Her concussion seemed to fade away with the end of the day, and Kelly was surprised to feel her head at a normal, non-throbbing state. She wasn't sure if she should question the quick healing, but she didn't have much room to worry. It was a new day, and the Zone was officially closing to the temporary residents. Everyone was in a bit of a huff trying to figure out what to do next, when suddenly the sky was lit like it was on fire.
Maybe it was.
Kelly couldn't believe the fireworks lighting the dull night, and why anyone would be so foolish. She rushed to the side of the road, leaning near a building and anticipating movement from the undying in the city. Yet, nothing happened. All was quiet. Nothing was going on. After the fireworks died, she stayed to the side just in case, but still the area was filled with silence and the whispers of those around her.
Eventually, everyone determined to go to the location of the fireworks, and they walked in silence through the night. As they got closer, the hum of light seemed to fill the air, until they caught sight of a fully lit casino. How as it possible?
Kelly moved with the crowd toward the light, being directed inside slowly. She wasn't sure why, but she couldn't resist going to see what this place was, like a moth drawn to a flame.

Kelly was struck by the smells and sights of the casino as soon as she entered. Smoke filled the air and filled her lungs, and she tried to not cry a bit at the smell from around the area. And then there was the tell tale stench of alcohol, both from the sweaty bodies of the humans and from the spilled and saturated floor. As soon as she got over the scents, she could see the brightly lit hallways of slot machines and tables, all giving the sense of glamor and sin. It was overwhelming, and it was startling. Kelly just froze a moment near the entry to take it all in.
Then, she finally walked around to watch a bit, not sure what to do but sticking away from the tables. She had no money, and she wasn't sure if she'd really play anything anyway. Casinos always were a bit of a waste, in her mind. As she thought this, she was approached by someone who handed her a cocktail. Kelly took it with a forced smile, but still overwhelmed she refused to drink it.
"Welcome to Delta Casinos! To begin, we will play with a currency called Casino coins. You can use them later for fantastic prizes!"
Blinking, Kelly took the casino coins offered, and had to place the drink down to hold all 50 of them. As soon as she had them, the woman seemed to walk way, leaving Kelly to use them on her own.

As Kelly moved away from the crowd and against the wall, feeling a bit flushed as she stood there. Something didn't feel right, and as she looked around, she caught sight beyond the flashing lights - people didn't seem to be enjoying things. She shifted, a bit shocked, and realized something was very wrong. However, when she moved away from the wall, a dizzy spell hit, and she stumbled before falling to the ground. Just before it went dark, she felt hands grab her shoulders, but she couldn't scream.
When Kelly came to, she didn't realize it for a long second. It wasn't until she heard moans and cries that she became aware her eyes were indeed open. It was then that the lights flashed on, and she groaned. Sound filled her ears, and when she opened her eyes again and they slowly adjusted, she made out the sight of a classroom like setup. She couldn't look around, thanks to her tight bindings, so all she did was focus on the voice filling the room.
Applause and silence, and Kelly couldn't believe this was some sort of sick game. She paid attention closely and realized she would need to literally purchase her life back. Her hands began to shake in both anger and frustration, and she tried to not freak out and have a panic attack. When the man asked for questions, she kept silent and just glared. That was until the man came forward and began to drag her chair away into another room.
As she entered the room, she eyed the two in front of her as her chair was slammed down. It wasn't until the man said for her to choose that she stalled, and her tongue stuck to the roof of her mouth. Darting between the two, she had to make a choice, and she looked apologetically at the boy.
"I choose her..."
The girl seemed to sag in relief as the boy was dragged out of the room, screaming and struggling. Kelly tried to remain aloof, keeping her eyes on the woman. She couldn't help but dart them to the door, but looked away and refused to ask.
They were taken to a room to clean up, but Kelly kept silent and waited while the girl was taken away too. She couldn't help but wonder, as she walked out into the casino, if the girl still went to the same room as the boy.
