Unsure of how much time had passed, Brie dragged her feet as she walked, tiredly following others from her faction, too nervous to leave on her own. Fireworks exploded into the sky, resulting in the red head to spin and nearly fall when startled by the large display in he sky. Surely, this was a death trap! How were they not swarmed by udying with all this ruckus and light? Strangely enough though, nothing. Not one undying were attracted to the events of this place.

Turning, she realized she had lost track of the others she had traveled with. Had they gone ahead without her? To that..?

Her gaze lingered on the building before her, shivering in its presence. Not knowing, what lay wait for them was off putting to her, yet hesitantly she entered the building in hopes of locating those she knew.

The Casino was as loud and as bright as she would imagine one to be. She had never set foot into a place like this, nor did she ever wish too. Pay money in a chance to win money, or risk losing everything you had. She knew people who had put themselves in these kind of situations, and the end result was nothing to smile at.

The smell of booze and smoke from cigarettes were enough to instinctively cover her nose and mouth with the back of her hand. People actually liked this?

Weaving through the crowd inside of the casino, she avoided--as much as she could--bumping into others within the facility. Already she could feel the anxiety getting to her, as being around this many people at once was far too uncomfortable for her liking.

Bristling at the approach of some unknown person, Brie refused the drink offered, keeping her hand over her mouth still. "No thanks. I don't drink." Well, at least not since the apocalypse began anyways. Last thing she needed was to walk out in a drunken stupor and get herself mauled by undying.

[ Chose Nothing.... ]

Examining the coins handed to her, she loosed a deep sigh. Could she not? Gambling was never part of the plan..

[ 50 casino coins ]

Despite how big this place was, she thought she would have been able to find at least one other person from her faction? How is it she lost them all so easy? To make matters worse, her vision was starting to blur, and she was feeling more tired then she had before entering the casino. Bringing her hand to her head, Brie stumbled and then blacked out completely.

---

Waking again, her eyes fluttered open, but the pain from her head and body urged her to close them again. Attempting to open them again, she realized something was off.

Trying to move was not possible. Whatever had happened while she was out, caused her to be in dire circumstances. But just how did she end up here, and when did she pass out? A minute has passed, and all the worst case scenarios were playing out in her head. Shaking, her hands gripped at whatever she could, as it was all she could do to keep from crying.

The lights turned on, and in result, a breathless cry escaped her lips. Her eyes fought to adjust to the light, as well as examine her surroundings. Was she in a classroom? What was this place? Where was everyone?

-"Attention all Casino players! Welcome to our tenth annual casino games! A big round of applause to our new players!"-

The booming voice did nothing to help her headache, nor did it ease her mind when the 'applause' began. Struggling against the bindings, she became frustrated when unable to check just who or what was in the room with her.

-"Now, let us explain the rules for the new casino players! All of you are given a number. There is a lucky lottery number drawing, if your number is drawn, you get to escape from here free. Lucky you! For everyone else, well, you are not so lucky. I'm afraid the only freedom for you comes from buying it. That's right, each of you have been given, and assessed a value. If you wish to escape, and you must do so by the end of this day, you must buy out your own value or we will buy you."

"'How may I buy myself out?', you may ask. Well, that is simple! All you have to do is play any of our games in our casino with Casino Coins! When you have earned enough Casino Coins equal to your value, you may request to make a purchase. Now, we aren't heartless here. You may purchase yourself, or another player. You may even purchase both if you have enough! Wouldn't that be nice! Anyone left unpurchased will be property of the Casino, and be auctioned for our dinner fundraiser tonight."-

Without any other options, Brie was forced to listen to the instructions of their game. Though as they continued, the more ill she felt. Numbers? A lottery to win their freedom? They'd buy them if they couldn't afford their own freedom? Just what kind of sick game was this? To save themselves or another person, she was to be forced to play their games, and hope that this too wasn't some false hope. Either way, the idea of being auctioned off at a 'dinner fundraiser' didn't bode well.

What were these people?

-"Any questions?" One per person please!"-

[ Chose to Remain silent. ]

'Any questions?' They really had the nerve to ask that? How could she? Shaking from a mix of fear and rage, she startled at the sudden movement. Getting a look at the person moving her, they looked to be in the similar attire that of the person who greeted her in the casino.

Brought before two other unknown victims, her gaze flashed back and forth between the young woman and man, both of whom didn't appear to fare any better than she. Was this where the games were to begin..?

-"Now," booms the announcer voice in the new room, a much smaller one, "these are the losing players from the last game. A Bunch of sore losers if you ask me. But we're giving you a chance to redeem one as their patron. If you manage to buy yourself out of the games, then you will also buy one of them out too. Now, which one will it be?"-

Now she had to CHOOSE one of them? And just what was to happen to the other victim? Were they to be auctioned off? God.. How the hell did she end up in this mess?

[ Chose The Young Lady ]

She gestured to the young lady before her, not knowing what the outcome of her choice would be. The muffled cries of relief made her hope she had made a good choice, but as soon as the man began to shriek through his bindings, she could feel her stomach churn. What did she just do?

Watching in horror, the two attendants grabbed at him, removing him from the chair, dragging him into another room. The fresh blood left behind as well as his distant screaming were sure to haunt her for the rest of her life. However long that was..

[ Chose to Ask what is in the room ]

Naturally, after getting a glimpse of the room, she had to ask. "W-what's in there?" She needed to know what she had to done to the poor man.

"Are you sure you want to know?"-

About to reply, she caught sight of the woman shaking her head, in a desperate attempt to keep her from asking about it further.

[ Chose Nevermind, I don't need to know ]

Hesitantly, Brie lowered her head to stare at the ground. "No.. I guess not."

-"Good. I didn't think so."-

Angry, she bit her tongue, not wanting to make her's, or the woman's situation worse than it already was. Watching the woman being dragged off, she was then escorted down a hallway, led all the way to a single door.

Perhaps that man would be okay? Right? Maybe this was all some big hoax to scare them a little?

No..

She would have to be stupid to think that. The blood and horror that was written on his face were proof enough that these people were not fooling around. This was a death game, and for all she knew, she just chose to end someone's life.

Her feet dragged as she continued to be led down the hall, the hall which seemed to go on forever. Ultimately, this whole endeavor made her sick to her stomach.

Finally reaching the doors, she re-entered what appeared to be the very same casino she had been to prior her black out. Of course they had so many people here playing their games.. they weren't guests. They were prisoners. All of them--people from her faction, other factions, everyone here was now stuck trying to win their freedom.

The only problem was, she had never gambled a day in her life! How was she supposed to win hers, or anyone's freedom if she didn't even understand the game?

Shakily, she headed out, unsure of what to do or where to go. She had to move fast though. The clock was ticking.
