Her head was spinning. She had finished typing up the article for her section of the school newsletter, submitting it to her superior before calling it quits on everything but getting some fresh air for the evening. The night out had started with a pretzel dog and a slushie from the nearest convenience store before she'd made her way to the park. They were in the process of putting up a hedge maze of sorts for the upcoming fall fright fest and, with the workers gone home for the night, it seemed like the perfect place to get lost.
Regina ran her thumb over her signet ring before tapping into the power of her wonder, donning her superhero alter-ego before making a break for the hedges. "Agility training. Check."

Camelot was out and about this evening, patrolling around the city rather than sticking to the library and the area nearby. He liked to get out sometimes, to make sure things were not out of control outside of his normal patrol areas.
He had a duty to the entire city, after all, and not just a few blocks.
It came as a surprise when he felt an aura appear not too far from him, and he turned around in surprise before scanning the area and pinpointing where the source was. He followed the feeling, and soon enough spotted a Page running toward some bushes.
Frowning, he moved to run after her, catching up without too much trouble.
"Is everything okay?!"
Because of course if a page was running, it was because something terrible was happening and they needed his help. He was a white knight, after all, complete in shining armor: rescuing people was what he did. Sometimes, of course, he imagined more dangerous situations than were actually the case.

In the time that had passed since they had last crossed paths Celliwig had learned a few things. One of the things that she had not learned, however, was to hike up her skirt when she was running least she find herself caught by surprise. The young woman yelped, startled by the sudden interruption to her internal monologue that had been breaking the night down panel by panel into comic form. The yelp signaled a chain of events that included a slight stumble as her toe caught on a rock, the awkward movement continuing into a roll as her other foot caught on the hem of her skirt and finishing in a tumble as she crashed into a nearby hay bale. " Ugh..." On the plus side, nothing had been chasing her and no sudden pounce attack followed her fall.

"Oh! Celliwig!"
Camelot yelped in his own right, as she fell and crashed to the ground in a very graceful display of... the complete opposite of grace. He skidded to a stop next to her, or as close as he could get. His momentum sent him a bit too far, so he had to hurry back toward her.
"Oh, God, I'm so sorry. Are you alright?!"
He did not mean to make her fall like that, most certainly. And he did his very best not to laugh at her, in a gallant show of restraint. It was not funny: it was potentially dangerous!
Stooping down, he offered her his hand, and finally risked a smile that would not result in a raucous laugh. He was mostly successful, with only a slight chuckle escaping his throat.
"Let me help you up. I ah... I know the feeling. I trip on my cape all the time."

"I'm... Maker's breath, I'm fine..." She sighed as tugged herself up upon taking his hand, letting go so that she could dust bits of hay away from her dress. The other thing that she had been doing in her down time was playing Dragon Age. It had taken just as strong a hold on her as all of the Zelda games had, including having an affect on the phrases she'd thrown into her vocabulary. "Thank you, Camelot... And hello. Hello! Nice night, isn't it?" She managed a grin while trying not to seem so flustered with herself. "How have you been?"

Camelot chuckled, shaking his head as he made sure she was alright, but smiling fondly. He was less embarrassed now, though still a bit red faced.
"I've been pretty well, to be honest. Things are moving along at home, the kids are all growing up. It's... a lot to take in, sometimes, but ah. Well. I'm sure you don't want to hear an old man musing about his personal life. How is your training going? Your patrols?"
Of course, he was always there if she needed help, and he felt like he had not made himself available enough to her. That made him sad, as he wanted all knights to feel like they could reach him whenever they had need of him. That was kind of his thing.
Knights lived to serve, and it was his duty to serve other knights. That was just how it worked.

"Uh..." Training and patrols? Training and patrols... "Well, I've managed to clear out the Hinterlands of rebel mages and rogue templars. I'm trying really hard to make Sera like me, but I don't think that's going to happen because I'm a mage and..." Right. She paused, taking a moment to ponder the question again as she figured that Camelot probably wasn't asking about video games. He was likely talking about real life. "Oh. That training and patrols... Well. I don't trip as much, anymore. I still don't get the stick very much. Twig? Stick... Weapon of my ancestors. I think I'm doing better. Kids grow up too fast, don't they?"

Camelot stared at her.
It did not take him a long while to figure out she was not talking about real life. Even if their reality was very odd, it was not exactly that kind of odd. Those words did not mean anything together, as far as he knew, which led him to believe it had to be something... younger... something technological that he did not understand.
Video games tended to fit that confusion gap, more often than not.
Though he did play one video game, and was looking into finding another one to play! He had been playing Pokemon on his pink DS since he got it, and now was venturing into different games. Or that was the theory. he would have to ask Chaonis for help, or something. though knowing that kid, he would end up with something horrible or scary.
"They do," he said, watching her and smiling distantly. Everyone seemed to grow up too fast, around these parts, though he had gotten used to watching it happen and accepting it when it did. "But I'm glad things are going well, in both your patrols and your uh... games? It sounds interesting, anyway."

"Games, yes." She nodded, smiling sheepishly as she acknowledged the clarification. "I've been playing a lot of games lately. It makes a pretty good distraction from, well... Everything. That probably sounds terrible, doesn't it? I should be doing more of this protect and defend thing and I just... I'm really not good at going out and finding trouble. It usually winds up finding me." Lips pressed together, Celliwig paused to brush her fingers through her hair. She smiled after a moment, peering up at the elder Knight. "Well, I suppose it's not just trouble that finds me. You showed up tonight, right? Say, Camelot, do you play any games?"

"You know, I've been playing one game for a while, but since I've beaten it through a couple of times I... uh. Well, I was thinking about getting a new one, or something. I'm not much of a gamer, it wasn't really my generation or my crowd when I was growing up but... these days I find myself enjoying the time filler when I'm sitting at the library with very little to do."
Or at night, when he get a night off and wasn't busy with family things, just playing quietly for an hour or so in his room before bed. It was like a tiny little break in an otherwise crazy schedule, that helped him go somewhere else for a little bit. Get him out of his own head.
He could see why kids liked them, though he was not as interested in the ones his son played as he was... well. Pokemon. It was the only one he'd played so far, so the idea of shooting and stabbing things over and over did not appeal that much.
"It's okay to distract yourself sometimes," he said, offering her a comforting smile, "but if you do need help, and want to patrol, you can always come to me. For what it's worth, I'm generally as good at getting out of trouble as I am getting into it."

"... I'd like that, actually." For all that she still didn't feel like she'd been at this whole Page thing long enough to be any good at it, she had a great deal of respect for Camelot and he seemed like the sort of guy who could be a fountain of knowledge when it came to, well... Everything. He was like the sensei from the Karate Kid or Obi-wan Kenobi. "Wow. Can you imagine if we had light sabers?" Her eyes went wide for a moment and she found herself grinning before drawing back to the actual conversation at hand. Video games. "So we can patrol and maybe work video games into things too? What kind of games do you play? Fantasy ones? Probably something different, since we're kind of living a fantasy game, but... Oh my god. Did you have one of the original Nintendo gaming systems? Did you know they've released a collection of older games for the Playstation, well... One of the older Playstation consoles. Camelot, please tell me you've played Gauntlet before...."

At least Camelot managed to get references like that, smirking and shaking his head.
"I'd likely just chop my own foot off, with a light saber. Or any other sort of... cutting weapon. I think a shield is best for me," he laughed, but maybe that was just because he had been given a shield and didn't know any better. He just couldn't see himself swinging a real weapon around, if only because he didn't ever set out to hurt anyone.
He looked sheepish, rubbing the back of his neck as he considered her question. Like what video games he plays was a very important, revealing topic, and he wanted to make sure he was broaching the subject carefully.
"Well, I found a DS at the library some time ago, and once the hold period was up on it, and it was unclaimed, I started to play it. It had a game in it, a Pokemon game. I've only played that. But I like it."
He shook his head and offered her an innocent shrug when she asked him if he played Gauntlet before. Yes, he had seen the arcade cabinet once or twice, back in the day, but he had never really been interested in playing a nerdy thing like that. Then life just steered him away from the chance all together.

"Oh, I haven't been to the library in ages. That's terrible, isn't it." She frowned at herself, brow furrowing and face expressive. "I used to go all of the time when I was younger; first to borrow books, then to use the computer. Then I got my own computer and you can find so many things on the internet. But... I still love the library." She wondered briefly if Camelot worked there or if he just frequented it. She figured that working there was more likely, unless the library had a policy in which they contacted people who found things to let them keep the things they found... Celliwig was overthinking things again, though, mind racing off a mile a minute and likely to get distracted again. Weapons. They'd been talking about weapons before they started talking about video games. "I only have a stick. Not going to hurt much with that. Aim's terrible and it doesn't come back." She huffed. "Can you imagine what this would all be like if we were Pokemon trainers instead?"

Camelot laughed, shaking his head. Not everyone had a reason to go to the library every day, so he couldn't blame her for not going. In fact, most people tried to stay away from the library as best they could, especially school age kids. That was a place of work, after all, and reminded them of all the things they hated about school.
It was no fun, for most. Unless they really liked reading, of course.
"Don't worry, you don't have to compliment the library for my sake. I understand how useful the internet is, these days." He didn't seem to realize she didn't know he was Tony, as he tended to let other knights know where to find him in and out of costume, just in case.
But sometimes it got a little blurry about who he has told and when.
"Sometimes I feel a little like a pokemon trainer, don't you? With summons, I mean. Sure, it's just one pokemon, technically, but it's certainly a powerful one. And don't tell Merlinite, but sometimes I think he's as good as a pikachu, so to speak." His battle buddy, though not entirely human any more.
Youma were probably not a good substitute for pokemon, though.

"Summons?" Her brows lofted, violet eyes going wide. "Wait. Wait. We get to summon things? Like Final Fantasy?" Celliwig continued to watch him for a moment before glancing down at her stick once more. She could deal with a stick if it meant she got to do something magical. That would be so cool. "Merlinite... Is that another Knight, or Page, or... I don't know what the step in between those two are. I still haven't met many of," she made a vague hand gesture between the two of them, "us. Are we all named after Arthurian legends and places? Camelot, Merlin, Celliwig. I had to look that one up. It's a bit vague, all in all, but definitely Arthurian."
