The sky was erupting, as various levels of booms echoed across the sky, some occupied with the sound of fizzling. Fireworks someone said as Lorcan was stretched out across the grass staring up at the clouded sky. For months he had wanted to spend a night outside looking at the stars again, ironic that he finally got out of his cell only to be stuck staring at the bleak gray skies above. A few of the other prisoners started to gather heading out to the source of the noise. Getting to his feet he figured he probably should do the same. So far he had been nothing more than a louse around the prison lounging and not really pulling his end of the weight.

They walked, they walked for a while as Lorcan groaned about his feet, when they finally stopped he found them standing outside the disturbing looking building he had ever seen. Lights all different colors were flashing, half of them were not even the same rhythm as the others. It was like a reindeer puked but instead of just Christmas it was every holiday in between. The only redeeming quality it had was the words Delta Casino.

Casino was exactly up his sort of alley to have fun in.

The smell of smoke hit him as he walked through the doors, he would have begged for one if it wasn’t for the fact he could just lift them off of some unsuspecting person. Cigarettes that was something that was hard to get in prison, if you wanted them you had to make friends and place nice but that was not something Lorcan was good at. He was only good at playing nice if it meant he got a little more fun than just smoking out of the deal. Everyone seemed to be having their own sorts of fun, drinks were being politely offered by various wait staff and Lorcan gingerly picked one up and downed it before heading to a table.

Blackjack, he was always so fond of the name it sounded more like some sort of dirty drink then a card playing game. He took his seat and nodded to the dealer to lie out his cards. They were low, Lorcan sneered at them, to think he had gotten his far and he still had no luck when it come to dealing with cards. Well, he wasn’t going to sit around and muse over it, instead he left the table and headed towards the bar, keeping his eye out for something pretty to fuss over.

A few more drinks, the occasional cigarette, and Lorcan was feeling pretty happy with himself as he sat down on an unoccupied stool at the bar. There was another man there, great lips, fit, even has a lovely set of eyes above his chiseled cheekbones that he tried to strike up a conversation with, but he was a p***k and easily left as soon as the bartender gave him his drinks. Not that it mattered to Lorcan, instead he started to chat to the bartender, as he started to feel sleepy, like the whole world around him was sort of fading in to darkness.

Last than he remembered was a drink falling to the floor and his head hitting the bar.

It was dark, as he opened his eyes, his head groggy from whatever drugs were in the drinks. s**t, s**t, s**t… he kept thinking to himself, how the hell did he end up letting himself be so easily duped into getting drugged. Lorcan tried to move his legs, his arms but the rope held tight as he could the noise of other people awakening. At least there was more than one; if it had been just him he feared it was someone from his former life. Someone he had owed money to and didn’t take so kindly to him living.

The lights turned on, blinding him as the voice started to speak. Wiggling his chair he tried to think of any solution to get out, and as far away as possible but the voice mentioned being bought. Gritting his teeth he kept still, he didn’t bother asking any questions either when the voice finished, and he sure enough didn’t enjoy being told that he was someone else’s property.

Others started to cry as men entered and began dragging each of them out into smaller rooms, Lorcan just sat back. There wasn’t much he could do, not at the moment and he sure enough couldn’t take on the men handling him. Shame it was all work and no pleasure though.

Lorcan grinned as a man and woman were dragged out in front also bound, the other told him he had to pick who he wanted to save. He tried not to put a lot of thought into; if he did he would have started to weigh both of their lives in his head. He didn’t want to feel guilty for any of it. This entire situation was not his fault.
He said the woman, making some sort of dumb joke about her having a nice rack as the man started to struggle. The men easily restrained him and took him off to the side into another room as Lorcan leaned forward to see what was in there.

Curiosity would kill the cat.

“What is that room for?” Obviously it was somewhere to die, the look of fear on the woman’s face, the man’s face as they dragged him in there was enough to tell him that. Why, what for, if he was going to have to play this stupid game with them he wanted something answered.

The woman struggled as Lorcan reaffirmed that he wanted to see the room. A man picked up his chair dragging him closer as the scent of blood was overwhelming. The woman started to scream as she was dragged in, the familiar sound of buzzing, as the noise of something liquid splattered onto the floor. The body twitched before water began to wash the blood away, the pieces picked up and wrapped giving the familiar look of meet from the grocery store.

His mind was slowly processing it all, it was trying to fit all the pieces together as he sat there his eyes never once looking away. There was a sick feeling in the bottom of his stomach, telling hi it was all wrong, all so wrong.

It was almost as if they were nothing more than cattle.

He was dragged down the hallway, the scent of familiar smoke as the doors opened.

He was back out on the casino floor, cursing under his breath at how stupid he had been to even get himself into the situation to start. The scared look on other people's faces and the guards how could he have been so stupid.
