Among all of the equipment and sports gear that lie around ready for common use on the playing field, there is a section squared off for another test that the faction has created for new members. It's simple enough - you're given a paintball gun with a silencer on it - this is important, because guns are too noisy to be fired out in the open field, even if it's still protected by the electrified fence. It might attracted too much unwanted attention.
A crudely made mechanical device pops up cardboard cut outs of what looks like were once poster advertisements of various people. There's a busty woman smoking a cigarette and leaning on something that might have been a car. There's a young man in jeans that hang too low, trying to look like James Dean in a black and white photo. There are several of these cardboard people, most of which are only from the midsection up, that pop up at random times like Whack a Moles. Interspersed between them are similar cutouts - except these have been altered. The skin has been colored to green, eyes have been blackened or reddened, and blood seems to have been drawn everywhere. These are the infected. It's your job to shoot them. And only them.
The test isn't necessarily a chance to practice your shooting skills - it's meant to test your ability to make quick decisions, and a crude attempt to lesson friendly fire casualties. The cutouts pop up fast, and at random, making for a hectic challenge; so it's also a stress test.
Step One: Roll 6d6 in one NON-RP post. Each dice is considered one cutout, in the exact order they are rolled. Even means it was a human, odd means it was a zombie.
Step Two: In your next post, roll 6d6 again. Each dice is considered the shot for the cutouts in your first roll. The first dice tells you whether you hit the first cutout, and so on. Even means you shot it, odd means you did not shoot. -You must roleplay each cutout individually, although you may do them all in this one post. Just describing what you hit is enough. -This post in total must be a minimum of 300 words.
Example: -I roll 6d6 and get 5, 6, 3, 1, 5. This means I have a zombie, a human, a zombie, a zombie, and a zombie, in that order. -I roll 6d6 again, and get 6, 3, 5, 1, 2. This means I hit a zombie, I did not fire at a human, I did not fire at a zombie, I did not fire at a zombie, I hit a zombie.
IC Modifiers: -Your character might be wary about shooting anything (This is your roleplay choice based on your character). If so, you are allowed to choose to change one of your six shots to a no-shot, each time you do this exercise. -Your character might be trigger happy (This is your roleplay choice based on your character). If so, you are allowed to choose to change one of your six shots to a hit, each time you do this exercise. -You may not do BOTH of these each time. Just one. -You may choose to do neither. -The choices you make do affect your end score.
Rewards: For every zombie you hit, you get 1 bar. For every human you did not shoot, you get 1 bar. For every human you hit, you lose 1 bar. You cannot get negative numbers, so if your third shot hits a human and you are at 0, you remain at zero. If you get a -1, then a 1, however, you end up with 0. You may do this once a day.

It seemed odd that a prison would have paintball gear, granted at this time everything was bit out there. Infected people killing each other in the streets, the city split into factions all eyeing each other from afar with envy and distrust.
Why not have some paintball gear lying around? Shuffling up to the range he started to assemble his "weapon" filling up the hopper with a fresh load of paintballs.

Shaun sidled over to the paintball stand and stood back, smirking, as a fellow prisoner set up to do one of the more stressful little chores the prison had to offer... Shooting targets.
“Heeeey there.” he said, “What color are you using? I hope its yellow – it shows up better, you know.” Not that he was any sort of expert on paintball. He'd done it... once. And done okay. “On all the red.”

His face was rounder in his childhood, and elongated with puberty, but he still looks like the imp that he is and was, and his body is lean but muscular and very flexible.
Shaun is mischevious, easygoing, and very friendly but he's also a little reckless by nature, especially when showing off his acrobatics. He needs people and does not do well alone, so he makes a great teammate and will be as helpful as possible, but ultimately he is out for himself.

Monica didn't much care for paintball right now, but the thing about paintball was that it was in a public space. She bounced over to the playing field when she, Shaun, and Diana had finished up, and laid on the ground to watch the goings-on. Right now she didn't want to do much of anything other than lay on the ground, even though she knew she had to go do work eventually. "Good luck!" she called to the guy who was currently working on loading his gun. "You can do it! Even though they're fast!"
Oh, wait. Wasn't that Shaun himself over there? She scrambled into a sitting position to better watch. "I like pink," she said, jutting her chin out. But they didn't really have that much choice in a situation like this.

There was a crowd it seemed. Jacob paused in loading the paint balls to look at the two gathered to watch him, a curious tilt of the head. Glancing down at the paintball container he gave it a shake, "Looks like they mixed it. I see green, pink, orange.... a few yellow. Doesn't matter, long as it isn't red right? Blends with the blood." He paused, "Fake blood, I really hope we didn't use real blood to paint these things."
Rattling the paintballs around her made sure they sank into the hopper feeding into the gun before test firing into the ground. Pink. It worked at least.
"Shouldn't be too hard right? Shoot the ugly ones don't shoot the normal ones?" He gave a wave to the two joining him to step back a bit as he hit the lever to release the targets.

“Hey, pink works.” Shaun said, shrugging, “Hot pink sticks out nicely too!” He grinned, “Well, aren't you gonna shoot?”
"Yessss!" Monica cheered, when the first shot he released was pink. "Green, pink and orange sounds like sunset on grass. Or awesome."
She pulled her knees up toward her chest. "I hope so," Monica said. "But it's...a lot faster than I expected it to be. Sometimes I can't tell what it is before I shoot it."
And wasn't that embarrassing.

Something about holding a gun was discomforting to him, he was a calculated man but he wasn't cruel was he? The target started to dash out as the other two continued to speak, his focus more on them, then the targets. The first was a human his aim jumping to the next one clearly a zombie, the trigger pulled and the paintball sailed forward smashing into the targets arm. It was a hit but just barely.
Something darted to the side, all he could think about was that stupid box, the one with the rat from earlier. Swinging to the left he fired cursing as he watched an old woman's face turn neon yellow. Another flash of movement and he spun to the right clipping another zombie. Even so he was moving too quickly, the next targets leaped out and in a mad rush he fired off his shots going wide on all the marks.
He didn't even realize how hard he was breathing in those few seconds as he slowly lowered the gun.
"I.... s**t.... that was awful..."

“Not too bad” Shaun lied, “But you know, I've only done this once. So, who knows.” He took count of the targets and, secretly, was pleased that the other hadn't done so well.

The older man turned to Shun scowling, "It was awful, I'm used to working in control. Surgery isn't rushed chaos like this.... I prefer to think before I shoot and look what it got me. A dead innocent and a group of monsters probably just ate us..." He scowled at the targets, the gun, the paint. This was not the kind of month he had in mind. Not at all.
