A full day had passed before Kammy was able to see again. At first it wasn't much, just a small pinprick in her vision, but soon her field of view grew until her eyes were working just as well as they did before she had been hit. They went skyward at the first loud bang, and she could only stare in awe at the spectacular display of fireworks.

She had never been so thankful to be able to see fireworks in her life, the vibrant colors taking her back to a much more happy place, before her brain started to ask questions. For starters, who in their right mind would shoot fireworks in a area with undying and infected who were attracted to bright noise and lights?! However as she looked around, neither infected or undying appeared interested in the slightest. But she was, and she made a beeline for the location, hoping to find something good there.

What she found was completely unexpected. A gargantuan building covered head to toe in gaudy LED lights. Kammy was at a loss to explain just how they could waste so much electricity on this, not to mention where they got it, and also where the hell did this place come from?!

It was strange, and she wanted to figure out what was going on, meanwhile grab some more supplies, so she walked into the comforting warm light of the casino.

Huh, that was strange, when did it get so hot in here. Kammy rubbed her eyes, her vision going blurry. This made her panic, fearful that she would go blind again, but she soon realized the blurriness wasn't from her eyes failing. She was just so tired, maybe if she took a quick nap here...

The next thing Kammy was aware of was the heavy tiredness throughout her entire body. Then she realized her arms and legs were tied to a chair, so tight she couldn't move let alone speak, twine wrapped around her mouth.

Suddenly the room was bathed in light, the girl cursing in discomfort at the intensity. She squinted, waiting for them to accumulate to the brightness, as a loud voice filled the room. Soon enough she could both hear and see. She was with others, tied to chairs in what could only be described as a classroom, with speakers in front of them.

She kept quiet as the rules were explained, incredulous at just what was happening. So much for the harbingers being assholes, these guys had just kidnapped her and were making her gamble her way to freedom. If not, she would be auctioned of for a dinner fundraiser.

There was something ominous about what was said there...oh...oh s**t

She went to ask a question, but remembered the fact she couldn't talk due to the gag, and just muffled angrily, and the announcer continued on with more information they had 'forgot'. She tried to get the gag off her, but instead her whole chair was dragged away by another attendant into a small room. She sat in her bounds, transfixed at the two others there, while more terms were issued.

...They couldn't be serious...this couldn't be happening.

Kammy's eyes were wide, anxiously staring at the two. The woman was terrified, the man crying to himself. And she had to choose one of them. The thick sludge of dread mixed with fear clogged her insides. She could guess what would happen to the one who didn't get chosen.

Ugh, this made her sick. This was not something she ever foresaw herself doing. Her body shook, eyes closing and breathing rapid before she forced herself to calm down. Okay, think about this. If her hunch was correct then one of them was screwed regardless of what she did, and considering humanity could be screwed at this point, she have to go by the old adage women and children first. She wanted to choose them both, oh god she did, but she couldn't, so a choice had to be made...

Her head nodded to the girl. Immediately she cried in relief as they let her go, while the other man began to scream in fear. Briefly she thought he could fight his way out, but they soon overwhelmed and dragged him away into another room, her face pale and stomach twisting in knots. She chewed at the rope, then with some mouth work managed to spit it out as she caught a glimpse of the room, without thinking, she asked what was in there before she recalled their previous warning. s**t oh s**t she screwed up !

"Do you want to know"

With a glance at the terrified women vehemently shaking her head, Kammy shook her head so viciously she nearly pulled a muscle. She then felt her binds cut, and was lead down a hallway to another door.
