You may complete up to two quests a day. Quests are repeatable. This list will also update semi-daily, so be sure to check back often!
Quest #1: Barricade the Entrances
Description: Unfortunately for survivors, the mall was built to let people in instead of keeping people out. There are numerous entrances and exits scattered around the mall, and that doesn’t even include the direct entrances and exits some stores have. Everyone agrees that a lock isn’t enough. Rather than have the worst happen, everyone is encouraged to scavenge and locate what they can from the mall and use it to help barricade and block off entrances. At least one entrance has been barricaded and set up to use as a main entrance and exit. The rest need to be reinforced.
Goal: RP your survivor finding something to help barricade the mall. It can be a table or chairs from one of the many stores, or even one of the stands out in the middle of the mall floor. Have them add it to a barricade. There are barricades that lead directly to the mall, as well as barricades within stores themselves.
First time doing this quest? Please write a minimum of 100 words for 1 Arcade Token.
Repeating? Minimum word count jumps up to 300 in order to claim your 1 Arcade Token.
Feeling wordy? Go above and beyond the bare minimum for additional tokens! You need to meet this word count while doing the quest, so no going back to pad your quest to claim tokens! These token bonuses do not stack, so you can't write 100 words to claim 1 token, then add 300 words to claim 2 more tokens.
500 words = 2 Arcade Tokens. 600 words = 3 Arcade Tokens. 700 words = 4 Arcade Tokens. 800 words = 5 Arcade Tokens.
Stumped? Now’s a great time for your character to reflect on the crazy things that have gone down. Maybe they’re upset and need to calm down by nailing things into the barricade. Maybe they’re feeling creative and think the barricades could use more color and decide to go crazy with some glitter glue. The only requirement (aside from the word count) is that your character is doing something to improve the barricades protecting them and everyone else from the infected.
Whistle While You Work: Doing stuff alone is fine, but you don’t have to solo! Feel free to play along with some friends as you work together. The word count can be spread out throughout your total posts for the day.

"Hey," Dazs pointed at a nearby girl and then at another one. "You've been conscripted. Come on." The entrances bothered him the most about the mall - this was not the ideal place to hole up, especially after it had been looted. While he was small, and skinny, he could help a bit. And doors were, like, a symbol of the system, right? So blocking them was good. Cutting up the flow of potential infected while making a statement against capitalism. Excellent.
He turned around to look at them again. "Are you coming? I'm Dazs and we need to reinforce some weak doors, yeah?"

Megan looked up at the voice directed at her. Tasks helped the days go by faster, and barricading the doors to keep out as many of the infected as she could, that was a good place to start as any.
"Yeah, I'm coming. Anything's better than nothing," she said, hauling herself off the wall bench she'd been sitting on. Too bad these things couldn't be moved, being built into the walls. "I might still have some pieces off a display or something at the EB, wanna check?"

You can't really tell how old she is; she looks like she's 17, but all Asians look 17 until they're like 60 so that isn't a very good measure. Wearing a ratty Splatoon T-shirt and sweatpants, and some runners that might have been white a month ago.

"Huh?! You mean me?" Leiah looked in the direction of the voice, shrugging and getting up. Conscripted huh? Eh, she could do some barricading yes..."Ermmm....There could be some stuff at Spencer's if you wanna check there after EB games as well?" might run into a d***o or two, but hey! Its Spencer's after all
"Name's Leiah! Yes we need to reinforce doors! I couldn't agree more!"

Character's name: Leiah Sanderson Character's faction: MALL BBY! Character's journal link:gaia_crown Character's survival stats: emotion_zombie BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF MY CHARACTERLeiah stands at 5’8 and 130lbs with lightly tanned skin. She’s got brown hair that’s just down to her knees and blue green eyes that are constantly making her look like she’s up to something. She considers herself fit and trim but a bit on the small side, which makes fitting into clothes hard but easy at the same time.
"Yeah, I don't ******** care where we go, really. Maybe if we can move out a game rack from the EB? And whatever from Spencer's cool." With that, he was off, thin legs moving rapidly. He, of course, knew where the store was located, more or less, despite rarely going in there. Dazs never spent money on video games, preferring to hoard it carefully for art supplies. Occasionally, he got lucky, scored a particularly plum wallet, but that was still used for paint. Not video games. ********, he didn't even own a system.
"Alright, what can we take?" This was directed at the girl with the Splatoon shirt before he turned to Leiah. "Hey," he said to her. "You've got really long hair - like what if an infected grabs it?" He wasn't meaning to be morbid or anything, but.... it was valid point, he thought.

"You can try it, I think I might have one or two racks left. Most of them went into the barricades after my glass got smashed a couple days after the outbreak."
The tiny Asian sprinted after him. The only reason she hadn't donated the rest of her shelving and displays to the barricades was because she'd need help moving it. She just sort of forgot it was there over the course of the month, to be honest. She called over her shoulder at the other girl as she went, "I'm Megan, let's get something out of Spencers after we get a shelf out there!"

"I had plans to cut it down and braid it...Thanks for the concern mom?" She giggled, hopping she wouldn't offend the teen while they worked on this barrier stuff. Boy was Megan tiny! And possibly the cutest little thing ever! She didnt say so out loud because that would probably upset her maybe..."Sure thing! Lets get started!" She cracked her knuckles and went for the nearest display, contemplating on what the best way was to move it.
She kinda wished Drew was here, or Jeff, some one with more muscle than her at least but whatever....
She's got this!

"Sure, whatever." He wondered if stuff got caught in her hair when it was so long. It probably smelled bad, just like the rest of everybody, but at least it was pretty. Or would be it it was clean. s**t, Dazs would probably cute off a toe to have a nice, hot shower.
"Alright," he said. "Time to muscle up. I'm taking this out to the door round the corner. You guys grab what you can?"

Megan groaned inwardly at their enthusiasm. Whoever smashed her glass had opened up the opportunity for other people to loot what remained of her store, but even the biggest of her coworkers had issues moving one solo. "This stuff's heavy even without the merchandise on it! Come on, let's just grab a big one and haul it out, it'll be easier on all of us. If we try to get more than one at once we'll just hurt ourselves."
She moved to one end of the largest remaining floor shelf with a clear path out the door. "Give me a hand with this one, and mind the glass. I haven't cleared it all out of the carpet yet."
