RULES OF THIS GAME:
[ Step 1]: The person making the thread is called the "dealer". They may simply create a [ 20 questions ] thread and label it OPEN. They may think of an existing object, name of a FAMOUS person (ie: Brad Pitt), location of a place (ie: New York, the Rocky Mountains), or movie. They MUST commit to it. Obviously, do NOT post your answer. Simply write that your character is sitting at a 20 questions table as dealer and that the thread is OPEN.
[ Step 2]: As long as that thread is open, ANY player can come in and ask the dealer a question. If a player thinks they know the answer, that counts as a question too. You can wait for a dealer to respond before asking a question, or spam with questions if you feel risky. Remember questions cost COINS to ask so think carefully!
[ Step 3]: Dealers need to quote players the answer to the question. It is always YES or NO. They cannot answer anything other than YES or NO.
[ Step 4]: If a player guesses within 20 questions, they get the 10 points! If a dealer wins (more than 20 questions are asked), they get a whopping 20 points!
[ Step 5]: If anyone is caught "cheating" ie: a player and dealer are collaborating, dealer tells player answer and player immediately guesses within 1-3 questions, they will have all their coins taken from them. Please play this game as it was meant to be played so everyone can have fun!
Mel took a seat and dropped the five coin entry fee on the table, then waited, as there wasn't much more she could do. Really, twenty questions seemed like a whole lot and she wasn't sure if anyone would be interested in playing at all, but it was worth a shot. About as much as any other game, anyway. So she sat patiently, eyeing the collars of those that passed. Occasionally she would drum her fingers on the table every so often. She was obviously nervous...
What if someone guessed it? Then she'd be out five more coins and...
Ugh.
The only consolation there was that someone else was closer to safety, but that only marginally made her feel any better about the whole thing.

Dylan was pretty sure that most casinos didn't have 20 Questions as one of their games. Admittedly, he hadn't been in many, but he was still pretty certain. He walked up to the table. 1 coin per guess. He could afford a few coins for this, having done surprisingly well in the slots.
"Is it a person?"
He'd give himself 5 questions. If he didn't know the answer by then, he'd give up. That be fair, and wouldn't cause him to lose too many coins.

Dylan grinned back. He wasn't sure if it was allowed to talk to the dealers outside of the questions, and so he was going to play it safe. Best thing to do when surrounded with crazy people.
So it wasn't a person. He was actually glad to hear that, there were way too many different people that he wasn't aware of. So what else might it be? Hmm. Maybe a place? Or an animal. There were way too many choices. He needed a way to narrow it down.
Or maybe he should just flip a coin. Oh, shoot, he just thought of a better question that he should have started with, but it was too late now. Fine. "Is it a place?"

She watched him with as blank an expression as she could manage, curious about what was going through his mind as he tried to figure out what to ask her. For a second she wasn't sure he was going to ask another question, but when he dropped another coin she relaxed and, upon hearing the question, shook her head again.

Not a person or a place. This was both narrowing things down, and not narrowing them down, and he frowned as he thought. He was a little relieved that it wasn't place either, but he was starting to think that he might not have an answer in the few turns left that he was going to play.
"Is it a movie?" It'd be fun to try and guess a movie, and that was really the best category for him to try and guess.

An object. That didn't really narrow it down at all, and he thought about what might be the best question to ask. He was unlikely to figure out the answer, but maybe the next person wouldn't have to ask the same things, giving them a higher chance to win.
Or maybe not, but this was kind of fun.

Alright. He had said that he was only going to ask 5 questions, so he really should be done, but Dylan was starting to get curious. What was she thinking of? He could afford to spend a few more coins in the game, and while he probably should just move on, he decided not to.
He was enjoying himself a bit too much.

When he decided to stick around she smiled, glad to have the company for as long as she had to sit there and wait until all twenty of the questions were asked. With his question she paused and gave it a bit of thought...then nodded.

So, it was something that could be found in a house, that was bigger than a breadbox. Interesting. It still didn't narrow things down very far, but at least now he had someplace to focus on. If he continued to try to guess. Maybe after this one he would take a walk to think, and come back in a while. It certainly couldn't hurt.
