So technically Monica had already been through this a couple times. Not...necessarily here, though, or with this group of people. She filed into the office when it was her turn, and beamed nervously at the psychologist now sitting before her. "What's up?" she asked.

The answer was a test, slid silently across the table to her. "What do you see?" asked her psychologist.

Monica didn't really have high hopes for the assessment - she usually wasn't too good at making sense out of, well, nonsense. But this one was surprisingly easy - or at least, it looked easy in her opinion. "A jackal!" she answered cheerfully. "I mean, um, it's Anubis, but he's sitting in lotus position with his hands on his knees. Also I guess he's sitting on a tiny fashionable hat. That's up-side-down." That was totally what was happening here, right? "And the other stuff is, um, wings! They're really big and intimidating because, you know, he's a god. This is what Anubis looks like, right? He has really buff shoulders and a jackal head..."

It made sense to Monica, anyway. She peered down at it nervously when the psychologist didn't seem to be responding. "Did I get it right?" she asked. "I'm kind of better at, like...writing about food..."

"That's more than adequate," said the psychologist at last. Let's, ah, move on, shall we?" There was a brief pause while the psychologist leafed through their books. Was Monica supposed to...say something?

After a while the psychologist looked up from their papers. "You disagree with a rule that your faction has expressly stated. How do you react? Do you do nothing? Do you try to make change happen? If so, how?"

"My faction?" Monica asked, surprised. "You mean here, right?" She paused, thinking it through. "I think the Boss has shown himself to be a pretty effective leader - I mean, we're still around. There's only three other factions kicking it here...and I know that's sad, but I think that means what we've been doing has been pretty effective so far!" She paused, drumming her hands on the table. "But if someone made a dumb rule, like...I don't know...like letting people fight outside of - I mean, um." She cleared her throat and shook out her hair. "I definitely wouldn't do nothing! I'd ask around to see what everyone else thinks, and then I'd probably bring it up to someone in charge. I'd try to present reasons, too!" she added cheerfully. "I think everyone here can listen to reason at least a little bit. I think if I made change happen, it'd be that way - I'd still obey the rule, but I'd want to get people talking about it. If it seems like everyone else is fine with it, for some reason, or if there's a better reason that I didn't think about...well, it's better to follow the wisdom of the crowd, right?"

She took a long breath. "That was really long! I'm sorry about that."

"You're fine, Ms. Chavez. Go ahead and send the next person in."

"Yes!" Monica said, thrusting her hands into the air. She skipped out into the waiting room and made wiggly arm motions at the next person in line.
