Anton was.... well, pretty happy to find she'd been assigned to food prep for the day. Getting the key and the basic instructions had her relieved. No field work, and she'd still be helping people out. Double bonus. Plus it was nice to keep in mind for herself how their supplies were doing. Kept any risk of rumors or negative vibes down to the minimum, and she.... appreciated the sense that if s**t ever hit the fan, she might have a grasp of what she'd need to survive it.
As she walked into the storage unit her key unlocked, she looked about at the supplies assembled. Well least she didn't have to count them, or do any recording to make sure all the supplies were accounted for. Just had to do all the... repackaging. Starting with sorting.

It was weird. A month ago, she never really put much thought into perishables and non-perishables. Except for the obvious of when things would expire, but that was more for bread, milk, eggs, cheese... and it never was a huge weight on her mind. Now? She was carefully sorting objects, looking over any possible expiration date on them to determine what sort of shelf life they were really looking at for each food item, adding an extra step to her organization.
Which, really, was probably not the best use of time. It wasn't like she was the one putting together the meals after all. She wouldn't have any control over anything there. But at least if she could keep things organized like that, maybe it'd send a message to whomever was in charge of cooking..? Hey, it was a thought at least. Even if she didn't get a lot done due to it, she had a goal in mind!

It took her about two minutes per food item to organize seven of the collected supplies. Seven. A big zero-seven. That was it. The redhead tried to ignore how her cheeks were probably the same color as her hair, relieved she was the only one in the storage unit for the time being. I mean hey, if her plan worked, and the supplies were utilized in the way she hoped they'd be to prevent anything from going bad, then perfect. If the chefs already had all that worked out... then maybe she just made their jobs only seconds more productive. Which she... wasn't sure if that was an achievement or not.
Rubbing at her eyes a little, she rocked on the balls of her feet and had to remind herself she still had more to do before she could pack it in for the day.

Someone who'd previously been working in the storage unit had either gotten lazy or interrupted. Hell if she knew, but along with her seven she had an additional five sitting there already organized and ready to be repackaged into far, far quieter packaging. Weird. She'd never really thought about how loud some of these bags were--well ok, unless she was trying to sneak snacks into the movie theater with food so she wouldn't have to buy the overpriced stuff at the theater. Or trying to eat some late breakfast in class.
But who'd have ever thought about them attracting zombies? Seriously? Who thinks of this stuff?
Survivors, apparently. Because otherwise you end up like.... yeah.

By the time she'd finally finished, nineteen minutes had elapsed. Anton winced. Ok, so her timing on all this was absolute crap. Least she'd gotten it all done, right? Pleased with this at least, she finished up repackaging the goods she'd organized--and the five someone'd left, ugh--and quickly left the unit.
Some of the food was set at least. She'd done her small, small part. But even a little bit of help could go a long way, right?
