Drawn in by the fireworks, curious Sunny investigated the source and of course spotted the massive glowing building.
Is this what I've been missing out here? Having been blind hid most of the horrors she's actually crossed paths with. Corpses, photos of brutal murder - all oblivious. Well, aside from the unbearable smell she experienced but lacked the sense to identify.
With her sight back, the facade of the casino welcomed her and Sunny trotted up in her uniform without doubt of the place crossing her mind.

It was like stepping through a magical door. On the other side, a whole new world from the daily stink and survival as a Mall Rat. Well, Sunny still smelled pretty bad but maybe the scent of the lively casino would distract from that.
Oh, and the chatter! It appeared to be an entirely social, safe scene. More relaxed than the Winchester back at home. Nothing against the bartender's establishment, of course.
Sunny helped herself to exploring and took a peek at all the slot machines. There were more games too, but having a seat to yourself and playing something simple sounded divine right now.
Her mental indulgence was interrupted by an unknown gentleman. She started the real indulgence with a sip of the cocktail. "I can just have these?" she said, not actually questioning it an accepting whatever he was willing to give her.
She didn't want to say it, but certainly thought it. This place is even better than the Mall. A nice cocktail, tokens you don't even have to work for, and games all in one place. Sure, they had the bar and arcade back home, but they couldn't beat Delta Casinos. Hell, the man even mentioned prizes. They actually had a chance at prizes? The prizes in their arcade were all locked up.
Sunny sat her rump on the cushioned stool in front of one of the slot machines. Her red-riding hood basket sat in her lap and the cocktail certainly didn't leave her hand as the pulled the lever with her other.
Your character selects to play the slot machines! They sit down, and roll the machines. Make a new post in your [ Casino solo ] thread. Roll 5d6 (5 6-sided dice). If you roll any matching pair (ie, 1,1, 2,2, etc), you win 2 coins! You can only play this UP TO three times (three pulls, in separate rolled RP posts). Write your RP reaction to what you have done/ experience with it.
Make sure in this post you include your usual OOC segment [ AND LOG THE AMOUNT OF CASINO COINS YOU HAVE ]. You should have a base of 50 to start +whatever you win from pulling slot machines!
Sunny watch the symbols play out and was very pleased with her matching pair. She took another sip of her cocktail and retrieved her reward. Two shiny coins.
Pleased, but not satisfied. Sunny was determined to play out her luck and gave the lever another pull.

Two more coins for the slowly growing treasure pile. Sunny grinned. She was still getting pretty lucky.
"Here goes nothing." She downed the rest of her cocktail and pulled the lever again.

"Yeeeeeeee..." Sunny's celebratory cheer was slurred. Picking up the two reward coins turned out to be a struggle and her arm felt heavy. She wobbled.
"Whuh. What?" she blubbered. As the room grew dark and her vision blurred, Sunny feared her blindness was making a return. "What's happening?" She tried to stand and support herself, dropping the cocktail glass on the floor. However, soon her entirety joined its place and she was out like a light.

Sunny awoke to being trapped like a... rat. It was most undesirable for the young Mall Rat.
As she struggled against her binds, she could hear others around her and stopped only at being blinded by a massive light. It was a relief she wasn't back to being blind, but Sunny didn't exactly gush over it in the present situation. Squinting at her surroundings, she listened to the voice.
She had to buy herself? What, earn her life? Sunny couldn't believe it. She struggled again at the binds and grunted. The image of the pristine, social casino shattered as the real world they were left to toppled into her thoughts. It was just a ruse playing on her hopes.
The announcer called for questions and Sunny hoped to beg. What did they want? Money? She had a wad of cash. Unfortunately, her 'ropes are bound so tight,' she 'cannot even speak'. Before she could even give an honest try, she was being dragged off and remained silent.

Placed in front of two other victims, Sunny had to choose who she would save.
Her heart melted. How could they leave their fates to her of all people? How could she choose?
She observed the woman first. Scared out of her mind, she was. Sunny empathized, but couldn't imagine what it'd be like in her place. Sunny still had a chance, but her.. here she was. Of course there was a chance, but that was up to Sunny. And that meant..
She looked at the boy next. He would be left behind if Sunny helped the woman. She couldn't understand; he was still young.
Looking up at the ceiling, Sunny shook her head. She couldn't believe it, she couldn't do it.. but she had to, to have a chance herself. That boy shouldn't even be here. He is too young.
Sunny didn't make eye contact with either of them after that and motioned her head at the young man. Him. It was him she would save. She stared at the ground. Sunny didn't want to watch and yet her curiosity gnawed at her. She looked up to see a blur. The boy was running, and then he was dead.
The announcer's voice was hollow. Sunny stared at the corpse in disbelief, unable to look away. Perhaps he was taking an opportunity to escape, or perhaps he just didn't want to take his chances with her... Either way, Sunny allowed herself to be dragged away to what awaited her.

The casino was less glamorous now. The lights, colors, scents: all dull. Sunny stared out at the casino floor and its inhabitants, a disappointed husk.
She wondered if she was really lucky at all or if her life was just a massive roller coaster of disaster and the good, balancing itself out as to not derail off track.
