Another hour, another shift down in the security room. The woman she was paired with looked particularly stern faced; Taysia withdrew automatically as they took their places and watched the entrance.
The first person to come looked familiar...But then again, the last time she had done so, it had been a faker. Hrm. She decided to go with her gut anyway.

An umbrella was produced, so maybe her hunch was right. After inspecting it, the officer seemed to accept its legitimacy.

The next one to approach was an older woman. Scowling, she produced her keycard without hesitation.

But whether it was foggy memory or an intruder caught, the salute given had expired a week ago. She was sent on her way with a stream of curses.
