Amazon Outpost Danger Level: 1
The Amazon Outpost was originally nothing more than a few tents hauled up into the higher branches of the trees in order to stay off the ground, where one may be bitten by any number of poisonous insects or other animals. However, when B.A.I.T.R noticed their operatives traversing into the rainforest more and more to discover what might lie within the thick, sprawling greenscape, they decided a more fortified home location would have to be made. Thus, the baiters who wished to further explore what the rainforest had to offer began to build a settlement that was crafted by the very trees that surrounded them. They build several rooms--enough for three large travelling parties--and there is even a restaurant with food and drink readily available.
At first glance, the Amazon Rainforest looks like there would be little to fear within it, aside from the multitude of dangerous animals and plants that could likely kill a grown man with little more than an accidental brush-by. However, deep in the Amazon, it is said that there is a tribe of people who live inside the forest and welcome A.I. Cores into their midst, attempting to integrate with them and create a superior species. This integration, however, is more dangerous than the H.A.L.F procedure that the baiters endure, because of the fact that there is no code core to contain the A.I. Code once it has invaded the body, and more often than not, the A.I. Code will completely take over the brain and alter the physiology of the host.

 STAND BY______________________________________________
The secretary hadn't done much in the way of instigating conversation, especially after she noted Fay's cold tone with her. A slight hint of fear was leaking from her, despite her best bet to cover it up with indifference that was. After a few moments of her typing away at the keyboard she handed back Faelan's ID and directed him in the direction that he needed to go in order to move forward with his mission. The place he was going this time was a vastly different than where he had gone before. It was in fact that polar opposite of the vast wasteland that was a desert. Fay was being sent into depths of the amazon to handle a 'Disturbance'. It seemed various mysterious events were going on within the large forest and someone was feeling uneasy. A determined look flashed across the gold eyes before it was immediately calmed. With the formal part of the mission selection done, and as there was no longer any need for the secretary's help, Faelan departed and headed towards the teleportation chambers.
- - -
The effects of the teleportation had worn off a bit more quickly than they had before. No doubt due to this being his third time undergoing this type of travel. Once he was fully steadied Fay took in his various surroundings. It was clear that the building he was in was made entirely out of wood, but more than that it seemed that everything connected together seamlessly, as it was carved out of wood instead of nailed together. Various bits of information about the Rainforest and this particular outpost came bubbling up to the surface of his mind. Thanks to his repeated battles of the mind with Xiao Feng, Faelan had gained access to bits and pieces of Feng's memories. As he went over all the information that suddenly appeared within his mind Fay made note of the various things he needed to be careful of. One being the hidden tribes of the Amazon that practiced AI integration willingly. Although Xiao Feng had gone through something similar in the end, he had actually came out on top thanks to his high level Code Cores protecting his actual awareness. These people didn't have the Code Cores protecting them, and in the end were ultimately taken over by the AI awareness. Still they could not be underestimated. Once he was done looking over the various memories Fay set out to situate himself with the rest of the outpost.
The man that had sent in the mission request was very vague, and had instructed for the person whom accepted the mission to meet him at a local restaurant. So once Faelan gained his bearings of the outpost he immediately headed for the restaurant to wait for his contact. Though when Fay actually met the man, the client had left much to be desired. The man was slightly disheveled and a bit twitching as he began to speak of the various odd things he had witnessed in the forest just beyond the outpost. Most of them seemed like simple ghost tales created to scare children. The man was obviously paranoid. Fay had suspected that a long life in the Amazon had taken it's toll on the man's mind. Still as Faelan listened to the man talk he had noticed that the man's clothing had covered the vast majority of his body and even parts of his face; as if the man was covering up a large deformity. The weirdest thing of all was that Fay could even smell the slight scent of blood and death about the man, which had only seemed to further his distrust for the man's state of mind. Still Fay had taken on the mission, and there was no point in going back without at least checking the surroundings for anything out of the ordinary. So as soon as the paranoid man was done explaining his situation Falean didn't bother waiting around and immediately set off into the woods.

Thick, furry hands wrapped around massive, moss covered branches, hurling along an equally huge, muscular frame. The creature looked like what would happen if you fused together a tank and a gorilla, but clearly it could handle its own weight if the speed it was moving through the trees was anything to go by. Its hulking metal frame swung from tree to tree with such a casual ease, one might actually assume it wasn't a machine.
Suddenly its glowing blue eyes snapped to the forest floor, and it immediately spotted what had caught its attention. It was a Baiter! One of those runty little bastards the humans kept sending out into their claimed lands! This territory was for the cores only! No pip squeak looking little flesh sack was going to change that!
With great confidence, it let go of the branch it was hanging on. It fell towards the ground without an ounce of worry, and the reason why was made obvious a moment later, when it slammed into the ground with an explosion of debris and sound. It rose up and brushed off its shoulders and chest with its near hog sized hands, before dropping back down to its knuckles. "What's a runty little s**t like yourself doing here?"
The tone was distinctly male, and very deep. A few octaves lower and his voice would probably sound like gravel grinding against itself. He presented himself with an obvious and clear amount of pride and confidence, as though it were certain it would walk away from this perfectly fine. The other thing clear? The threat in his voice when he spoke. He also had no intention of letting the lady Baiter leave alive.

There wasn't even the sound of whistling air as the incredibly lithe body whipped itself along the forest floor, it's body so graceful it could almost be confused for a snake, considering it was naught more than a blur to the average eye. How was it reaching this level of speed? Simple, its legs were very long, and very powerful, and the rest of its body was designed to keep it on track. The only parts of this creature not design to propel it forward were the two whip like extensions riding the wind behind it.
The only reason this creature was running through the woods at these speeds? Elsewhere its whole group got torn to bits! A group of those thrice damned Baiters showed up, and while it was a grueling fight for both sides, its side ultimately lost. What did it decide? To make a tactical retreat. Some might call it cowardice, but what purpose did it dying too serve?
As it was racing along the ground, a smell wafted into its nose, causing it to immediately pull itself to a stop. The sight that would greet anyone who happened to be looking, was it skidding to a stop several feet away from where it had started to stop. However, they wouldn't get much of a look at it, for the second its forward momentum ended it snapped off in another direction with a rapid whoosh.
Once again it skidded to a stop as it reached what it was looking for, clumps of dirt and branch were sent flying as it did so. As it reared up to look around, its whip styled appendages flapping around it threateningly, the smell of ozone leaking from them. What it was looking at was a huge monstrous beast of a core, and another Baiter. It was feeling rather tired of Baiters today. However, there was only the one! And! There was another core there! This meant they could take it down easily. Perhaps this meant it could start a new team?
"Allow me to assist you brother." It said in a rather hard to understand voice, garbled and twisted as it was. It was so difficult to understand, that one couldn't even get a good map on an idea for the gender for the core. As it spoke these words, sparks started dancing between the whips behind its body. It was obviously ready for combat.

The Illusionist didn't believe in coincidence.
There was no such thing.
So, when he found himself staring at a group of his ally cores, he didn't even think twice about joining up. Honestly, the Illusionist was a lot like that. No real thought put into things, it was the definition of going with the flow. That's why this morning when it woke up it just started moving, without direction or real motivation. Why when it saw a lowly human, it cut it down without thought or regret. Why when it saw a battle between Baiters and Cores it just turned away.
Things happened for a reason. The direction it chose led it into the path of the human. The death of the human slowed it down, so that it didn't wind up in that battle, which turning away from had led to him coming here, to this battle where they had a three to one advantage on a fledgling Baiter. Even if he thought about it, it made too much sense for him to be there to turn away now. So, instead it simply floated over, levitating almost a foot off the ground, and took up a position at the rear flank, essentially pinning the Baiter between a triangle of cores.
Immediately its body started to glow a green hue, and a slight green mist started to surround its body, before ultimately two blades of pure green energy faded into existence within the hands of the floating core. It was clearly ready for combat.

Turn 1
After he asked his question, the gorilla sized core allowed his body to ready itself for battle. Certain sections of his body shifted to allow for more fluid movement on the ground, and electricity started sparking across the whole of his body. Not enough to be dangerous, not by any means, but enough to add a very intimidating aura around the creature, something it was clearly used to using.
As it was finishing up getting ready, which didn't take very long in fact, something ridiculously fast came into focus. It caused a brief moment of worry, because the Primal Frame knew it was good at one on one, but one on two would be a stretch. Imagine his pleasant surprise when he felt his body become more sturdy. This was a fellow core, come to fight at his side, and a stronger one at that. They would make mincemeat of this pathetic little rat.
However, before the trigger could be pulled, yet another core appeared in the area, and the Primal Frame's beast-like face twisted into a decent looking cruel smirk. They had this in the bag, it went without question. So, regardless of whether the runty Baiter replied or not, it was going to start this fight!
With an enormous blast of steam from the pipe looking extensions from its shoulder, which had shifted to the back of his arm, it shot forward faster than one might expect something of his size to move, the ground seemingly flowing underneath him instead of him over it. Obviously the steam was propelling it forward, and with its fist pulled back it looked like its attack was going to be a super predictable, direct attack. What one might not expect, however, was the giant ape shaped core to stop just shy of reached the Baiter and slamming its fist into the ground with all that force and built up momentum.
The result was a rooster tail effect on the earth, sending dirt and debris rocketing in a cone right at the Baiter. The idea wasn't to hit, but instead cause enough of a distraction that his two new cohorts could get in a decent shot. Though, if the attack did land, all the better.

Immediately the Puma recognized the core it had come across, a Primal Frame. Usually very proud, brass and quick to action. However, they also usually packed a punch, which would be a fantastic addition to its new team. Something it was really looking forward to setting back up. As it was gearing itself up for battle, which was mostly it assessing everything around them, down to the last detail so it could use the environment to the duo's advantage, another core came into the area of influence.
Excitement bled into it at the thought that perhaps getting a team together wasn't going to be as hard as he thought! Better yet, this one was an Illusionist! More often than not annoying in one way or another, they were invaluable for their ability to basically direct the flow of battle with their control over certain toxins. A Primal Frame and an Illusionist! What a great find less than a few hours after his last teams unfortunate demise.
As it was basking in the pleasure of the fact that its team was basically forming right here in front of his eyes, he neglected one small fact. The Primal Frame was not that easy to call to heel. This was made very apparent when the massive core let loose and shot itself forward like a rocket propelled wall of metal. At first it was kind of frustrated, what kind of self-respecting core charges in without a plan?
However, this thought was completely shot in the foot when it saw the end result of the attack. It was a perfect opening move! It served as both an attack, if the Baiter was stupid enough to stand still, and a means of drawing its attention aside so the other two cores had a chance at his back. One the Puma would take without pause.
As soon as the Baiter was in sight, whether it be when the dust settled because she stood still, or when she dodged the attack, the Puma would launch itself right for her with surprising levels of accuracy and speed, considering it would be spinning around in the air like a top. It would twist itself into a dangerous tornado, its whip like appendages flying wildly along with the motion, leaving little room to dodge.
Once it passed her, instead of stopping like one might think, it instead simply turned its momentum. If one were to look close enough they would see that instead of the Puma bouncing off the tree, which is how it appeared, it was actually predicting where it would land and making sure one of its arms was in the right place to turn it in the direction it wanted to go. So, it was no real surprise that this, combined with its speed, had it lined up and attacking Faelan mere seconds after the initial launch.

It was hard to explain the sensation Faelan was currently experiencing. The mask was on his face, but the consciousness of Xiao Feng was already strong enough to appear at the back of his mind without being pushed back or restrained. The two types of will created a sort of calming sensation that resonated throughout his body, while his mind continuously observed and went through several different scenarios. It also gave Fay a second level of protection as he could now access the majority of Xiao Feng memories without the backlash of the aggressive personality and violent corrosive code. At least as long as the mask continued to stay on that is. With a tranquil look in his eyes Fay moved deeper into the forest with each step. As he moved deeper into the forest he suspected that normal people would have a sort of fear of getting lost, but Faelan's new ability allowed him to form a sort of mental map in his head of the entire area around him and the areas that he had traveled. So he continued to move without fear, that was until a large hulking figured appeared in his direct line of sight. The tension in the air was turned up a notch with the appearance of this tank like ape. Still Fay's gaze did not change with the new appearance, it was still as calm and without worry.
"What's a runty little s**t like yourself doing here?" Silence only followed after the statement. Fay only gave the ape a slight glance before continuing to look around the area. In a short breath of time another enemy had already appeared. "Allow me to assist you brother." The voice of the mutilated panther like creature was extremely jumbled, but Faelan was able to make out enough to piece together the sentence at least. In another breath of time there was yet another enemy within Fay's field of view. Slightly narrowing his gaze Faelan began to size up each enemy in front of him.
The first enemy, a large and mostly metallic ape, didn't give him any pressure at all. If it was the Faelan of a couple of days ago then he might have had a hard time dealing with the ape, but the current Faelan didn't even look twice at this sort of attack. It was simply cannon fodder. The second enemy was slightly different. It was a mutated cat like animal that seemed to have two long tail like objects coming out of it's body. A simple glace at the two steel whip like tails let Fay know that this enemy was not simple. The second enemy was strong, but Fay had a high level of certainty he take it on even if it had help. The third enemy was a bit odd, but like the first enemy it simply gave no pressure at all as it stood their in front of him. All in all this was a fight that Faelan didn't need to run away from. Still this wasn't the mission he was given. He was only sent out here to investigate the various odd happening of the forest, and not to kill enemies. So if possible he didn't want to engage in combat.
“You ma-” Before the words could even be finished the Ape had already moved forward and launched an attack. A ruthless light flashed across Fay's eyes. All in all Faelan had no long lasting grudge with the AI. His mother had died as a result of AI yes, but in the end the only reason she had died at the hands of the AI was because of the underhanded methods of the Scarlet Rose Commander. His own Grandmother. After experience such a life shaping cruelty by his own family Faelan's mind had already been driven to a mostly emotionless state when it comes to life and death. Although he didn't hate AI Fay would not accept being threatened, not by anyone. That was his bottom line. Unluckily for these three AI they had just crossed that line. With a single thought, much like the Ape had done, a thin layer of purple lightning had covered his body before he pressed lightly against the ground. This simple motion left a crack in the ground and sent Fay forward with terrifying speed. That single step had actually allowed Fay to arrive at his intended target, the Ape's fist. Even though the creature was rather large, and no doubt powerful, he had a certain level of confidence that he could have easily blocked the punch, but that was not his goal. Instead Faelan had landed atop the moving fist before launching himself into the air by using the back of the Ape's hand as a springboard. Just after the Ape's fist hit the ground creating a huge shock wave Faelan gracefully landed atop the Ape's shoulder. Giving the Ape a cold sideways glance, “I was going to let you leave, Pity you all have a death wish.” Fay's voice took a hard edge that matched his cold stare. As he had spoken his eyes shifted from the Ape to the Puma whom had thought to take the chance to attack as well, but unluckily for the Cat like AI he was no longer within the area it thought he was. Instead Fay had taken up a stance atop its own comrade and so it could not attack him without attacking its own comrade as well. Fay shifted his eyes to the floating green core that had shown up last. “You can still run, but your fate is sealed. You can only blame your two friends, and your own judgment. I am truly sorry.” Faelan was a person that was willing to inflict great harm upon himself to get what he wanted, and so it had to be known his method of dealing with others would be as equally ruthless. The moment the floating core had chosen to join the fight it had chosen the path to its own death.
Since everything that needed to be said had been said it was now time for Faelan to act. After all Fay doubted that the Ape was just going to be willing to let him stand here for longer. In a flash a pair of black leather-like gloves appeared upon Faelan's hands. These were precisely the pair of metal fiber gloves he had crafted earlier. Leaning his body to the side slightly he allowed gravity take its natural course. Clenching his left hand and drawing it back as he fell Faelan executed a very simple punch towards the jaw of the Ape as he fell. A thin layer of purple electricity arcing from his fist as it flew. This was only his first attack. If it connected, or even if it didn't, Faelan would follow up with three more consecutive attacks towards the Ape. All of the attacks being simple punches. As Fay truly did not hold the Ape in any high regard to put any type of technique into his attacks. The second attack would be a simple follow up attack towards the other side of the Ape's jaw, but the next attack would switch from the face to the abdomen. While the last attack would target one of the Ape's knees, which ever one was close to him at the time. After all for such a large enemy, if it was to loose a bit of mobility it could be disastrous for it.

Turn 1
It tilted its head in a mockery of human like curiosity, its pupil-less white eyes staring blankly at the scene before it. It had randomly wandered into this clearing, and due to the way it lived its life, it had no regrets, but there was a certain something within it that was telling it that this Baiter was no joke. Especially if her initial reaction to being essentially surrounded was anything to go by. Numbers were still on their side though, and that's what ultimately mattered.
However, it wasn't about to suddenly charge in there, much like the monkey looking one. It didn't feel like it actually. It wasn't hanging back because it wanted to take time to assess the situation. It wasn't trying to gain some tactical edge with its actions, nor trying for better placement. If asked, its answer would honestly be, it just didn't feel like it at the time.
The reward was immediately visible. Somehow the Primal Frame and the Puma collaborated somehow, well enough to set up an assault under their combined efforts. The plan was genius, on paper at least, in practice it seemed as though they couldn't have been more wrong. The monkey was too slow, and the Puma missed by a mile. They might as well have gone in blind.
Its head tilted to the other side as it watched the result. The Baiter landed on the fist of the clearly stupid monkey, and rode it like the attack meant nothing. She then went on to attack the monkey, using her fists and apparently some form of purple electricity. This, ironically enough, sparked an interest within the Illusionist. It wanted to see that up close.
Its decision made, it focused on the female Baiter, as the green aura that had surrounded it started to thicken and more erratically, instead of the flowing orb it had been before. The floating creature pushed the orb between its hands, pulling it from around its body, before compressing it down into a small orb, however it kept growing spikes at random spots all along its surface.
Suddenly the orb was let loose. It flew at speeds most eyes couldn't see, aimed directly at the ground at the Baiter's feet. Now, here's the kicker about this particular event. It wasn't an attack, oh no, in fact all the Illusionist was doing was loosing its particular brand of hallucinogenic into the air. There was no dodging this effect because it was in the very air around them, and more than that it was able to affect anyone via skin or intake. It didn't last very long though, but it would last long enough for the Illusionists curiosity.
As for what the released poison would do: It would shoot straight for the brain, and produce an image using the afflicted target's own memory banks to do so. This image would be of a person that would affect them the most, superimposed onto the Illusionists body, spewing hateful words at them. So, who and what the Baiter saw and heard would be completely up to them.
There was a second effect from the poison, one that was subtler, yet much more extreme in effect. It happened shortly after the hallucination was set in place, lowering inhibitions a few levels, and increasing the desire to respond violently to the taunting face.
Long story short, this poison was hand crafted to make the affected the Illusionist.

He supposed he shouldn't have been surprised at the failure of his assault, it was rather simple, but that was all it ever needed. Look at him, he's huge, what further solution would you ever need? If his size didn't turn aside foes, his fists took care of them. It was basic, it was simple, and it worked. However, there were those few times that it didn't work outright. For instance, this one, where the puny thing somehow landed on his fist and stayed their despite the speed he was moving, and the strength he put into the blow when the fired it at the ground.
Despite how ridiculous that actually sounded, it was pretty neat to watch.
Then came the counter assault. The puny runt actually had the spine to talk s**t! The words seemed innocent enough, but the Primal Frame could hear the tone, and knew that he was being spoken down too. Like he was a weakling. Like he was nothing. Naturally, that filled the massive monkey core with rage. He wasn't able to dodge the first blow, but luckily for him his armor plating took the brunt of the damage, and the electricity was dispersed harmlessly. As the next blow came, the massive core did something rather incredible, as he whipped his massive frame backwards, a feat one might consider near impossible for something of his size.
Unfortunately, this is where his luck ran out.
A third blow came in, fast and under the radar, planting itself firmly in the center of his mass. The giant core's body folded over the fist like a cheap lawn chair, leaving the final target an easy one. The core couldn't hold back a bellow of pain as the fist collided with the side of its knee, likely causing irreparable damage.
Lady luck chose that moment to return to him, for shortly after that blow landed, the Illusionist finally made its presence known, and launched its weird voodoo into the air. This made the Primal Frame feel like he could relax for just a moment, because he had never seen that fail before, thus had no reason to suspect it would now.
He rose himself back to his feet, having fell over when the blow to his leg landed, and winced. Something was definitely wrong with his leg now. He glanced up at the Baiter and growled low, he didn't care if it was basically a cheap shot, he was going to take it. So, he reared up with a roar, and charged forward, intent on fusing his shoulder with the Baiter's stomach, his fists helping to push him forward this time. He looked every bit the gorilla his body was based off of.

Turn 2
It was absolutely shocked! It couldn't believe that the plan had failed so miserably! They didn't land even one blow on the single opponent! Their attack, while lacking any previous planning, had been flawless! How could they have messed it up?!
It slowed its spinning to a stop, stopping nearly flawlessly on the ground, only a small amount of dust being picked up by its excess speed. What had even happened? The best it could guess from what it was seeing, the Baiter was faster than they had initially thought, for not only had it dodged the attack of the Primal Frame, it had also completely dodged both of its own strikes, despite its own impressive speed. This meant things might go south again, he might lose another team before it even really began.
He found this thought particularly distasteful, but felt it an almost inevitability once it saw what happened next. The female had managed to dodge the blow, by landing on top of the creature’s fist, regardless of how impossible it actually sounded, and rode it until she decided it was time to attack. The assault was quick, but brutal, dropping the giant core to the ground with a surprising ease. As luck would have it, the Illusionist seemed to want to play ball with the team idea, as it quickly utilized its ability to call attention completely to itself to save the Primal Frame from the fatal ending.
It was now waiting, looking for the best point to go in for its own assault, as it called direct control over the whip like appendages. They slithered up, quite akin to the movement of snakes, and started hovering at close to an eighty-degree angle, ready to strike out at a moment.
With the Illusionist on the defensive for the moment, itself and the Primal Frame would need to work together to win. It was their only chance, and the Puma felt the monkey based core understood that, when it stood still for those few moments. Fate appeared to have other plans though, when the stupid beast charged headlong into the fray again. Once was good fortune, twice was just imbecilic. The only good thing about the creature’s assault, was that the Illusionist had done what it did. This would not end with the death of the Primal Frame, not just yet at least.
There!
It shot forward, a nearly unseen blur, the instant it spotted an opening. When you move as fast as the Puma does, you sort of have to learn to predict where things are moving to determine the best way to attack the target, or get around the obstacle. So, its mind took in the charging idiot, the defensive bait, and the female Baiter's movements, determined where exactly they would go, and then determined the best spot for itself to be. Now, due to the speeds something like this normally moves at, this has to happen quick and be reacted to quicker.
Thus, the end result was the Puma suddenly appearing from the right side of the female Baiter, both of its now snake like appendages snapping forward, one aimed for her throat, the other aimed for her leg. The one aimed at her throat was mostly meant as a distraction, a hopeful way to distract the Baiter long enough for the other strike to land. Either way, the Puma would backtrack rapidly after letting loose these strikes, once more putting distance between itself and this fight. This was how it fought, carefully and from the sidelines.

The sound of metal against metal rang out as Faelan's fist collided against the knee of the metal Ape. The strike had been a simple one, as Fay did not care to expend too much energy fighting the weak, but it was clear that the Ape would not be able to take another strike; casual or not. A weird thing had been happening from the beginning of this fight. Well perhaps it had happened even before then, but now was the first time it had been. Normally as Faelan fought, at least when masked, his mind would be blank. Emotionless and merciless he usually struck with only the smallest amount of tact, as in its perfect form his fighting style required no actual thought. Now whenever he thought about it a mental map would appear in his head. It contained every detail of the area around him. Not a single blade of grass was missed. As one could imagine it was a handy tool to keep track of your enemies with, and with it the Illusionists attack did not go unnoticed as it was launched just after Fay's fist made contact with the Ape's knee. It was just that there was no actual danger coming from the attack.
The ball of light the Illusionist shot out landed where it intended and a thin line of code and poison entered into Fay's mind stopping him from launching a final assault against the Ape. The only thing was that it didn't work exactly like it intended. When Fay looked upon the Illusionist now only a dark and blurry figure appeared where in its place. The voice that taunted him was corrupted and intelligible. Even though Faelan couldn't tell who the figure was, he could tell that he wanted it dead. The moment of pause seemed to have given the Ape more than enough time to recollect itself as it had already begun to throw itself towards him. Purple lightning flashed across Fay's eyes as he stared coldly at the on coming Ape. When the Ape drew in close enough he finally moved. Fay took two quick steps before launching himself into the air aiming to flip over the Ape. It was then that he felt the Puma finally make its move as well. Aiming for the point where he would land. Unlucky for it Fay was just a bit faster. The moment his feet touched the ground the purple lightning had already covered him once more and he had disappeared from that spot. Effectively dodging both of his enemies attacks.
When Faelan reappeared he had already in front of the Illusionist. The feeling of anger and hatred towards it, though unlike his true feelings of wrath within, made it too hard not to attack. Even though he was under the influence of the Illusionist's code Fay had yet to become mindlessly enraged. After all he still had the half-mask equipped keeping the violent code within his body in check. Quickly Fay moved forward and launched himself into a high flip once more. This time he was not aiming to flip over the core, but simply level his position with it. As he drew to the correct height Fay threw out his leg and aimed the ball of his foot so that it would collide with the back of the floating cores head. It was a seemingly obvious attack, but Fay really wanted to see how it reacted. So the follow up attack would be equally simple. Once his feet touched the ground, whether his attack landed or not, Fay would shoot forward and throw a casual punch towards the Illusionist's mid section. Although the punch had real power behind it, the technique was simple and easy to read. The next attack would be the real hard hitting one. Launching himself upwards Fay aimed to grip the back of the Illusionist's head in order to bring his knee upwards into the Core's face. Much like all of his other attack the purple lightning coated the part of his body making contact with the core making his attacks even more powerful. Faelan was determined to only use his body in this fight, and so far he was not under enough pressure to do otherwise.

Turn 2 100 - ( 86 - 73 =) 13 = 87 87 - 8 (Fae's TA) + 5 (Illusionists TA) = 84% Defense Chance 86 * 5 = 430 73 * 3 = 219 Damage: 211
The thing seemed to operate on pure whim. There was no urgency, no intensity, just a simple existence, present and aware. It had no desire to rush forward to meet its opponent in head on combat. No urge to correlate its assault with the others. Thus it simply floated, staring listlessly at the ongoing battle before it. It would admit to a certain amount of interest being sparked at seeing such a diminutive creature proving to be such a challenge for one vastly superior in size. Not only was she outclassing the ape like machine, she was also standing against the mutated felines speed. Brute strength and pure speed. A great combination.
As soon as the Baiters strike landed on the clearly too slow gorilla core, the interest rose further. This Baiter just took down something far larger with debilitating damage. It was a rather amazing series of events. As soon as the Baiters attention was on the Illusionist, it couldn't help but get just the tiniest amounts of excited. Finally, its curiosity would be satiated.
The Baiter turned her gaze to it, and immediately it could tell something didn't work correctly. This one, instead of going completely berserk like every other target had, maintained some sense of control. It seemed impossible, the poison had worked the same way every time it had been used, and yet somehow this one seemed to brush it off.
On the positive side, it still seemed to draw the attention of the opponent. Their eyes met. Well, not really, in that moment the Illusionist realized the Baiter was afflicted, but not quite to the needed extent. No matter, the result was the desired one, and the Baiter took off. The Illusionist's glowing, empty white eyes watched as the Baiter came right for it. They watched as she dodged the laughably simple assault from the ape. They watched with some interest as she managed to dodge the Puma's surprisingly accurate and quick attack. They watched as she closed in, ready to attack.
In that moment the Illusionist made a decision, and made sure to stay perfectly still. It wanted to know how hard the attacks from this Baiter would hurt. It waited, without nervousness or fear, but instead patience and curiosity.
When the hit landed, the Illusionist found it was not disappointed. The attack jarred it right throughout the entirety of its frame. Everything from its head down to the tassels that made up its lower body seemed to shift with the blow. Deciding it wanted nothing more to do with that kind of damage, the Illusionist thrust itself forward with ease, having a body capable of ignoring gravity certainly made that easy.
Floating several feet away, the Illusionist felt safe enough to turn around, turning its gaze to the opponent at hand. They were turning out to be a lot trickier than one could have originally assumed given their solo status. Perhaps it was time to step it up a notch. The aura from before returned, cycling around its body like an orb of green lights. It lifted its arms like one who might have just drawn a bow, and in a burst of light such an instrument of war appeared, drawn and ready. With just a moment spared to aim, the Illusionist fired the glowing green arrow, aiming for the meat in her shoulder, an attempt to disable one of her limbs.

Turn 3
The attack he had lined up would have been magnificent. He would pick up the runty little Baiter, and then crush it to a fine pulp between his large metal shoulder and one of the many large trees around them. It was a simple, and beautiful plan. Apparently it was the wrong move though. The Primal Frame could feel the disdain from the Puma almost as soon as it started to charge forward, but his rage addled brain simply did not care. He wanted to get back at this puny pseudo-human for every jolt of pain that rocketed up his leg where she landed one of her blows.
What he wasn't expecting, despite the fact that he should have, was her to dodge him with such ease. She made him feel like he wasn't anything more than a nuisance. It was rather aggravating, and he could feel the pride welling up in his chest, causing him to want nothing more than to charge after her blindly again. In fact, he was gearing up to go again, when the whip cords on the Puma's back snapped into sight right in front of him. He paused and turned to look at the odd looking core, which seemed to be glaring at him.
"You blithering idiot! She's now made a fool of you twice, and you'd let her do it again?" The words, while garbled, stuck a cord and the Primal Frame exhaled loudly, and took hold of itself. The Puma went on to explain that it had a plan, and when it explained, he couldn't help but see the merit. The Illusionist had the right idea. She was simply too fast for them to keep coming in at her via melee, so the new plan was go at her ranged, and cut off as much mobility as possible.
The Primal frame stepped forward and lifted his arm up, supporting it with his other massive arm, while closing his hand into a fist. As soon as it had a clear lock on his target, he gave the go ahead to the Puma, which immediately hopped onto his fist and latched itself down with the cords that it was happy to use as weapons, or even arms. With a massive blast of steam in the opposite direction, the fist fired forward like a cannonball, the Puma attached to it flying along as well. While staring at it, one would think that the attack would miss, and this was all just some weird ploy to distract the Baiter. Once it was close enough though, the Puma would leap off and the fist would be redirected towards the Baiter's position, putting the Puma in the air, and the fist flying towards their opponent.
