From the outside, Florence Court looked like any other apartment building on the street. It had been, at one point, a large single-family home - this, too, was like many other buildings on the street. At some point, a previous owner had carved it up into three floors of apartments, and that suited everyone just fine - it meant that they could have their little commune without it actually being a literal commune. Tallulah did not think that her life would have been nearly as pleasant if she had to share a kitchen and community bathroom with her upstairs neighbors, anyway. The building had been filling in nicely in recent months, which was good news to take back to Kaatje. Sailor Gunn had a vision, and even if she was overseas (and stubbornly refusing to do any research for Tallulah while she was in Japan, gosh), that vision would be fulfilled. From her study spot at the kitchen table, Tallulah heard the lobby door open and close. That was all very normal. What was less normal was when she looked up four minutes later and saw, through the stained-glass panel on her front door, that there was someone still wandering around the lobby who she didn't think she'd ever seen before. She got up to go investigate. Sticking her head out of her apartment, Tallulah asked, "Looking for someone?" Nope, she confirmed. He definitely didn't live here.

Senri had returned to Destiny City after a job that took him overseas. Whether or not it would be a brief stay ultimately depended on what happened. And one of the first things on his list was to reacquaint himself with those he knew-- specifically to know if they were still dead or alive, since the senshi and negaverse war waged on stronger than ever. He decided to stop by Gunn's place first, or the last place he had known she lived. Even though they had parted on .. bad terms, Senri cared enough to want to know if she was alive or dead. He had tried to check in with the lobby, but it appeared the lobby person was on break as there was nobody at the desk. In order to absolve his impatience, the male began to pace around the floor. At least he didn't have to wait very long to attract somebody's attention. When somebody poked out their head, Senri took a glance. They might be able to help him -- at least moreso than an empty desk? "Yes, I'm looking for a person named Kaatje. Would you happen to know if she's home?"

Tallulah cocked her head to the side. Whoever this guy was had talked to Kaatje recently enough to know about her Florence court address, but not recently enough to know she was away on deployment, which narrowed it down to about six months of time for their last contact. "She didn't tell you?" she asked, stepping out into the lobby and closing the door behind her. "She's in Japan. You know she's in the Air Force, right?" Maybe that came as a surprise to him - she wasn't exactly clear on what his relationship to Kaatje was, after all, but she could do some digging. Tallulah had always been good at gathering intel. "My name's Tallulah. Kaatje's my best friend." Girlfriend. Something. She smiled - friendly, but not too friendly. "I could give her your email address?" she suggested. "Tell her to get in touch? She would.... know who you are, right?" Was this guy, like, a senshi or something? She had to wonder. Kaatje had never mentioned anyone who might come by... but maybe he'd been out of town. A lot of people had been out of town. She couldn't hold that against them.

"No. It's been a while since we've contacted each other." He excused for his lack of knowledge. Upon being told that she was in Japan's air force of all things.. the flicker of surprise in his eyes did make it obvious that he didn't know. "Whoa, whoa. What is that Kaatje thinking?" She did some crazy things, like the dark moon court and now fighting in some military in a foreign country. Senri could never quite predict her actions. Really, that girl. Raking back his hair in some confusion, he then realized how rude he was being. Her friendly smile was prompting for an introduction on his end, so he didn't hesitate to say so. "My name is Senri. I was," A slight pause wondering what he was to the wildfire senshi but he settled on the most neutral term, "Kaatje's friend as well." When the mention of contacting her came up, he shook his head. "She would know who I am, but there's no need for that." As it stood right now, he couldn't be sure if Kaatje still wanted to be in contact with him. As long as he knew she was alive, that would suffice. But staring at this girl, Senri also wondered if she was related to Sailor Gunn as well..? Although he wasn't involved in the war scene, he should know his enemies and allies after all. "We met up a lot at night. Kaatje was really fond of playing games. Her playing style is like wildfire, while my playing style was more free, like the wind." To anybody else, it might have sounded like Senri was just rambling in nostalgia. Yet he was testing to see Talulah's reaction.

Tallulah was pretty sure she knew exactly what Kaatje had been thinking - that a military contract was a really nice way to get paid to get the ******** out of dodge. Gunn was a serious senshi, but sometimes the hardest work could be the most draining. Fighting might be better off left to the younger watch. She'd seen what spending too long in this war had done to the old guard - anyone who didn't take a break at some point was likely to burn themselves out. Some people had gone half-mad even so. "I think she wanted to see the world," said Tallulah, shrugging genially. "Get out of DC for a while, you know?" Whether or not he wanted to pass along his contact information, she'd be sure to mention him the next time she called Kaatje. She'd have gossip, and maybe a warning. There was probably a reason for the lack of contact. "An enthusiast," she said, picking the subtext up quickly. "I see. I play sometimes. I guess you could say I'm in pretty deep." Because that was the joke, right? They were doing puns? Reaching behind her, she opened the door to her apartment back up. "I think you'd better come in, sailor."

Senri raised an eyebrow in return to her quip, seeing that she was more than she seemed. He let an amused smile grace his features, realizing that he hadn't met another senshi in a long time. Though that was mostly his fault. He wasn't unlike Kaatje in refusing to take part in the senshi antics for the past year or so. Though it wasn't a military contract, and part of his job, the end result was the same: escape, he supposed. "If you don't mind." He followed her as she retreated back into her apartment. Now that he was finally re-visiting Destiny city, testing the waters as you would call it -- meeting Tallulah wasn't unpleasant. In fact, it was the opposite, as Senri liked her company so far. "I hope I'm not interrupting anything." He stepped inside first, politely taking off his shoes before entering the main part. A curious gaze was cast about the room, merely observing until Tallulah joined him after closing the door.

Inside, Tallulah's apartment was clean and tastefully furnished, a little bit industrial (exposed brick tended to have that effect) and a little bit luxe. "Please, have a seat," she said, gesturing to the dining table. "Can I get you anything? Tea. Coffee? I think we might have some Sprite." She stopped, hands on the kitchen counter, and then turned around holding her henshin pen. She placed it on the table in front of him. "Eternal Sailor Europa, by the way," she said, smiling slightly. "I'm not sure we've ever crossed paths. I've been out of town a lot the last few years." "And no," she added. "You're not interrupting anything. I don't have any classes today, so I was catching up on some reading." Her textbook and notepad were still on the table, keeping her henshin pen company. "I'm sorry Kaatje's not around. Are you sure you don't want me to tell her you stopped by?" It seemed pretty weird that he'd stop by Kaatje's apartment, theoretically trying to see her in person, but decline to get in touch with her otherwise. Maybe he was a stalker. Tallulah tried not to frown.
