Lorena was used to scavenging, she did it daily. So scavenging a supply building couldn’t be hard right? The person who was taking care of her tugged her along so they could get to the building while avoiding the undying. So far they’d made it there without any incident and they both planned on keeping it that way. Her partner wasn’t very talkative and Lorena wasn’t exactly in a talkative mood either. Her head was still hurting and she couldn’t see a thing and while it would have rendered anyone completely useless, Lorena had decided not to be a burden.

Once in the building, her partner took her to an area and let her go about her own business while she was close by searching in her own section. Moving along the shelves and such Lorena moved down touching things as she went, but there really didn’t seem to be anything worthwhile. A lot of people had already passed through here, she didn’t even know if they’d find anything. Her hands touched air which signaled the end of the shelf and she moved to the wall which ended up being a door. Her hands found the door knob, tuned but found it was locked. Lorena moved on.

A sound caught her attention and Lorena froze in place, her partner told her not to worry and she continued to move. Her hands found a bit of loose change, not even enough to get anything out of a vending machine. She didn’t even bother pocketing the stuff and moved on. Her hands touched something furry and then she was hissed at. Lorena moved away and yelped as her hand was smacked with a paw. The unfriendly cat had scared her, but seemed to have moved on. Lorena took in a deep breath and continued.

Again, Lorena touched but found nothing useful. She again found some loose change and left it where it was. She didn’t want to walk around with some jingling money in her pocket to attract the undying. Her partner grabbed her arm; it was time to go there was nothing left here for them. She was glad to get out of the building and return to report in. It sucked reporting having found nothing, maybe if she’d had her eyes things would have been different… Ah well, better luck next time. If there was a next time, she didn’t know how long her eyesight would take to return or if it would at all.
