Shaun had resisted long enough. Even though currency wasn't worth a s**t in the apocalypse. What did Shaun care? Shaun had been trained to jump at shinies and take it – even if they were cheaply shiny, they were at least worth a little. So, the shining lights lured the young thief in like the mythological siren... he just hoped it wasn't to the rocks.
He entered in, and was surprised to be treated so... well! “Thanks!” he said, running the coins through his hands. They weren't valuable, but... He looked over the customers. Maybe they were? Maybe they had something?

Character's name: Shaun Sawyer Character's faction: Prison Character's Rank: Recruit Character's journal link:Link Character's survival stats: View BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTER Pale white skin with freckles, pale blonde hair and blue eyes – Shaun looks like a young, handsome, somewhat washed out young man. His face was rounder in his childhood, and elongated with puberty, but he still looks like the imp that he is and was, and his body is lean but muscular and very flexible. He has a cute teddy bear (or is it a monkey?) backpack that he uses to carry stuff in. Its really cute.
Shaun is mischevious, easygoing, and very friendly but he's also a little reckless by nature, especially when showing off his acrobatics. He needs people and does not do well alone, so he makes a great teammate and will be as helpful as possible, but ultimately he is out for himself.

Your character refuses to play, for a variety of reasons. They just stand there. Make a new post in your [ Casino solo ] thread and RP out why your character refused. When you are done, continue reading the post below!
Make sure in this post you include your usual OOC segment [ AND LOG THE AMOUNT OF CASINO COINS YOU HAVE ]. You should have a base of 50 to start!
Shaun loitered around, watching the other people play. His fingers twitched – they never forgot, really. He'd been at this 'game' since he'd been a small child – it was less about luck than the games these people were playing, and usually more profitable. And more fun. Shaun wasn't sure how they could enjoy getting fleeced out of their goods and fake money. He watched them play, to see if he could figure it out, but he couldn't. It was, however, fascinating to watch, and Shaun had almost figured out some kind of pattern... no pockets to pick, though. Nobody had anything, certainly not in their pockets and... honestly... Shaun's pockets... well, his teddy bear backpack... were actually full, for once. Fairly full.

Shaun watched the games for a long time until his eyes began to blur. He squinted at the bright lights and rubbed his eyes...
Huh.
He was burning up.
He'd gotten a little bit of... well... all right, he'd had a little bit of alcohol. Why not? He was a grown up now, technically, and the legal age could go ******** itself with the apocalypse and all, and he'd wanted to try it.
But only a little, and he had a bunch of water since... He drank a little more, letting the coolness wash down his throat. His hands itched – literally itched now.
He started to feel wobbly, and he made his way to a seat. Maybe he couldn;t hold his liquor...
His limbs felt heavy, and he closed his eyes...
“Welcome to the tenth Annual Casino Games!”
What the actual hell was this?
Shaun listened to her explanation, he wasn't sure what he wasn't hearing, but he was sure there was a lot that was... not being said. This was bad.
“Uh, I have a question.” he said, but was immediately shut down. What did they mean by 'dinner fundraiser'? What the hell was this game? What was their ******** problem? Why was he here?
But apparently he couldn't ask stupid questions like that. He had to do another weird thing, and they were asking the questions.
He gave the young man a smile. Poor kid. They were pretty close in age, and he felt... obligated to help him out. “Him?” he said, and he immediately regretted it.
Shaun stared at the boy in disbelief. Dead. The boy was dead. Just like that, the boy was dead. And the woman...
Well...
Now she was dead.
Shaun was glad that he had a strong bladder, and a strong will. He was definitely going to cry about this later...
If there was a later.
“Welp.” said the announcer, “Thats that, then. Onwards!”
Blankly following along, Shaun was led out of the room...
