Apparently she had to pull a double shift at the med bay. Then again, this was what she got for wanting to be helpful: first, she had to work her way up the ladder. But frankly Adelaide wished she could grease said ladder and then push off whoever was in charge of making it take so long. Was it God? She'd totally push God off.
"Alright, what d'you got for me?" she droned at the attendant, already quite aware of what she had become known for. "More thermometers?"
"Actually, no. We need some bandages to resupply."
The older woman's eyes lit up.

Finally. FINALLY. Something other than thermometers and catheters, which she swore had been jokes by these YOUNG FOLK (youths as Adelaide had so often hissed under her breath scornfully) to comment on her age. Jealous bunch just wanted her double parkas, that's for sure. Lucky parkas at that.
But bandages, she could do.
The problem was that the prison's means of venting frustration often meant a common usage for bandages beyond just accidents on scavenging might require of them. So Adelaide had a hard time locating even one roll in the cluttered closet, though she eventually managed. She returned triumphantly and gave them over.

With that out of the way, it was back to clean up. But this time, Adelaide St. Pierre wore a carefree, actual smile on her face. It was nice to know she was actually wanted there rather than just another face in the crowd; and really, who could replicate the beautiful contours of this foxy lady?
(Speaking of, she needed to come up with a code name still...hmm...)
She hummed and mulled it over as she began to clear up the supply closet. She swore every time she thought she had it all nice and tidy, something came and threw it into chaos once more.
