Terror slowly took hold of the young cub's heart and mind as he carefully wandered the halls, which were more like endless tunnels to outsiders of the Dark Tribe, of the place he had called his home since his creation. His paws stepped quietly as his eyes wandered from fire lit wall to fire lit wall, trying to find any sign of something that looked familiar to him. On top of that, with ears perked high, the young cub was also trying his best to avoid the gaze of anyone whom would run to his parents to report his wandering. After all, he should not even be outside of his parents' gazes in the first place. But then again. Trevor did not even want to admit to his situation, the fact that he was lost.
He did not want to find himself under the angry glaze of his father, nor the disapproving one of his mother. He did not want to hear works of disappointment, nor the taunts of his brother whom would never allow him to live this moment down if he caught wind of it. It was just too much for a young cub to handle.
To believe that just moments ago the young prince had been so proud of the fact that he had managed to quietly escape from under the watchful eyes of his parents. It was not an easy task, not in the least. And to think he had managed to do such a feat without the aid of his more weaselly brother. HA! Well who was the better brother now? Him, that's who, if he would find a way to fix his predicament anyway.
He remembered being able to sneak away when his parents had to turn away for a few moments due to some matters of importance. He did not bother memorizing the details of it all. It was all adult stuff anyway. Some mumbo jumbo about visitors and something called a "party" or "ball". He did not know. He did not wants to know. What he did know was now, now he was not sure that sneaking away from his parents was the wisest of decisions, especially when he did not have the company of his brother Alucard, or some other partner in crime. It certainly did not help that he was sure he would be scolded once his parents found him.
Trevor's body sat low to the ground as he quietly adventured on. His ears flopped down against his head while his eyes sat wide and alert. Confusion and fear painted his face as his mouth hung open just a bit. The littler cub carefully crawled along the ground in hopes of staying hidden from the world. He need not be caught after all. All he needed to do was get his barrings and hopefully. hopefully he would be able to find his way back to familiar grounds.
It did not take him long to figure out, from the look of the area ahead of him, that he was approaching a more open area of the Dark Tribe territory. Something about the area seemed familiar, but he could not quite put his paw on it. Had he visited this area before with his father? Or maybe it was his brother whom had dragged him out here. Oh, it would be so much easier for him if he could see in the dark like his father and brother. Sure, he had his orb which helped a bit, but without any type of "night sense" he could not quiet make out all the shapes in the dark. Not to mention his orb was useless unless he napped in the sun with his mother. Huff on the dark tribe genes! HUFF ON THEM!
"Tch, darn Alucard and his special eyes! Huff!", the young cub grumbled to himself as he carefully crawled his way into the open. From what he could make out in the dark, there seemed to be some kind of door, doors?, ahead of him.
As he approached he could clearly see that the doors sat slightly ajar, as if someone he just entered recently, or maybe exited? I did not matter! What did matter was it meant he could possibly find his way back and stay out of trouble!
Quickly, Trevor bolted for the doors and just as he moved to slip in something stopped him. Should he really enter an area he knew nothing about, even if it all seemed slightly familiar? What if something that would get him in even more trouble sat within? Something like a friend of his parents or some kind of trap like in his father's tales!?
Maybe, maybe it would be best for him to turn back and explore a bit more, see if something that was truly familiar sat further ahead. Maybe he could turn around and retrace his steps somehow. No, no he had to enter! He had to be brave like the heros in the stories were! He was no mouse after all! If another B'alam was in the room then surely he could get away with saying he lost track of his parents and get directions back. Yes! Yes! That would work perfectly! Truly, he was a genius cub! Way smarter than Alucard!
With true cub speed he scampered into the room with all the bravery he could muster within him. And just as quickly as he brought it all forward...it collapsed in a messy little pile.
With a squeak of terror, Trevor found himself tripping on the floor and rolling down what seemed to him to be an endless incline of trauma and regret. Who in their right mind chose to have the floor be a slope in such a manner!? Someone sadistic and with a hatred of those with tiny legs and giant paws that's who!
Oh, the world was spinning. His morning breakfast was starting to churn and work its way up! Head, back, butt. Head, back, butt. It was all too much for his young mind. This was going to be it for him. This is how he would spend the rest of his life was punishment for his bad deeds. He would never be able to say goodbye to his family.
The world was spinning in an endless cycle, and though he could not see much of it it didn't make the experience any less dizzying. And then, a bang and pain.
"....tch"
He didn't know what hurt worse, his head or his back? It didn't matter, because at that moment he felt tears escaping and his throat clenching until...
"Papa!"

Chronos had been spending most of the past hour quietly working on plans for the upcoming event. The dark's season was coming up and he had managed to get behind in some planning. Not that he minded. Him and Hook had fun discovering new resources. Some greatly aided the dark tribe in many ways.
Hook wasn't present, which dulled things down a bit. It seemed as though the entire cave was on a stand-still. No adventures, just work.
Chronos released a soft sigh as he glanced over the ink-covered parchment. He was trying to design a puppet based on a bizarre creature he had thought of one day while watching a bolf. He had space watching it scurry about after awakening for the first time...
It felt as if he had woken for the first time. He had been ascended for a while now and he was still adjusting to some of the changes. Being taller was one of the many new things. Not nearly on par with Gabriel's height, but a great deal taller than he was before his confrontation with Cain.
"...hmn..." He hummed to the sudden small cry for 'Papa'.
Immediately he turned from his work and headed toward the theater. Bright pink eyes widened as he scoped the seemingly empty theater. Than, as he looked down, his breath held in his mouth.
"Young Lord?" He breathed as he caught sight of the cub by the front of the stage. Before that breath even left his mouth he lept from the stage and begun to approach Gabriel's beloved Son. "What happened?"
What was he doing here... alone?!

It was all so disorientating for the little cub. The world swirled around him like a fish chaotically swimming around in a small puddle. Heck, the world looked similar to staring up from within a lake. Just swirling and whirling round and round. When it would stop, well, Trevor did not know, but he hoped it would be sometime soon, because all the movement was really hurting his head.
Within the darkness, Trevor could just barely pick up on the sound of large paws gliding along the ground. It was clear the someone large, certainly not as large as his father, but still a considerable size, was entering the massive room, which meant that they either heard his cry, or felt his presence in the area. Oh, just the thought of another B'alam finding him, someone outside of his parents or their help, though he was still scared of the thought of his own parents finding him, brought panic to his small heart and mind. Even then he could not bring himself to run and hide, at least not well given that the world was still spinning, though not as violently as moments before.
With his heartbeat accelerating and his mind running as a mile a minute, his tiny paws flailing every which way in an attempt to correct his position so he was ready to flee. It was then that sweet words hit his ear.
Young Lord. That was him, if he remembered right. Others around the tribe would refer to him as such, even when they knew his name. He didn't completely understand the meaning around the title, but apparently it was just proper for others to call him such. More adult mumbo jumbo stuff he did not wish to try and understand for now.
Whimpering in fear, Trevor slowly opened an eye in an attempt to get a look as the approaching stranger, or at least as much of the stranger that he could make out in the darkness. Eyes darting around, it was not long before he caught the sight of bright pink eyes piercing the shadows to stare him down. If his heart was beating fast before, then it was about to pop out of his chest now. It did not help that he could faintly make out the outline of the stranger and see that he was about the size of his father, with eyes that seemed to be looking into his soul, bringing forward his sins, his lies.
Holding his breath, Trevor stared back in silence for a moment. It was then that his young cub mind jumped to the conclusion that the stranger knew. HE KNEW! BY THE GRAND WEAVER THE STRANGER KNEW, AND HE WAS GOING TO DRAG HIS CUB BUTT BACK TO HIS PARENTS FOR PUNISHMENT!
"..."
It seemed to all finally crack from within him. His breathing seemed to stop for a moment, and chest felt like it was tightening by the second. It was then that the the young lord's panic started to erupt from within him. A scream escape from his small maw as he quickly shot up and ran off like a bat out of a cave for the start of the feasting hour.
He could not allow himself to be found. He could not allow himself to be caught. He could be punished so severely by his parents. He would find nothing put anger and disappointment within his parents' eyes, and that is what would hurt Trevor the most. He could not afford to disappoint his parents. He could not afford to give his brother something to tease him over for all of eternity. He just could not! NOT! NOT!
"NO! NO! NO! I CAN'T!" Trevor screamed out while shaking his head in protest as he ran off in a random direction.
It was probably not the brightest of ideas to start running around an area he did not know that well, especially in darkness, but that did not matter to him at the moment. He just needed to get as far away as possible as quickly as possible. Sure, Trevor has zero idea of where he was running to exactly, or if the room was even an ideal place to hide in the first place, but he had to try in order to save his hide.
In all the panic he would no tell which way he was running, or which way he should be running. Should be be running left? Should he be running right? Did he pass the exit without realizing it? Oh there was just so much confusion in his mind. He entered the area from some point, so there had to be an exit. He just had to find it, somehow. Oh gosh, why could there not be some kind of shining light to show him the way out? Because life was just so mean to tiny little cubs like him. THE WORLD WAS OBVIOUSLY PUNISHING HIM! SO MEAN!
All he wanted to do was run out of the room and towards freedom. He just wanted to find his way back to a familiar area and back towards his parents, or someone he recognized. Was that too much for a young cub to ask? Oh, why. Why did he have to get himself into this situation? Why did he have to make a stupid move and wander away? Trevor thought himself smart and brave for doing that, but now he was beginning to realize how stupid it all was.
'Have to get out. Have to get out. Have to get out.'
That thought was quickly smashed from Trevor's mind as he ran into what he could only guess to be a wall. Pain once again radiated through his head and neck, and it was then he could feel droplets of something wet collecting around the edges of his eyes, making his vision blur a bit.
Oh no, what was happening? Why was there water leaking from his eyes? Did him running into the wall cause him to break his face? Oh no, he had to be broken! Why else would he be leaking? Oh, would his parents get rid of him because of this? Would they even want to raise a broken cub? No parent would want a child that is broken! Oh no! Oh no!
His parents would find him broken and leaking, scold him and then surely kick him out of the tribe! He would be left to fend for himself as a broken little cub wandering the cold cold world!
He could not hold it in anymore. With that though Trevor started wailing and more tears started flowing.
"I don't want to be broken!"

Chronos could only watch as the young Lord ran about frantically as like a puppet on stage. Had it been any other cub he didn't know the sight may have been funny. The kind of funny you could express out loud. Instead Chronos watched him dart right into the wall and begin to cry.
From that point it was mere seconds afterward that Chronos launched himself from the stage and glided down into the house.
Gabriel was not going to be happy about this. How and why had this young cub wandered all the way down here alone?! And now he was crying.
"Broken?" Chronos repeated. His mind scrambling to think of something to calm the young cub down.
All of his toys were back in the shop and would require he walk away to obtain them. At this point it would be foolish to leave the young Lord alone. He could easily wander off again. This time to a dangerous place... like Xibaliba's lair. Or he could luck out and would be in the company of La Muerte. Life was a big chance.
Chronos landed a little ways away from the crying cub and made a careful approach. His head lowered to be at eye level with the young one.
"I see nothing broken Young Lord. Only slight leak."
Still, Chronos scanned every inch of the cub to be sure that NOTHING was broken as claimed. Better safe than sorry.
Maybe this young one would like to look at a disembodied hand. That was always amusing.

How could he have been so stupid as to allow himself to get into a situation such as this? Oh right, he had been a stupid little cub who dared not to listen to his parents' endless warnings. If only he had chosen to stay at his mother's side instead of wandering off to go find adventure as his brother always seemed to talk about in seemingly endless chatter. And what did his wandering get him? Lost. It got him lost! Oh, not only lost, he had been caught by some big monster B'alam thing! Oh! And not only had he gotten lost and been caught, but he broke himself! He broke himself and now he was leaking everywhere! Some adventure he was having...
The Young Lord's so called adventure could easily be compared to some poor tiny island being bombarded with one natural disaster after another. It would all start off normally of course with some light rainfall turning into a storm, but that is no big deal of course. Storms as a normal part of the weather cycle. But then the creatures of the island start to worry as the storm seems to be getting worse by the day, and it shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. And eventually the storm creates floods, but that is nothing the creatures of the island cannot handle. It is just excess water. It is nothing be to worried about, right? Eventually the water would find its way back towards the ocean, or the sun would make it disappear.
But then things get a tad worse. Okay maybe not a tad worse, but that would depend on which creature you are talking to at the moment. Then again, what creature would look fondly to the Earth beneath them starting to shake worse than a stampede of frightened floofalo? Except a stampede of frightened floofalo do not cause the Earth beneath them to crack worse than a walnut under a rock. Nor do they cause the mountains to tumble and the trees to fall. But that is okay, right? Eventually the Weaver would heal the Earth. Plus, at least the cracks in the ground took in the excess water.
But that is not the end of the comparison, oh no. Because after the Earthquake comes a volcano. But wait, where did the volcano even come from?! The island had no such natural dangerous beauty before? Well too bad, so sad for the creatures of the island, no? So yes, the mystical volcano that erupts not even an hour after the Earthquake, because life is just unfair like that.
So yes, Trevor's adventure, to this point, has been nothing more than one boulder tumbling down a mountain after another. At this point he was ready to finally hit the ground.
A whimper escaped from the cub as the larger B'alam approached him. He hoped with all his might that the approach was not to punish him or yell at him, so it came at a great surprise and relief when the other spoke to him with care and kindness. Maybe this one really wanted to help him out after all.
"B-but...," Trevor sadly mumbled while working to twist himself back onto his paws. "this stuff, it is..."
It was then that the Young Lord carefully raised a paw to whip the mysterious wetness from his eyes. The wetness did not seem to harm him in any certain way. Really, it felt like nothing more than water leaking from his eyes. But then again, why would water be leaking from his eyes if he was not broken in any shape or form. After all, he did just run into a wall, which caused a great amount of pain, which caused the water to leak from his eyes, so how could he NOT be broken in any manner? It made little sense in the cub's mind.
"If I am not broken," Trevor spoke while turning his confused gaze towards the Magus, "then why am I leaking? Is something else wrong with me!? It is nothing bad, right?"
Not being broken was a comforting thought indeed, but the though that something else might be wrong with him frightened him to the core. How could he possibly explain to his parents that he harmed himself in some other manner after breaking one of their rules? Oh, he was going to be in so much trouble when his parents found out. Well, they most likely already did find out he wandered off, but when they finally tracked him down, oh Weaver... They would most likely take away his dessert! OH THE HORROR!
But then...
Trevor's eyes slowly widened in horror, and he quickly scampered towards the Magus to paw at one of his long legs.
"You are not going to tell my father that I am here, are you? He cannot find out! He just cannot! I will be in so much trouble if he does find out. He...he...he will do horrible things to me! L-like take away my dessert! Or tell me I am not allowed to leave the garden until I have learned my lesson! Or,"
It was then that the young cub's ears slowly dropped and, if they even could, his eyes widened even further. "O-or worse, he will give me one of his long talks that seem to go on forever...and ever...and ever, and if I get bored he will start all over again."
Trevor carefully removed his tiny paws from the way larger B'alam's leg and sat back on the ground. What was he supposed to do now? Maybe he could continue to hide out in the theater until dinner time. No, by dinner time he parents would be even angrier at him. He had to do something though. He could not hide out forever, at least not in any sane manner of course. He would quickly grow bored after a day or two. Bored and hungry.
"So, what are you going to do with me?"

Truly this was a dire predicament for the cub to be entangled in. Chronos could think of all the adult punishments that would befall anyone harboring the young prince, but those were not things he would dare share with one so young. Yes, the disembodied head would have been a much better alternative to that.
"Oh, weaver no. We cannot have you loosing out on dessert." Chronos gasped to the young cub's blight. He held his paws still so the cub could continue to use them as a support pillar in such a dire time.
Despite wanting to chuckle at the rest of the young cub's plight, he held that inwardly and continued to mirror a concerned expression. Lord Gabriel talking on and on? How that must be torture to a young cub. Yet amusing to picture. He had a hard time getting two words from the dark Magus.
"I know La Muerte herself would not allow a cub to go without such a necessity. Between you and me-" Chronos lowered to his elbows so he could whisper clearly to the cub. His eyes shifted around the room before he focused back on the cub and continued in a low whisper. "-I keep some of them in my secret work shop."
Which, really was a secret. Only Hook and Gabriel seemed to know where it was. Oh and Toothless... possibly Xibaliba if he bothered. But the really fun part of the workshop was quite exclusive.
"Though, your father may be looking for you. And if he is found here without so much as a word, you danger might extend past lectures and no dessert. I dare say I will go to an early bed time as well. Perhaps even... a lonely sit in a boring corner... I would not wish that on any cub."
Chronos paused in thought. "But what shall we do indeed. It would be bad form to turn you in when you are so unwilling. What do you propose we do?"
