too? It had never been presented with this scenario before, and none of the books ever mentioned the evil villain busting a gut like they were at a comedy show. Okay, maybe one, but he was the exception not the rule.
Plus, she wasn't even wearing a purple suit!
This caused a great deal of confusion in the mind of the Quazzar, who tilted her head as she stared at the girl she found herself in combat with. What made it all the worse was when the girl started talking, as if thanking her for the laugh. Wait... A creepy bug?! She wasn't creepy! She was cute! This caused a sort of pout to cross the face of the bug-like creature. "Yeah well, you'd be pretty if you weren't a bipedal evil-doer!" She said, in a rather awful attempt at banter, clearly showing she was affected by that statement.
As the attacks came flying at her she lifted what eyebrow she had, as they whipped past her position, missing entirely. This presented her with another opportunity, a chance to redeem her poor attempts at witty banter. "You couldn't hit the broad side of a-" Before she could finish that statement, something warned her, in the back of her mind causing her to dive out of the way. It turned out that apparently the lady she was fighting had the ability to control her weaponry with her hands. When she came to a stop, she glared over at the Baiter she was fighting. That was just not fair. "Hey Magic chick!" She called out, drawing attention to herself.
"You missed! WhoopWhoopWhoopWhoopWhoopWhoop!" She called out as she scuttled sideways into a nearby alleyway, removing herself from sight. Swiftly she raced out the other end of it though, not wanting to be caught in an alleyway with that girl and her magic weapons... Or her magic hands. She came to a skidding halt on the street opposite the entrance to the alleyway, and turned around to wait for the Baiter to follow suit.
Once the Baiter was in view, hopefully from down the Alley, the Quazzar would fire a glob of her rather nasty acid right down the way like a pitcher throwing a fast ball. She hoped that this would be how it worked out, but battle rarely worked out the way you planned. So, if somehow Sarah came from a different direction, the Quazzar had back up plans. If she came from above, the Quazzar would spit acid at where she would land, forcing her to land in the caustic goo. If she came from the ground, but not the alleyway, she would charge forward, and once she gained enough speed, she would curl into that ball and attempt to ram right into the Baiter.

Sarah blinked a few times at being called an evil doer. She tried to keep from laughing again, wondering what this bug had been reading or watching, perhaps both. She couldn't tell, but obviously this bug was really into it's own little world. She wondered what gave it the relaxation to just make anything up while it was at war with the humans. Obviously it had been here for a long while. She could see that possible, remembering that the scientist had said not many people liked doing retrieving missions. Sarah wondered what other AIs were here. There was the Harbringer and he seems like he watched a lot of villainous movies. She wondered what other kinds of there were. There certainly villains and heroes.
Sarah watched as the knives missed the Quazzar as she had planned. She couldn't help the smile when the Quazzar had begun to start insulting her throwing skills. It was cut off quickly when it realized what she was doing. Sadly her attacks missed the thing again. This fight was going to last much longer than with the first AI. Sarah caught the knives easily, looking at the Quazzar when it called out magic chick. It must have meant her. Though it suddenly ran off into the alley close by, making this weird noise as it did. She sighed, crossing her arms as she waited for the antics to begin like before.
Sarah raised an eyebrow when a few minutes seemed to pass without a word or action. What was the thing doing? “You don't think it got stuck do you?” She asked the Guard, wondering if it knew what it was doing.
'Most likely. All those silly antics, I wouldn't be surprised if it had killed itself. Are all these AIs in the area just flat out crazy or what? Glad I wasn't from around here.”
“Where are you from?” Sarah asked out of curiosity as she begun to walk toward the alley to see if the thing had in fact killed itself.
'Uhhh..... huh can't remember, been too long' The Guard said after a while, making Sarah shake her head with a smile as she peeked into the alleyway, only to jerk her head back when she saw a wad of it's spit coming toward her. 'Ah, a poor attempt at a sneak attack.' The guard said when Sarah dodged the thing so easily.
Sarah shook her head, stepping completely into the entrance of the alley, lifting her hand the held both knives and threw them at the Quazzar, watching as they soared through the air with a small whistling as they traveled toward the Quazzar.

Her target was supposed to pop down the alleyway, in a dramatic chase, obviously. Instead, she appeared to have run off, leaving their epic battle without an amazing climax. How rude. She would just have to hunt her down then, good thing the Quazzar believed itself to be a super spy!
Wait! Was that movement? She quickly focused on the real world when she spotted the girls head popping around the corner, causing her to immediately launch her assault. The blasted villain dodged the glob with unfortunate ease. The Baiter then launched those blasted magic weapons at her again, with insane levels of accuracy. The first caused her to dodge in a specific way, which left her in the path of the other. The Quazzar only barely managed to dodge it, a small wound opening up on her leg from where the blade nicked her. It wouldn't be a hindrance at all, it was just annoying in that it happened.
This girl was good. A fact she did not want to admit too.
The Quazzar had a devious idea! She was great at dodging these direct attacks, but what about one she wouldn't know was a direct attack? Immediately the Quazzar spat several acid globs at the female Baiter's position, intentionally not trying to hit her, only attempting to push her out of the alley and towards the next one. Where upon reaching, she would find the Quazzar there ready to continue this process, spitting globs at her to push her down the street. After they past a few alleys, the Quazzar decided to finally enact her plan.
She sprayed a few small globs of acid towards the other woman's position, but instead of trying to push her forward, she was trying to stop her in her tracks. The reason for this choice was the second the Baiter stopped moving, she would fire a large glob of poison right at her, aiming to take out at least one of her legs with the attack.
