She thought she could do something about her anxiety after all this time, but she should have known better. Her episode in the laundry room said as much: not even the apocalypse could stop things like Fantasia Moore's overactive nerves, whatever the usually stoic face had to say.
Half of her wanted to find one of the Apartment people, and the other half wanted to just get out of there entirely. Fidgeting with her new gloves, the short girl bobbed and weaved through the entirely too clean looking staff and the befuddled if not a little desperate group now gathering in the large building.
It was only when she spotted a familiar fro did the teen stop dead. Someone bumped into her form before and muttered a curse before side stepping her; Fantasia just gave their back the bird.
"Miss Zelda!" she tried to call out as she made her way through table after table after people after people.

Casinos had been entertaining places to be, once upon a time. Ninety percent of her sister's bachelorette party had taken place in one, and she'd even worked in another for a week as a second job until she realized they were more fun to visit than to run. Now they would just be another memory that had been ruined by all of this. People were going to die, her people, and though she could save a few, it wouldn't be enough.
When she heard someone calling her name, Zelda put her heart into the smile she turned on the girl. It had been a rough couple of days. She hadn't found time to make any motivational speeches or personally hand out supplies. She was going to have to make it up to them.
"Fantasia? Doing all right for now?"

"No." The word slipped out before she thought of something else. "I snuck out to the bandit base 'cause I thought I knew what I was doing and then I got ******** thrown out on my a** and after the wall and screaming I just--"
She took a deep breath and pulled her snug new torque down in distress. Her fingers ended up at her LED collar, curling around it spitefully as she tried to yank for no reason other than to do it.
"I did all that cleanin' and barricadin' and security s**t, n' for what, Zelda?" Fantasia's eyes were wide. "So they just could slap me in slavery just like that? No-one's gonna buy me 'cept me, but I'm s**t at these games, man. I'm s**t at everything."

Of course she wasn't all right. It had been a stupid question, one you asked when you already knew someone was fine. You didn't ask it here, after all they had seen. Fantasia's confession made Zelda frown, though whether it was because she disapproved of the girl putting herself in danger or was jealous that she had been brave enough to go to the base in the first place even Zelda didn't know.
"We did all those things so we'd have a safe place to be. And then we got greedy. I got greedy. But these weapons that the Harbingers have will turn things around for us. I'm sure of that. Even if they aren't the people we hoped they would be." She brought the sling where she normally kept her weapon around to the front of her body and rummaged inside. Her shovel had been confiscated, but the red-runed chain she presented to Fantasia had not.
"Don't worry about these games. Me and October will make sure everyone's paid for, and you won't be ours no matter how much we hand over. What's important is that you were brave to go to the base. This'll help you be brave again when you get out." At least Zelda hoped it would. She honestly had no idea what the thing did.Quote: Fantasia now has: [ ??? Weighted Chain ]A unique item. If you tether it to an undying, it will temporarily obey your commands. ((OOC: You get to "summon" any existing undying mob from the zone mob thread. It will attack per turn equal to the auto-damage it usually does to YOU. When the battle ends, the undying is desummoned/disappears).

What the hell was that?
She didn't know why the chains in particular unnerved her this much. One would think after the undying and shadows and all the information that had been traded about and now this weird a** casino, nothing was left to really catch anyone off guard. But until Fantasia laid eyes on that weapon, it had been easy just to assume it was a bad zombie apocalypse scenario they had all landed in: regular people against not so regular things in a battle for survival.
But now there was the strange one day healing. Now there was this obviously messed with chain Zelda wanted to hand over to her.
(Of course she focused on the negative instead of the compliment, instead of the assurance that everything would be okay. Of course.)
"H-How's that a weapon?" Fantasia had to ask, eyeing it like it was radioactive; well, it was glowing red at the very least. "What's it do?"

Zelda shrugged a little until she realized she probably shouldn't. She should have demanded they tell her exactly what it did when they had handed it over, but she hadn't. All she knew was that it would help them with the zombies, but even that information was suspect, considering the source. "It'll do something when used against the undying, but I'll be honest with you. I don't know what." Her hands dropped slightly, her body moving to hide the weapon's glow from the rest of the room, but that hardly mattered considering all of the flashing lights in this place.
"What I am sure of is that it won't do anything to you." She couldn't actually guarantee that in the long run, these people were cannibals after all, but Zelda doubted that was because of a glowing chain. "If you don't want it, I won't burden you with it, honey."medigel i forgot to mention it can only be used three times total awooogah
