As a recruit, your job is to do all of the jobs other people don't want to. These may be boring, or dirty, or just plain ridiculous. For those interested in gaining Cred with the medical section of the prison, your job is to keep the medbay stocked and organized. This is a tedious, and thankless job.

Step One: Opening Supply Boxes
All supply boxes are unmarked and in no order. It's your job to open them, and find the supply you were assigned to stock and organize. Good luck - it's a complete mess in the main supply room.

-Roll 20d10
-The first dice decides what you've been assigned to. See the list below. All other dice are your attempts at finding it. You need to find at least one box to continue. If you do not match your first number with any of your other dice, you must continue to roll 20d10s until you do. Each time you must roll to search must have at least 100 word count. Feel free to match to the list of what you did find as flavor texts for your posts.
-You receive 1 bar for attempting this, pass or fail. If you do not pass, you cannot continue on to step 2, and leave with only the 1 bar.

1. List of Supplies:
2. Bandages
3. Syringes
4. Exam Gloves
5. Bedpans
6. Catheters
7. First Aid Kits
8. Disposable exam drape sheets
9. Surgical Scissors
10. Thermometers

Example: I roll 20d10. I get: 5, 6, 8, 10, 5, 8, 5, 7, 6, 5, 2, 5, 3, 8, 5, 4, 4, 2, 4, 1. That first dice is a 5. This means I am in charge of finding bedpans. I now have 19 other chances to find boxes of bedpans, and lo and behold, I found five of them! I take those back to the medbay with me, victorious.

Step Two: Stocking Up
-This is the easy step. Roleplay in a separate post, your character stocking the medbay with the item you've been assigned to. They may go in the supply closet, or in the case of drape sheets, be put directly on the exam tables.
-This post must be separate, and 100 word count minimum.
-You gain 1 bar for this step, and it is mandatory to move on to the next step.

Step Three: Organizing
The supply closet is a complete mess. You can't just leave it the way you found it.
-Roll 2d6. The total of your roll must be between 7 and 12 in order to have completed this task. This post has a minimum word count of 100. You receive 1 bar for attempting it, pass or fail.

Rewards:
In addition to the rewards already listed, if you are successful at all three steps, you are awarded an extra 3 bars. You also receive 25% Medical Cred. If you failed at step three, you only receive 10% Medical Cred. Please keep track of your Cred in your journal! You will need it in order to complete Officer level quests!

Gilda didn't mind stocking the medbay, it meant that she was aware of where all of the important medical supplies were and how much of each was left. It was just unfortunate that in the wake of the outbreak of chaos, whatever semblance of order that had existed in the the medbay had gone completely out of the window. Untrained looters had initially ransacked the area only to sheepishly realise that this was where they needed to be holed up and that all of the items stored there were for a communal benefit. When she was finally able to get a shift in there the entire area was strewn with unmarked and disorganised supply boxed. It was grim and she felt also more than a little wasteful, things would easily get lost or get damaged and would not be close to hand when needed. Deciding where to begin was the first order of business and given the mess of the place was quite a tall order, there was no imminent need for any one thing. After a bit of deliberation, she just got down to it, picking up a box and going with whatever was inside it. It turned out to be thermomoters, her present order of business being to find as many of the things within the time she had and gather them up for use. It was better than nothing and at least she could feel useful in making some minor dent in the disarray.

This was no small task, every box contained something different. The first box contained a set of first aid kits, these were actually rather handy to have and she might well have pocketed one while carefully rearranging them as she sought out her goals. It didn't take her long to find an absolute goldmine of thermometers, nestled away in a corner under a desk, still taped up and dusty, she pulled them out and examined them, finding a mixture of various types, even finding one or two of the rarer temporal thermometers. It was just a pity she thought - as she sifted through several boxes of catheters and bedpans - that they hadn't managed to pin down yet if a change in temperature preceeded the shift in an individual from human to whatever the strange undying creatures were. Still, there was always a need to track fevers and with the world going to hell one step at a time, these artifacts of another era might one day become treasures in a future where no one remembered how to craft complex objects.

In the end after sifting through no end of mess she managed to find four thermometers, carrying them with her as she went to put them in a place where they would be known.

The supply closet was only marginally better than the rest of the medbay and she spent some amount of time reorganising the place before she would surrender her booty to its dark recesses. It took longer than she thought and before long her eyes had adjusted to the darkness within the cupboard. It was almost more comfortable than the stark cold cell with something homey and bookish about the clammy little cupboard. She found herself wishing that Ras was here, starting to genuinely feel the absence of the man when she was away from him, though what use he'd be in simply sorting out the medbay was anyone's business.

If anything he'd likely be more of a distraction than a help.

It took a long time to organise the cupboard, but in the end it was much tidier than it had looked before, though there was still a tremendous amount of work to be done. It was easy to get distracted and far too many times she had found herself daydreaming or re-sorting boxes she already had. It was nice here, compared to the outside and she found herself basking in the last vestiges of normalcy as if they were some brief oasis of respite.

She was almost sad when her shift was over and it was time to go back to the cell. Almost, because at the heart of it, she looked forward to going back to that scruffy loser who had somehow managed to become her companion.
