 All right, so she would give the militaristic lions some credit. If there was one compliment she could provide to the small party that had arrived, they weren't half bad to look at. It was easy to see that they were well trained, healthy and it would take a raging stampede to stop them... but beyond that she still couldn't see much of a practical use for them. Okay, okay, so the seers had been having some strange visions lately but surely this was all open to interpretation?
...This all felt a little extreme and felt a little like a knee jerk reaction from their new king. It wasn't that she didn't like their new king, not at all, she wished him well in his pursuits, but the speed at which he had responded rather did stoke the flames just a little to much for her tastes.
Weren't leaders supposed to quash uncertainty? While these all might have been precautionary steps she couldn't help but wonder if waiting a week longer would have done them any harm! Alas, who was she to question such decisions when, for the most part, she had kept to herself? It would have been rather hypocritical for her to start spouting nonsense now...
Thus, shaking her head she moved away from the hustle and bustle of the inner pridelands and wandered off towards the borders. It was quieter there, and despite the concerns of a number of seers, she honestly suspected it was as safe as it had always been.

 He was very much enjoying the nap he was taking on the outskirts of the pridelands. He knew that no harm would come to him here, at least he believed that to be true. So far his thoughts on the matter had been correct and he hoped they stayed that way.
He was curled up in a ball with his tail covering his face as he lounged in the sunlight. The warmth of it seeping into him and relaxing his sore muscles. All this travelling was making him ache a little and this nice black stone was just warm enough from the sun that it was seeping into him having a calming and therapeutic affect.
He had a slight inclination that he wouldn't be resting for very long as he thought he heard light footsteps in the distance. But he was JUST getting comfortable! He decided he was just going to remain as such until whomever it was got closer.

While she hadn't spoken to every member of her pride she at least knew them by their faces; and the green feline she was approaching now was most definitely not one of her pride. For a start, he was too small (unless he was a cub), and secondly, he was much more distinct than the usual lion. She'd have hazarded a guess that he wasn't a lion in this case and thus, was simply small.
A hybrid? She hadn't met one of them before, though she'd heard stories of what resulted. For example, the vast majority, while produced through loving relationships... would never have the pleasure of having their own families. She did have to wonder how that felt, it may have been a discomfort to some...
"Now aren't you a curious one," she said at last, drawing closer to Viher. "Are you one of the guardsmen, or do I have the pleasure of someone from a new faction, hm?"

He was really hoping to rest a bit long but a voice cut through the air and he peeked out from behind his tail and gave the female a smile, she was as pale as snow and had beautiful pastel markings, almost like a male he'd met a few weeks back, but much different in design. Likely just coincidence.
"A guardsman I am not as for new faction, I'm unsure of how to answer that." That was a curious question that puzzled him, did the pridelands have factions? Or maybe she was asking if he was from elsewhere, either way he was certain she would make it known to him what she was actually implying. Viher was a simple creature and while he wasn't the smartest a few things did tend to elude him.
Rising he gave himself a healthy stretch before turning to face her properly so that he wasn't being rude.

She chuckled. So the hybrid was new to this place and she hadn't just been sleepwalking passed something quite as curious as he. She was sure there were several who wandered through, more often than not the Pridelands welcomed many travelers but this was her first opportunity to greet a hybrid in any capacity. Heck even to meet one was interesting even if she'd heard down the grapevine there were several different 'types'.
"So you are from somewhere else," she concluded and padded towards him. She moved in a rather lackadaisical manner but it wasn't with the intention of being rude, merely that she tended to live her life in the slow lane and didn't exhibit quite the same enthusiasm for sport as her beloved siblings!
"A temporary stop in a rogues endless journey, a quest for a new home, or are you from one of those prides that often sends their children out to discover themselves before going home?" she asked curiously.
He didn't come across as threatening, just a little tired, and she could understand that if he'd been wandering for quite some time. The Pridelands were large enough as it was, she couldn't imagine how big it was outside of them.
