Sanidine was enjoying life, probably moreso than he should have been. Usually he could find something to complain about or be bored with, but these days? Hell, he hardly had time to power up and go do whatever the Negaverse deemed. But nobody had come knocking or tried to give him a hard time, and while he pressed it (for quite a while), he still decided to get off his a** before someone decided to make him.

Which brought him out, here, on this lovely September night.

He had drained a few people—nothing special—but it seemed the powered folk were past their curfew. He wondered if, in his absence, something had happened.

Until he felt a pleasant little ping of someone's aura in the not so far distance. It was Order—whatever—and stronger than him—double whatever—but it was something, and so he sought it out.

They didn't seem to be going anywhere fast, so he just sauntered out of his dark alleyway, straight into theirs.

Summer was always too hot to deal with, plus work had been driving her mad…so Lysithea hadn’t gotten a chance to patrol lately…or when she did she chose not to due to the heat…but that excuse was leaving and as the temperature dropped to a more reasonable level, her urge to go make the world a little safer rose to a more reasonable level. She was honestly just enjoying the crisp breeze that decided to make itself known and had her eyes closed, quite relaxed.

That is…she was relaxed until she felt someone nearby…and when she opened her eyes she paused and frowned. Well. That was not the person she had wanted to see tonight…that Negaverse guy that she had uh. Sort of kissed. And wanted to kiss and all of those feelings and things.
Yuck. Maybe that had been another reason she had been skirting her patrols…but…whatever.

“It’s been a while. You are Sanidine, right? Or am I mistaken?” Of course she wasn’t mistaken. She might have gotten a head injury when they last met but it didn’t mean she had forgotten the meeting…even though by all rights she almost wished she had. This time though. She had the upper hand. She was stronger and…and she was ready to fight. For real.

No kissing this time.

Maybe.

Sanidine looked up at the senshi and grinned. "Don't even pretend like you don't remember me."

He continued to walk towards her, seemingly unabashed. His eyes ran over her new clothes and he whistled appreciatively. "Nice get-up. Who'd you have to kill for the new rags?" He certainly sensed her new power, but he didn't seem overwhelmed—or even intimidated—by it. Instead, he was just enjoying the way her outfit clung to her body, and the way her hair framed her face so nicely.

She was pretty, and he was disappointed as hell that she was playing for the wrong team.

Of course, that certainly did make all of this a little more exciting, and he was the type of guy who liked to live on the edge.

This would be a good night, no matter what happened.

Lysithea snorted, tossing her hair back over her shoulder and turning away just slightly, both uncomfortable and pleased with his gaze. “I suppose I do remember you, and I didn’t kill anyone. I was just awesome enough to earn a power boost…something I see that you haven’t managed to gain, so looks like you’re the loser here.”

She was stronger…if this came to a fight, she would win. She could win…even though she couldn’t really do much…and her magic was useless in a fight…but hey. She was a pretty good bluffer so…

“But, are you saying that you remember little ol’ me as well? I’m surprised, and perhaps a bit flattered even. But, that’s another story.” Ball’s in your court nega man. What what.

"Is it really?" he purred. "Doesn’t seem like too different a story. I mean, if we keep bumping into each other like this, well I," he paused and grinned. "I might just start getting ideas."

He moved so that he was in her line of sight again. "Are you really complaining that I haven't gotten stronger? Because, if that's your gripe, I could do it. For you, of course. You like your men tall, dark and powerful? I can do that. Easily.."

Except, he didn't have any problems killing, so now that there was something to be gained—a challenge to be made out of this…

Hell, yeah.

Anything she could do, so could he.

Especially if it meant they got to play.

Lysithea had to turn her head away to hide the more pronounced blush that had risen in her cheeks. “Well, fine then, Sanidine. Prove it that you can get stronger too, then I suppose maybe I’ll accept the fact that you might try to possibly be as strong as I am…otherwise, I suppose I’m just in a different class than you. Peasant.”

She hoped that her face was less…glowing and turned to face him, assuming what she hoped was an expression full of confidence, an expression that would have him shaking in his boots.

She was so cool. Seriously. Even if he was attractive and smooth with the things he said…and even if he did send butterflies into her stomach. God, why couldn’t she just like someone who was on her side? First Merlinite and now this? How many crushes on bad guys was she going to have before something stupid happened to her?

This was living on the edge to the extreme.

Sanidine didn't seem to miss the blush, and his smirk grew bolder. "Peasant, huh? Well aren't you a cute little thing. I guarantee you whatever class you think you're in, I can have you on the ground in less than five. And I'll bet you just about anything that not only can I do that, but that you'll enjoy it, too."

And there was that smug, confident little grin plastered on his face. He didn't seem fazed by her confidence, and he certainly wasn't shaking in his boots; if anything, he seemed to stand straighter and be a little more interested in the conversation.

Or, at least, where it was going.

Lysithea snorted. “Yeah right. Tell you what. If you can beat me in a spar, you can totally just have a kiss or something. Maybe. If I feel like it.” She pursed her lips and tried hard not to think about him getting her on the ground or whatever.

Ugh. Boys.

The senshi shook her arms slightly, getting ready for something to happen. This guy wasn’t one to just stand there and let grass grow under his feet…especially when there might be a kiss involved…maybe.

“So…come at me, Sanidine. Let me prove just how strong I am, or whatever.” Or whatever was right. Clearly she just wanted an excuse to kiss him without feeling guilty.

Such were Sanidine's suspicions, arrogant as he was. The only reason he might have been taking this seriously was the promise of a kiss (and to show off) … (and because he was a prideful sort). "If I beat you well enough, I expect a little more than a kiss, princess."

He slipped into a moderately defensive stance, but it was short-lived; with no warning, he took the opportunity to charge at Lysithea.

It was a half-baked effort to actually shove her onto the ground, but there was more to it than just brute force.

Truth be told, he had absolutely no idea what she was capable of, and while he was confident she wouldn't be trying to permanently or fatally maim him, he still wanted to know where she had drawn her boundaries.

She hadn’t been expecting the sudden lunge. She hadn’t been expecting it at all.

A very undignified sound came from her lips as he plowed into her and boom. Down she fell. Well damn. That was a complete waste of time…all her boasting. All of her pride was just…gone. She hadn’t even said ready, set, go…he just went ahead and…well. Went. How rude.

A hand came up and tugged sharply at his hair...she wasn’t going to just let him win without a fight…

“Jackass! I didn’t even say for the fight to start. That didn’t count…you cheated and you are just…” She tugged harder on his hair and tried to hit or punch him, she wasn’t quite sure what her hand was doing but…whatever. “…The worst!”

Sanidine just laughed. "—Knock it off, you're gonna yank out my hair. As soon as you said yes, it was start! Real life doesn't have a timer. No countdowns or 'ready-set-go's. You're just—" he grunted as her hand brushed awkwardly against him. "—You're just a sore loser, you know! I told you I'd have you on the ground, so stop wriggling like a drowning cat!"

…Of course, he had said she'd be enjoying it; getting her on the ground was only the first part. But with all that writhing, she really wasn't giving him the opportunity to work any magic.

"—What are you so worried about, anyway? Why do you feel like you have to prove how strong you are, or keep fighting, huh?"
PostPosted: Sat Sep 26, 2015 8:00 pm

“Ugh. Jerk” She wasn’t wriggling like a drowning cat. She was wriggling like…something. But not a drowning cat…that was just stupid.

Lysithea drew in a deep breath and struggled to just relax and finally she managed to, letting her hands drop limply to her sides.

“I don’t know. I’m worried about getting to close to you people. You’re not the first one, I guess. But I know I shouldn’t so uh. This is stupid. If I could just beat the crap out of you maybe you’d leave me alone and I could you know, do the right thing and all that jazz…”

But that was so difficult to do when all she really wanted was to start kissing this guy. Sigh.

"There you go," he crooned, relaxing when he felt her do the same beneath him. He moved one arm so he could reach up to her face, and gently stroked his fingers across her cheek. She was as beautiful up close as she was from a distance, so no matter how the rest of the night went, this had been worth it.

"Was that so hard? You're so tense. Someone must have screwed something up pretty bad in the past to get you like this. I think it's kinda cute, how you go in all big and tough. But at the end of the day, you still just want the same love and attention, don't you?" It was hardly a question and he was nodding to himself even as he continued to play with her hair.

"What happened to the other one you've been getting used to? What's going on with him? —You don't care for him…right?"
PostPosted: Sat Sep 26, 2015 8:16 pm

The senshi closed her eyes and let out a soft sigh, really enjoying the attention. “Just stop talking…seriously. This is a bad turn of the conversation and I just don’t really want to get into it…”

She didn’t want to incriminate Merlinite…the poor thing had already been through more than enough, but damn Sanidine was really good at making her feel terribly special and she liked it…

“But I might care for him, it’s really not that much of your business…but yes, I suppose I do like love and attention…who doesn’t?”

If only he was a knight…she would not feel half as guilty if he were just on her side and they could make this legal…ugh…

She really liked this…

Sanidine liked to think that he'd won this battle, and that it was the easiest battle he'd ever had the fortune of getting into. Power level be damned, he was totally on top of this one.

Literally.

He looked down at Lysithea almost fondly and reached to brush some hair out of her face.

"I guess everyone does. You deserve it, though. There's just something about you."

For a moment longer, he was quiet—and then he grinned. "Do I get that kiss now?"
