 Cherubi was ready. She had on one of her best dresses and her hair had be carefully styled into a high ponytail. Most asked her what the big fuss was; did going out material shopping warrant so much fretting over her hair, clothes, and nails? Why, yes it did when it meant going out with a rather cute hybrid!
It wasn't as if Cherubi had ulterior-motives. No. She had invited Conan to help her material search in a genuine need to both spend more time with them and actually get help seeking materials. This wasn't a ploy in any sense. However, she couldn't deny the fact that how absolutely adorable Conan was made her, in-turn, want to look nice. And so she had dolled up, applied the general amount of makeup she always used, and waited at the mall for her companion, tail wagging haphazardly behind her.

Conan had wanted to go to the mall with Cherubi dressed in his usual casual style. However, when he had gone to leave his dorm and his sisters had asked him where he was going, they had both stopped him. Apparently he couldn't go out like that! He had looked down at his jeans and crop top, there wasn't anything wrong with this!
He had lost the fight though, and was dragged back into the dorm and forced to change. Cammy worked on his hair, pulling his bangs back off of his face. While Cammy had worked on his hair Cherish and picked out his clothes. He was given black leggings, a flannel button up to wrap around his waist, and a deep purple v-neck top to wear. He looked at himself in the mirror and couldn't deny that it was a drastic change. Just what did they expect him to get up to? Was...was this a date? He looked to his sisters and saw the smirks on their faces. But...but this was just shopping!
To make matters worse he had shown up a bit later than they had planned. He jogged up to Cherubi's side and than placed his hands on his knees to catch his breathe. "Sorry! My sisters.... He couldn't admit that they had been the ones to dress him up like this. "Needed some help with some choreography." He stood up straight than and got a look at Cherubi. Maybe it wasn't such a bad thing that his sisters had dressed him up more. She looked so cute in that dress!
His tail wagged behind him and he smiled gently at his companion. "You look nice today Cherubi!" Compliments never hurt anyone. Than, because he was a little embarrassed, "So, where shall we begin?" It wasn't like him to be embarrassed! He could easily flirt with other students on campus and he was rarely shy when interacting with a stranger. But somehow Cherubi was different...

Cherubi hadn't expected Conan to come dressed in.... well, that! When she heard his voice she had swiveled around, raised her hand, and froze. She was going to wave, but for a second she had been caught off-guard by the transformation. Oh, that was so much better!
A smile appeared on her face as she watched him catch his breath, tail wagging at the compliment. Oh! "You look nice, too!" She chirped back. If Cherubi said it, then it was true! Everyone knew the woman didn't lie about appearances!
"Okay! We should..... um, are you hungry, first?" She questioned, glancing over him one last time to feed the desire to see him, for once, dressed so charmingly (without her making him!) before she began to rummage in her purse to find the mall map.

Well, a compliment from Cherubi sure was a good thing. Reluctantly he reminded himself that he'd have to thank his sister for his transformation later. Even if they had basically forced him into changing his outfit, they wouldn't let him leave! Well, for once he could be thankful that Cammy was so absolutely stubborn. "Thank you." He finally managed to reply to her compliment.
He considered her offer for food for just a second before nodding, he really hadn't had much to eat yet that day, just small things for breakfast and lunch. He had a pretty bad habit of getting distracted with his music or schoolwork and neglecting eating properly. Something Cherish bugged him about constantly...
"Yeah, I could grab some grub." Her waiting for her to rummage around in her purse. All the while he tail wagged gently behind him. He couldn't help but be excited, he was spending some quality -alone- time with Cherubi...and she was so cute. He made sure to hide his plush be the time she looked up again.

 She waved gently at his thanks, giving an expression that read 'no problem'. When he seemed to agree to finding food she immediately beamed, finally pulling out the mall map and tapping her nail against the section where plenty of food booths were. Alright! They had a bunch of options, score. She turned around, tapping him with her shoulder playfully before skipping off towards where they needed to be.
"Kay~ Food is this way, then!" She couldn't help but swing her tail with her hips, humming faintly under her breath. This was their first time outside together. No one to interrupt them. Not a thing to do other than grab their materials after food. No one could stop them today!

Conan leaned over to peer at the map as Cherubi pulled it out. This was really quite the big place. He'd been around a couple of times before, but he spent most of his time in the Music room. He tended to let his sisters do all of the shopping for him. Sometimes that worked better than others and he'd go out to pick up things on his own from time to time. He smirked a bit when she playfully shoulder-bumped him. Ah, she was adorable, but dang could she skip pretty fast. Probably had something to do with those long legs of hers...
He jogged along after her, a little too embarrassed to skip in public the way she was. But she looked kind of cute, especially from this angle...He tried to hide his blush by the time he caught up to her. "So what are you in the mood for?" Conan wasn't a peaky eater by any means, he'd probably be happy with just about any option she gave him.

Conan was lucky she wasn't particularly observant, as she didn't even notice the blush when she whipped around to abruptly view him.
"HMMMM." She hummed dramatically, pausing her skipping in favor of not tripping and making a fool of herself in-front of Conan. Food choices, hmmm. Nothing messy.... that'd end up a disaster right in-front of Conan. Though, she could do for some pizza, really. Tilting her head side to side, the Chimera finally settled, turning right back around to continue her skipping.
"Pizza." She stated, stopping only when they reached the food court. The energetic little lady turned around, hands held behind her back as she waited for him to catch up.

Cherubi was always surprising him, when she abruptly turned around to face him he turned his head to the side for just a moment to collect himself. If he hadn't he was sure she'd catch him with some sort of silly grin on his face. That skipping was just too adorable. She didn't answer him right away however and just continued her skipping before long. He didn't exactly want to skip after her, but he did pick up the pace a bit in order to keep up.
She only stopped once they reached the food court and announced her desire for Pizza. Ah, that was always a found choice. It could be a little messy, but Conan would just watch to make sure he didn't get any of it on him. Hopefully this would go smoothly. Someone he was able to eat with making a mess when he was alone, but for some reason he was worried about it with Cherubi around.
"Pizza sounds like a good choice!" He reached out to take her hand and lead her over to the Pizza joint in the mall food court. It did smell good and while he waited in line he held onto Cherubi's hand. "Go ahead and pick out what you want. The food's on me."

Of course it was a good choice! They were young adults, and pizza was the ultimate food choice for someone their age! Cherubi had been about to turn around and skip right into the line when her hand was touched, head tilting backwards to spot their hands intertwined. Oh. Oh, that was.... that was nice. She couldn't help but squeeze his hand, looking up at him with a wide smile and flushed cheeks.
"Really?" Little did he know, the way to her heart was through food! She didn't question further, glancing over the menu before settling on a cheese pizza with extra sauce, basil, mozzarella, and tomatoes.
"What are you getting?" She chirped, realizing this was the first time they ever had gone out to eat together. Next time it would have to be her treat! It wasn't like she spent the academy's allowance all at once (despite how sometimes she wanted to). They could go on a nice da- adventure together.
