Joy Ann was definitely not known for being the most organized and with-it person in the world, although she had been doing a decent job of keeping up with keeping her cell tidy and her few belongings generally in the right place for the past month. Household chores were also getting easier, thanks to all the help she was putting in in the kitchens, even if her cooking style still trended towards 'make a large mess and hope the magical kitchen fairies clean it up'. Not that she believed in kitchen fairies. That was silly. Almost as silly as wanting to freak out when she got a bit of blood and gore on her regulation outfit while doing wall duty.
She was very careful not to wash her clothes too often, so they wouldn't wear out, especially since she usually failed horribly at doing laundry.
Humming a little to herself, since the laundry room was one of the few places she felt perfectly safe left to her in the world, Joy Ann popped her jumpsuit and some regulation underthings into the laundry machine. How much detergent was she supposed to add again? The plump brunette eyeballed it, figuring more soap was probably better than less, considering who knew what germs had taken root in the fabric fibers during her faction duties.
As for bleach... It too would kill germs, wouldn't it? "Whoops," Joy Ann said to no one in particular as the bleach intake slot overflowed a bit. Hmm, perhaps she had added too much? Eh, her things were all pretty bland to begin with; no sense worrying about bleach stains.
Oh right, and the fabric softener! Joy Ann had used drier sheets at home, so she wasn't quite certain how fabric softener was meant to work, but if everyone else was using it... And it came with a handy cap-cup! Look at that, how easy to measure. She poured the blue cloudy liquid into the appropriate slot and started the machine.
There, nice, clean, decent-smelling laundry. Take that, zombie goo.
