Seeing as how Ellie had successfully scavenged through Stables without encountering a single Infected or Undying, one of the Harbingers thought she might be up for something more challenging.

He told her about the Radio Tower and how it was swaming with Infected, then asked her to see if she could connect to the outside world. Nodding, Ellie eagerly heads for the Radio Tower! To communicate with the outside world... That would ve wonderful! However upon arrival, she found the Harbinger wasn't kidding about the infected... Frowning softly, Ellie crouches down and creeps from shadow to shadow.

Her orange and brown clothes weren't exactly... Great for stealth... But, she'd learned to deal with that. And, it was getting towards dark, that helped to.

Silently, she sneaks inside and down the long hall. The stench of rot and chilling groans lingered all around her... She wished now she'd brought her face mask... Though maybe not... The money, the change, even the bottle of water she'd brought with her, all seemed to make noise when she moved... Fortunately, she kept her hand on the bag and it seemed to quite the noisy objects enough so they didn't give her away.

Finally, once she reached the top of the Radio Tower, she quickly runs into the communications room and shuts the door! Though, she did so as quietly as she could so not to draw unwanted attention...

She listened to the message all the way through, just incase it was important somehow. However, by the end she was left disappointed...

Frowning deeper, she messes with a few more dials and buttons in hopes of getting something better. Alas, once again she got the same emergency message... She almost decided to leave then, but... She'd been asked to do something important... She didn't want to disappoint again... Finally, she nods determinedly to herself and begins messing about the buttons and dials with new gusto!

Eventually, after facing a lot of static, something comes in! A voice! But... It was muffled... However, the fact that it wasn't a recording filled Ellie with hope! Gently, she starts tweaking little things, moving this dial slightly, pressing that button, turning this wheel, until finally something came in loud and mostly clear!

Quickly, she whips out paper and a pencil. It hurt to write, oh did it hurt, what with her broken arm, but she needed to get this stuff down! So she bared the pain and began jotting down what she heard. The voice spoke of dropping supplies by air and that they were running out of helicopters... So that's why that supply box was there! When it got to the words, "Seven Days" it caused her to pause... She'd heard the rumor, seen the hope it gave, but to actually hear those words with her own ears? It caused the shy, brown, haired girl to smile softly as tears well up in her eyes... It was true... They really would be saved in seven days!

This reinvigorated her with new hope! Smiling brightly, she carefully leaves the Infected infested Radio Tower before reporting back to the Harbinger. He seemed very pleased with her results and even gave her a random piece of clothing! "T-thank you!" She exclaims as the clothing was given to her which causes the rugged bandit to grin a bit. "Ya did good kid! Now, I suggest you go home back to your base 'n find some rest. That arm o' yours can't be feelin' good. Oh! But befere ya go to sleep, I think ya should write yourself a log of 'hat's happen to ya since Day Zero. Some o' the other members might reward ya fer it! Remember, knowledge is power!" The bandit says before patting her on the shoulder.

Smiling shyly, she nods and leaves the makeshift tent. As she stands there, she looks over her arm and frowns softly. Her arm really was starting to hurt... It probably was time to go home...
