 OOC GAME REWARDS: - Winning hands (winning PLAYER) of each game get 25 casino coins! - Losing players (ALL OTHER PLAYERS IN THE GAME) get -5 casino coins! If you have LESS than 5 casino coins you CANNOT play a game of poker! DIFFICULTY: gaia_star gaia_star gaia_star RULES OF THIS GAME: [ Step 1]:- You must find a minimum of TWO other players to enter the poker table with you. If you cannot find someone else put a [ OPEN ] at the top of your post. This means you are open for inviting other players. You can have up to 5 people in a poker game thread, if you wish. All players may now come in, and roll in whatever order they wish, you really don't have to wait for players to get your rolls in! Label your thread [ POKER RP] (PLAYERS HERE). You can play cross faction, obviously! Remember MINIMUM 3 players MAX 5 players! The player who made the thread is responsible for closing it when finished. [ Step 2]: All players must now roll 5d12 and make their FIRST POST in that thread. This equals the CARDS they have on their hands where 1= Ace, 11 = Jack, 12 = Queen. There are no kings. Edit your OOC accordingly with your hand. Make a post regarding your hand/entering the thread/ etc. [ Step 3]: Look at your hand combination. You may now choose to DISCARD one card from your hand you do not like. Select which number you want to discard (from your rolls), and then in a second post, roll 1d12 again. This is your new card. Edit your OOC HAND accordingly, and write a small post of your character. This phase is optional. [ Step 4]: Look at your hand combination. You may now choose to DISCARD ANOTHER card from your hand you do not like. Select which number you want to discard (from your rolls), and then in your third post, roll 1d12 again. This is your new card. Edit your OOC accordingly, and write a small post of your character. This phase is optional, and your LAST chance to swap cards. [ Step 4b]: If you somehow have "cash" in your minis inventory, now is the chance to use it! Make a post, and RP that you are using your cash to BRIBE the dealer. Immediately send the cash item to Junkyard. This item WILL be removed from your inventory. When you have done so (don't worry about waiting for confirmation, just do NOT use this item anywhere else or you will be removed from the event), replace any card in your hand with a card of your choice. For example, if your current hand is 1, 2 , 2, 4, 5, with your bribe, you may now change it to 1, 2 3, 4, 5. Proceed to the next step when done. This step is only for CASH people only (if you own this item on the site). [ Step 5]: You are done swapping cards! This is now your FINAL HAND. We're going to simplify the rules here for Poker so it isn't a big nightmare to complete. Look at the list below: Select a combination that is APPROPRIATE to your hand. For example, if you have 2, 2, 5, 6, 7, your highest is a pair. If you got 2 3 4 5 6, your highest is a straight. etc etc. Use the form below to submit your final hand and rp out your post. [ Step 6]: When ALL PLAYERS have submitted their hand, simply look at this chart again to see who has the highest combo. If there are two "tied" values, simply look at who has the higher card numbers. That person is the WINNER. If you are the WINNER of the thread, you get 25 casino points. Everyone else has to subtract 5 as penalty. Go ahead and edit your ooc for casino points accordingly.
If players are caught not subtracting points, they will be disqualified from any future poker games! If players do NOT respond in a timely manner despite posting one hand, they will be considered no longer part of the game (-5 penalty for "losing"). The wait period for a timely tag should be 12 hours before moving onwards. You may play multiple poker games at once.

Whelp, blackjack was a complete bust. Kammy made a parting glare at the table and moved on to play something else, having spent at least a hour there and had nothing to show for her efforts. Actually, she had less to show for it. With only a few coins left she wasn't sure what else to do...Oh hey, there was poker, but she needed a few people to play...
Scanning the crowds, she saw Corey and Harper were nearby, so she approached them.
"I challenge you to a duel!" She waved her hands dramatically, then dragged them both to a dealer table,

Harper had a few coins, it wasn’t enough to buy anyone yet and her luck at the blackjack table was failing more than when she had started. Rubbing her face she didn’t know what to do, so far she had only been selfish enough to save herself and it wasn’t right. Groaning she started to make her way to the bar only to find herself swept up by Kammy and dragged off to a poker table.
“Ok I’ll duel you.” Signaling for the dealer to deal her in as Harper tried to not look at Corey.

"I didn't bring my javelin." Corey lamented playfully as Kammy challenged her to a duel. Why not play some poker, she thought, redirecting herself to the table and taking a seat beside Harper, who was doing an awfully good job at not looking at her. It was fine. That was fine. She understood.

The girl was beaming when the two others agreed to play with her, and she gleefully swapped a car out of her hand for another.
Corey's comment just made her poke her tongue out playfully. "You're lucky I didn't bring my net either."
She noticed the two weren't making eye contact. Huh, that was odd, was something going on between them?

Harper swapped out her card for another not entirely sure what she was doing. Blackjack was easy count to 21, poker made her try to remember what card orders did what. She wanted to look at Corey but, she kept her head down staring at her cards.
She thought about the other two, what they would bring to a duel. “You know what I don’t think I would have brought any weapons to start with.”

"It's always good to bring weapons in the Apocalypse. They give you some good buffs, especially if they protect against elemental damage." She swapped out her two for..another two. "Like umbrellas. Protection against water."

She caved in, giving Corey a concerned look when she said she should have brought a weapon along. “Why… do you not have one?”

“I just have better in faith in my fighting skills than wielding a weapon for the most part.” She took a lot of kickboxing and various martial art classes, not to say she completed every course.
