She pulled herself away from the rest of her group long enough to do some scouting around a nearby office building. It helped her feel a little less useless, even if she had to admit to herself that it was probably an unnecessary risk to do it by herself. But this couldn't be too dangerous, right? Right?

Right.

She wanted to pet the stray cat she came across through her exploration, but decided that another open wound wasn't really worth the risk as it gave her a sour look and hunched its back. Ruia wasn't wanting to wait around for the hiss, either, and was already turning away as the cat put its ears back at her. Well, that was a hopeful sign, right? If there was a cat, then hopefully the area was relatively safe, because surely a cat wouldn't stay where it was dangerous.

Oh, okay.

She was wrong.

Ruia supposed that her instinct to freeze as she turned the corner was what kept the undying from noticing her. She whipped back around the corner from whence she came, shivering a little as the adrenaline rushed through her. Once again she found herself wishing fervently for a weapon. However, she didn't get too much chance to ponder that as another undying started coming from around an aisle. Ruia dropped to the floor as quickly and quietly as she could. The room spun for a moment, so she pressed herself against the filthy linoleum and tried to steady her breathing and stomach. It would do no good to call attention to herself by throwing up all over the place.

Once she felt she could handle it, she gave the nearby undying a wide berth as she crawled away on her stomach. Luckily, it didn't seem to notice her. Once she felt safe enough, she climbed carefully back to her feet and continued her search. Nothing of any actual worth revealed itself to her, though she did come across a locked door. Wishing she had a lockpick or simply something heavy enough to bash it in--though that came with the risk of attracting those undying--Ruia cursed her shod luck at finding anything useful in this store and made her way back out of it.

Reporting to the bandit she had met up with, Ruia left the premises.
