Create either an INTERVIEW ORP (where you can quote either other to interview) OR a INTERVIEW PRP interviewing two other people from factions NOT YOUR OWN (you can also create two separate interview rps, one for each person!) You must ask them a list of any of the questions below and then record the answers ICly. The format should be: question -> answer from player -> write it down (interview summary) -> interview complete, though you are free to just PRP it out with the player for a bit or ask more questions, or make up questions afterwards to ask of your own!
All interviews take place in a secluded area away from mobs. Think of it as a great way to know players from other factions without fighting in boss encounters!
Answers may not be answered sarcastically or they do not (icly!) count.
1) What did you do prior to Day Zero? 2) What is your secret to surviving? 3) What do you think caused Day Zero? 4) You are attacked by one of the undying. You lose function of both your legs and will never walk again. Would you rather put yourself out of your misery or survive knowing you will die soon in the future? 5) What use do you personally think you have towards your faction? 6) Do you think you will be rescued? 7). What qualities do you think you bring forward if you had to lead? cool What the major problem to surviving Day Zero? 9) Describe your family. 10) Describe yourself 11) Describe your weapon of choice 12) What is more important to you - knowledge or physical power and why? 13) You find the way out of the city but are heavily infected. Would you still leave? 14) If your best friend had the cure to the infection but it required heavily dissecting them would you do it? 15) Describe what you would do if you were rescued.

The bad news was this: Austin had a broken jaw, swollen and bruised, bad enough that his eyes had a sunken quality and he had started to go just a bit snuffly. It made his usually-pouting, usually-appealing mouth into something too plump and too fragile. It meant that he couldn't speak, or didn't dare, because moving his jaw that much sent a shot of pain up through his vision and digging in at his temples.
The good news was this: in his scavenging at the university, he'd managed to pocket a good handful of pens, most of them more than half full, and some of them completely unused. In his scavenging at the office store, he'd managed to grab a great stack of papers [which had horrible pictures of people being stabbed to death on the back side, but he'd mostly scribbled those out with sharpies].
He settled with his supplies, tapping out a nervous pattern on his knee as he waited for interviewees to show up.

Austin's slim and a bit taller than average at 5'10' with sandy hair shorn short on the sides, longer and curly on the top. His eyes, behind a pair of thin wire thick plastic frames with the wrong prescription, are faded green and usually amused; his skin is fair, freckling in sun unless he's careful; his mouth is just a little too full, in a way that appeals to most people.
Wataru had not taken long to realize that he'd kind of gotten the better end of the deal. By falling early and scuttling out of the way he'd managed to avoid some of the more serious damage.
Now he was just wandering. He'd glimpsed some purple hair earlier but the person had been wearing an orange jumpsuit - not Sawyer, he thought. Ugh. Well, he didn't really want to talk to her of all people anyway. She'd probably managed to get off scot-free.
So he stumbled away, rubbing wearily at his head as he did so. It ******** hurt, okay. He probably needed medical attention, but who here had that kind of expertise? How would he know? What was he supposed to do now? The...the bandits' will? This was stupid, he thought: but the thing was, staying here near the crowd of people meant he was relatively protected. It'd be best to go interview hostiles, or whatever.
There was a dude sitting by himself with a large amount of office supplies. "You raided the Staples?" he asked, before actually getting a look in at the guy. That face was <******** up, he thought. Something about the mouth...
"You here for the interview thing?" he asked, after a while.

To say that Greta was in pain was an understatement. After the adrenaline had worn off, she could barely concentrate past the throbbing in her jaw. She was pretty lucky in that the injury wasn't life threatening and that with a good deal of tears and hoarse screaming, things seemed back in place, but her jaw was throbbing and the swelling made everything just that more difficult.
She kept a hand by her jaw, nervous about people accidentally knocking into her and aggravating the injury. She had shrugged when told about the interviews; she couldn't speak anymore. If it didn't matter though, a good distraction was sorely needed.
With her hair pulled back, her wrinkles and her jaw were in full display. This was the first time she really felt her age was a disadvantage. She shrugged to herself while walking to the interview spot. She wasn't quite sure why they were interviewing each other. She wasn't sure those two men were who she was meeting but she waved anyways.

Austin nodded at the pair of them, and held up three nearly-identical sheets of paper with the words "INTERVIEW WITH _____ & _______" written on the top. Hopefully the instructions were clear: each of them would get a question sheet, and each of them would fill out their name and answers on the other two's. To make this point clear, he wrote his name on two sheets of paper and below that the first question:
Quote:
1) What did you do prior to Day Zero?
Beneath, he carefully filled in his own answer, in his surprisingly tidy handwriting, letters stacked close to each other. At least his hands were working properly.
Quote:
Austin: I was a poli sci major, on a pre law track.
Then he handed all three along, pointedly, folding arms over his chest. Apparently this wasn't about to be the most social of interviews: not with two broken jaws. Unless, of course, Wataru wanted to fill the empty air between them all.

Oh great.
So Wataru was still feeling a little woozy but it looked like neither of his companions could talk. That was actually fine by him, although he had to admit he wasn't exactly the most sociable person either. He sure was glad for the excuse to sit down, though, and thus plopped his a** on the floor unceremoniously.
Quote:
Wataru: taxi driver.
He scrawled his first answer on the papers Austin provided tthem with a careless hands. "Nice to meet you, by the way," he added, although by his tone it was clearly a formality more than anything.

Greta settled down on the floor gingerly by the two men. She arranged her limbs for maximum comfort, but she was sure she would soon be shifting. She was already feeling her bones. She took the papers carefully and wrote her answer down in clear, neat, looping script.
Quote:
Greta: I was a laundry facilities worker at Apple Minimum Security Prison.
She nodded at Wataru. She couldn't answer her verbally, but he seemed fine with that. With that the papers returned to Austin.

For his part, the look Austin gave Wataru was just a bit flat, unimpressed: he didn't feel up to talking, let alone small-talk. Instead he took the papers, pointedly, from Greta. Wrote down the question and his answer a bit more sharply this time.
Quote:
2) What is your secret to surviving?
But he had to pause, then. Was he really surviving all that well. Two fingers dug into his eyes, weighing options, before he wrote down:
Wataru had to shrug at the guy. He'd take his advantage where he could get it. He wasn't feeling too good either but if they finished up he would go lay down somewhere. Or find his friends. He wasn't sure yet. They weren't that friendly.
Quote:
Wataru: climb higher. I'm on the eighth floor.
This answer was a little dumb, but so what? Even if he wasn't getting anything done he was safe, and that mattered a lot now.

Greta took the papers from Wataru. She usually tried to be a little more friendly, but the pain and not being able to speak made that difficult. Instead, she just tried to be quick about her answers since that seemed to be what they were looking for.
Quote:
Greta: Stay out of trouble and don't do what you can't do.
She shrugged. She was mostly alive because she was living inside a prison and she could stay away from the undying. Plenty of young people were willing to fight in her place.

For just a moment, Austin was quiet -- his eyebrows pulled together into a knot in the middle of his forehead while he mulled over their answers. And he was running this show, which meant the other two could either read the answers as well, or just sit there.
It wasn't too long, at least. He made a rough noise, not quite sure if he approved or not, before scrawling down the next question:
Quote:
3) What do you think caused Day Zero?
and his own answer:
Quote:
Austin: Someone fuc doing studies on something they shouldn't.

Huh. Wataru glared at the answers. None of this was super helpful. Stay out of the way of the undying? That was what everyone here wanted to do. Did those bandits really expect anything useful out of this? He was fairly certain they knew more than anyone in here did. Still, he huffed out a loud breath, just because he could.
Quote:
Wataru: who knows? it could be biological warfare for all i care. i don't think whoever did it knows the cure
Or they'd have used it by now, right? Wataru wasn't sure. They lived in Canada. No one hated Canada, except people who thought it was wishy-washy. Those people were probably idiots, he concluded.

Greta shrugged. She seemed to be the only one who wasn't irritated or concerned by the answers. It wasn't that she didn't want to survive, but each of the areas the factions lived in were so different from each other that what it took to survive had to be different. She had the luxury of staying away behind an electric fence, in a cell, locked in the laundry room. Members of other factions probably didn't have those luxuries.
Quote:
Greta: I don't know. I never studied biology. It could be a fungus, like the zombie ants.
Greta didn't have any insights into what caused Day Zero. She just washed laundry.

Those, he thought, were certainly good answers: his head bobbed in a sharp little nod, and then Austin winced, regretting the movement. It had been too sudden, for a moment stars blossomed behind his eyes. But he recovered fairly quickly, moving to jot down the next question:
Quote:
4) You are attacked by one of the undying. You lose function of both your legs and will never walk again. Would you rather put yourself out of your misery or survive knowing you will die soon in the future?
His answer:
Quote:
Austin: Just shoot me like old yeller.
It came, finally, with a glimmer of a pained smile as he passed the sheets along.
This was a long a** question. But, ********. What would Wataru do? "Dude," he said aloud, a little scandalized. "If there was a risk I'd turn into one of them..."
Quote:
Wataru: i guess i'm supposed to survive so there are fewer undying. but who cares we're all gonna die soon anyway
Well, it was the ******** truth.
