Rio De Janeiro Danger Level: None
For the most part, South America has fallen apart. When the attacks began, the United States closed their borders and fought the enemies tooth and nail, pushing many of them back into the South Americas. Rio De Janeiro was the main site that B.A.I.T.R decided would become their base of operations, due to the fact that the war had not come to this city as fast as it had hit the other regions of the continent. Much of this was due to the fact that Rio had a very fortunate financial standing, as they are home to one of the most vibrant fishing industries anywhere on Earth. Having been graced with a large influx of fish in their harbors and the surrounding ocean, this food produce is where they get most of their money. There are very few cities that have survived in South America on their own, without the B.A.I.T.R Bases, but as with any place, small outcroppings of civilization manage to crop up here and there, where people have decided to settle down and protect what they have with any means they can.
Aside from the fishing industry in Rio, there is also a massive penal system in place here. There are three separate underground prisons, said to be completely inescapable that have been built to contain the worlds worst criminals. Those who would spread disaster in the midst of crisis. These prison systems have employed baiters on occasion to keep the riots to a minimum, as well as to take care of individuals who get too out of control, and that the regular staff is not equipped to deal with. After the war against the A.I. began, many people who defied human logic have reared their ugly heads, having come into contact and bonded with the enemy in order to gain power or being tricked into becoming nothing but mindless hosts for an A.I. to infest their brains. The city is home to many religious believers in Christ, and his likeness still stands tall on the mountains behind the city. Religious war, thankfully, has become a thing of the past, and though some religious beliefs differ in the world today, most people have become completely non-confrontational about it, though there are still incidents here and there that are quickly stomped out.

Ӄȁɗɪᾳηϯє Ɉɑӿӽ Just open your eyes Kad, it will be alright.......Oh no.... Please no... I cant see... it hurts so bad... why can't I see?! I have to be dreaming... oh god... The young woman laid on the shrapnel littered floor in a spread eagle her chest heaving up and down in a panic. This was the second time she had ever felt anxiety enough where it altered her breathing, and it pissed her off and scared her all the same. The small wooden office door had shattered when the cell made bomb had been triggered a few yards from it, mostly going after the guards station. The blast had thrown Kadiante since she had been stationed in front of it talking with her father about their dinner plans. It was her night out to pick and she could not decide between the traditional Chinese or the joint that served the latest trend in food. Then the door had hit in her back sending her flying spinning her around somehow and the last thing she remembered was her face burning. Now she could not will her eyes to work as she tried to get her bearings, she could hear nothing but the loud ringing in her ears since the blast had been so loud and burst them several times over. She had no idea her father was behind the heavy oak desk that had shifted only a few centimeters knocked out as well from his head hitting the wall, other than a few surface cuts the man was fine. Kadiante had to take her time getting her breathing under control. The pain was slowly fading but she was shaking, shock had to be setting in. She had enough training to know that, or at the very least think that. She was in her fathers office, that much was known. And for now she could not open her eyes for s**t. Calm down.... calm.... no rage.... maybe the button has not been tripped.... but.... where am I on the floor? She spoke to herself in her mind, not knowing that she also was speaking out loud much to the amusement to the passing prisoners. Taking her right hand, as it was dominate, she slowly felt around until the smooth wood was felt. Now what part of the desk was she touching? As Kadiante continued to feel around the desk guessing she was near the far corner from the door and wrapped her bloody fingers on the edge pulling her heavy body closer so she could find the button. A little higher, it's under the middle drawer. Going to be smooth plastic... there...no feels like the... the... railing? No track Kad, get it right... And boom... She let out a sigh having reached the button and pressed it several times. She was sure over the ringing she could hear the air horn blasting in and out as it spun letting the prisoners and guards alike know the B.A.I.T.R HQ has been informed of the riot and would be there before the thought of what to do next could form. Bravely Kadiante lifted her hands to her face and felt her warm sticky blood that was lazily flowing down her cheeks. She had been out a while. A soft sob left her lips before they clamped together not allowing herself to be pathetic. In this day an age she would be able to see again, there had to be a way, and one that would not empty her and her fathers credit account. While in her mind she suddenly felt a strong hand land on her shoulder. Instinct took over and her hand grabbed the wrist while her arm twisted and shoved her elbow into their forearm making the soft grip release, “Calm down sweetheart. I'm here to get you and Warden Jaxx to the hospital,” A rumbling male voice echoed. As she felt the needle in her skin she spat in what direction she thought their face would be out of malice, made she could not see and was snuck up on. At least her ears were working better? It was hours later when Kadiante came to. Her face itched something horrid from the bandages wrapped around where her eyes should be. Her body felt like it was not her own, but rather someone who weight four times her weight as it was rough to move. She could tell by her dry mouth she had been put under, and her cheek bones ached as if she had been punch over and over. It had been since she was ten since she got hit in the face, but the pain was easily remembered. She could hear her fathers voice talking softly with the doctors but she could not pick out the words. Had they fixed her sight? She tried to open her eyes but it had to be the dressing on her face. “Kaddie Bear?” Leski asked softly brushing her hair behind her ears, though the crack in his voice was apparent. She stayed silent knowing her father would tell her the result soon enough. Another deadening silence was sat through before he spoke again, “Hey, you've been out for a few days. They've tried to get your sight back but... your tissue is too damaged. You're going to be transported to the B.A.I.T.R. Station where they are going to give you a code core, just like you've learned about. I'm sorry you can't get the switch blade like you wanted, your core is going to be your eyes. You're going to be able to see again baby doll. I love you,” The care in his voice almost turned Kad into jelly as she wanted to cry but no tears came. She simply nodded and took a shaky breath, “When I get back we're going to the Chinese spot dammit,” She muttered out getting a laugh from her father. She did not hear what else he said as the sedative took her once again. Less than an hour later Kadiante was in the room on the table already sedated. Her process would be a bit different as they had to insert the artificial eyes into her sockets. Out of all the things Leski had seen over the years he could not watch them operate on his little girl but peeked as soon as they stepped away and started tapping on the monitors to make sure the eyes connected properly. Her face looked untouched now and he felt his heart swell at how peaceful she looked. He was grateful getting her into the process early had only taken three phone calls. The main doctor opened her lids and shone a light into the mechanical eyes. They glowed slightly purple as Leski had asked for but dilated with the light as if normal. A sure nod for the doctor meant it was time. Kad not only had to fight for her vision back, but for her life. “Go get 'em girl,” Leski whispered as he crossed his arms and stood vigil over his daughter. Turbine Beetle When the B.A.I.T.R staff had heard about the prison being compromised, they had spent no time in responding to it. With some of the world's worst criminals locked up in those facilities, a prison break was no joke. The attempts, however, were usually squashed long before they would ever hit the level that they had, and B.A.I.T.R wondered how it could have been possible for the prisoners to make it as far as they had without some sort of inside assistance. Something was wrong about what happened in Rio...but they couldn't worry about that now. She was already here, the warden's daughter. Her eyes were heavily damaged, and there was no chance to save them. They couldn't possibly heal them to a reasonable level, but they could do something much, much more. They could create her a set of perfect eyes. As she lay down on the operating table, they were punching codes furiously into the Code Core Constructor. They fine tuned everything, and with five genius level programmers, it took them only minutes to finalize a design and digi-struct the set of eyes that would be going into Warden Jaxx's daughter. She was already unconscious when they approached her, and they began to operate immediately, removing the old, damaged, eyes, and replacing them with the cybernetic Code Core models. As soon as they had been replaced, a lab technician entered the room with a spherical container from containment. It seemed to thrum with some odd shockwaves as it got closer to Kad, but as they placed the small orb overtop of her left eye, the bottom of the sphere cracked open and the A.I. Core flooded forward into her eyes, penetrating the circuits within it to begin its journey into the depths of her mind. As it began to move into the darkness of the woman's subconscious, the A.I. Core shuffled about nervously, trying to remember what it felt like to move its own body. It needed to make this quick and kill the girl before she killed it.Quote: Turbine BeetleB.A.I.T.R Standing: 14 Health: 140/140 Skill: 10 Strength: 10 Defense: 8 Tactical Advantage: Acupuncturist: Your blows hit pressure points, causing the foe to move slower and be less proficient with their attacks. Turn 1 The Turbine Beetle could feel the cold dank mustiness of enclosed space. It was like this woman had grown up in a cell. It could hardly stand the feeling, but it was small enough that small spaces were not too big a problem for it. The creature just wanted to get it all over with. The A.I. Core had been modelled after a creature that the alien race had found on another planet. A distant world, where the wildlife was capable of a lot more than the meek creatures of Earth. A lion wouldn't last a minute against something like a Turbine Beetle. It could lock the muscles of its enemy until they could not move, and then when it came in to pick them apart slowly, they would have no ability to move. They could do nothing but watch in agony as they were dismembered while still alive. The Turbine Beetle scurried from side to side as it looked for any sense of life...it knew there was someone in here. Its captor would not have released it unless it was here for the test that they used them for. The Turbine Beetle was weakened from its long stay in containment, sure, but it had the potential, now, to get itself back on track and work on destroying the human race once again. The beetle finally caught another sound in the darkness, hearing breathing for the first time in this place and rushing toward it. The floor felt hard and cold, and it wondered, as the surroundings shifted like smoke, where it was. The mind, certainly, but where would her mind take them? The beetle wondered, but it stayed focused as it finally caught sight of the woman. It slowed itself, trying to make as little noise as possible as it approached, and then it screeched in a deafening tone as it hopped into the air on its spindly legs and it sounded like a bass drum had been kicked as the turbine looking organ on its back blasted a sound wave directly toward her left arm, hoping to begin demobilizing her immediately.Quote: Turbine BeetleB.A.I.T.R Standing: 14 Health: 140/140 Skill: 10 Strength: 10 Defense: 8 Tactical Advantage: Acupuncturist: Your blows hit pressure points, causing the foe to move slower and be less proficient with their attacks. Ӄȁɗɪᾳηϯє Ɉɑӿӽ Turn 1 10-15= 1 (100-1=99%) MISSED SUCKA Kad's last visual memory had been looking at her father sitting behind the desk in his office typing out his weekly report to just be filed away for all time and never read again. However she knew the moment that her dream changed to the induced one for the test. Her father, as always had pulled through for her. A small smile graced her lips followed by a small chortle. Oh. This was going to be fun. As her drugged up mind started to form the area she opened her eyes in the dream glad to have her sight again. Kadiante knew good and well that when she woke up she would be able to see again, but had no idea what her eyes had been replaced with so her mind just had her natural eyes without the purple glow. She was in her usual outfit, tight dark jeans, boots, a black tank, and the worn black leather jacket with its zipper embellishments. Her black hair was pulled back in a messy fish braid with strands falling around her face. The setting went from a murky smoke to a back ally she had practiced knife throwing in before. It was dark, dirty, and oh so perfect. The neon lights gave off their promising glow as she heard the skittering down the ally. Curious which type of A.I. She would be up against her sight aimed too high at first until the loud boom came and Kadiante saw the large beetle and reflexes moved her away just in time. Her left arm felt a little bit on the outer layer of skin an odd sensation but it was not enough to do any damage. Kadiante's right hand went instinctively for her switch blade in pocket that she never went without, and she also felt the weight of the hand cannon resting on her left hip that always went anywhere it could with her. Well, after I pass this test I will be able to carry this with me where I want.. Kadiante wasted no more time and skillfully threw the switch blade wishing her mind had her throwing knives instead at the Turbine Beetle aiming for the organ that created the harmful sound. As the blade left her hand, knowing it could be more of a distraction than anything her feet pushed her forward with controlled grace. Scooping low she picked up a metal baseball bat that had been part of the litter on the ground and fixed her grip keeping the tip of the bat closer to the ground. A few strides later and she was close enough to swing at first going in an upward motion hoping to get it off the ground and then quickly swinging right back to catch it in mid air and send it hurtling towards the dirty graffiti covered brick wall. Attack x3 Quote: B.A.I.T.R Standing: 20 Health:200/200 Control Limit: 160 Skill: 15 [-] Strength:10 [-] Defence: 15 [-] Lines: 169 OOC: Glad I got that done finally!! Turn 210 - 8 = 2 (100 - 2 = 98% Chance) FAILED! 50 - 24 = 26 Damage The Turbine beetle felt the cold, hard, ground forming underneath it as it skittered through the dark, shifting world. But suddenly, as it was running the smoke-like atmosphere around it gave way to a dark, dank alley, and it felt like it had returned home. These were the places that the Turbine Beetles liked to call home in this world. They were easy to escape into and disappear when there was a threat present, and it was also easy to ambush the less intelligent humans--the ones who stumbled around muttering nonsense and throwing up the things they had been eating before they started consuming the "alcohol" they liked to drink. The Turbine Beetle chirped happily as it let off its first attack, but the woman it was facing was faster than it thought. She sidestepped the shockwave that had been sent out, and the beetle watched as it grazed across her arm but did nothing significant. It watched as she withdrew ever so slightly, and then she was pulling a strange weapon out, which the Turbine Beetle was able to identify as a switchblade after getting a good look at the weapon, and it knew that it was some form of melee weapon, so it figured the woman would be trying to close the gap and strike at it from close range. However, suddenly she was cocking back her arm, and she hurled the blade much faster than the Turbine Beetle had expected her to be able to, and the knife spiralled forward at incredible speeds, sinking directly into the top of the turbine-shaped organ on the beetle's back. The cat-sized A.I. Core shrieked as the knife penetrated its hide, and it immediately scurried backwards as she rushed in again, this time, grabbing a bat and swinging it upward at the beetle. It hopped to the side swiftly as she attacked, moving out of the way as fast as it could. The bat whizzed upward past the creatures head, but just off to the side, and when she swung the bat downward once again, the beetle released a soundwave from its back to counter the blow, creating a high-pressure pocket in the bat's way that slowed it down as the beetle scurried to the side, the knife still sticking out of the top of its head. But, as the core shuffled backwards it violently shook its body, like a dog shaking water off of its coat, and as it did, the switchblade dislodged from its body and as it did the beetle immediately blasted another shockwave, directing the blast to send the knife shooting toward Kad's chest.Quote: Turbine BeetleB.A.I.T.R Standing: 14 Health: 114/140 Skill: 10 Strength: 10 Defense: 8 Tactical Advantage: Acupuncturist: Your blows hit pressure points, causing the foe to move slower and be less proficient with their attacks. Ӄȁɗɪᾳηϯє Ɉɑӿӽ Turn 2 10-15= 1 (100-1=99%) As Kad had run towards the Turbine Beetle when the blade had gone flying she really had not expected the A.I. to actually get hit by the switch blade. Yes, it had been a damn good and well calculated throw, but had been meant for more of a distraction than anything. Still hearing the shrill cry of the Turbine Beetle had Kadiante feeling a bit better, luck usually did not work well for her, she had been trained for skill, and one that gave her the upper hand against her opponent. Always use one level of force higher than coming at you, unless your life is in danger. Then it was time to go all out with no rules. Right now her life was in danger, more so than it ever had been before to her knowledge. Though the blade hitting the Beetle had not worked out well enough since the pain had reeled the thing back making her swings not connect as she had wanted. Calculate but be flexible, something she could be very good at, though this was an odd fight. When the Turbine Beetle let out the sound wave to slow down the blow from the bat Kadiante let the metal bat go since it had proven not such a good choice. There was plenty more items littered about to try with, and now was as good of a time as ever. The beetle did not even go that far from Kad as the bat clanked and clattered on the concrete ground loudly. Kadiante had a feeling she knew what the large beetle was going to and soon as the sound wave blasted the switch blade back she caught the handle with ease with the blade pointing up. A prideful smirk happened and in a flash she flicked her wrist once skillfully spinning the blade so she held the handle tight and the blade now happened to be pointing down. With controlled motions she stabbed down at the A.I. core once where it's 'head' would be, and another at the tip of the turbine organ wanting to damage it more. As she pulled her arm back her right leg came out swiftly in a push kick towards the legs wanting to damage it however she could. Turn 310 - 8 = 2 (100 - 2 = 98% Chance) The Turbine Beetle watched the woman's facial expressions as it was blocking her baseball bat, and was surprised when the pocket of high pressure, due to the sound wave didn't really phase the woman. Instead of continuing her striking out with the metal bat, she dropped it as soon as it was slowed by the Beetle's tactic. But what was the woman going to use now? What was she going to do against it, if she could not lash out with her bat. If she ran in toward it, she would be at greater danger of being hit by the pulsing sound waves that it emitted. The Reaper Crab could not tell if the woman was either overconfident or stupid. It could not be that she was actually skilled enough to pull off such evasions at extreme close range. The Beetle watched to see what she would do next, as it launched the switchblade back at her, and as the woman caught it out of the air with ease, spinning it around, the core's heart skipped a beat. Damn...this girl was good. She was frighteningly agile...but that would only make it all the better when it was able to shut her down from the inside out. The Beetle screeched with glee for a moment, but as the knife came down toward it, the Turbine Beetle emitted another blast of air pressure from the turbine organ, slowing the speed of the stab and hopping away from it. The cat-sized creature was not extremely fast by any means, but being able to slightly slow the time of the opponent's attacks helped greatly. Her second strike came moments after, swinging down again at the turbine section in itself. The beetle was not about to let itself be hit again as it shuffled quickly to the side, evading the second stab as well. The third attack came in the form of a kick at its legs, but as it swept toward them, the beetle reared up on its hind legs, lifting the front two sets high into the air and letting the leg sweep beneath it and harmlessly pass by the beetle. As soon as the leg had passed underneath it, the beetle landed back on all fours and it scuttled down the alley, disappearing behind a trash bin and then it began to formulate a plan as it levelled the turbine organ against the trash bin. It emitted a great pulse against the bin, sending it flyign toward Kad, though just as a distraction as it hopped to the side, and shot off the real attack, sending a shockwave directed for her dominant arm's shoulder.Quote: Turbine BeetleB.A.I.T.R Standing: 14 Health: 114/140 Skill: 10 Strength: 10 Defense: 8 Tactical Advantage: Acupuncturist: Your blows hit pressure points, causing the foe to move slower and be less proficient with their attacks. Ӄȁɗɪᾳηϯє Ɉɑӿӽ Turn 3 10-15= 1 (100-1=99%) Kadiante was enjoying herself slightly, and very thankful her mind had picked a very littered back ally with plenty of objects for her to play with. It was a dream, but she knew well enough there were still some limits with it being the test to become a B.A.I.T.R., and she would make sure she came out of this. She wanted to, had to for her Father. She knew that the Beetle had been surprised by her catching the blade, but that had also been something she had practiced. Her Father had always told her if she knew how to use a weapon she should also know how to keep from getting attacked by that weapon the best she could. Her hands were littered with small cut scars when she had been learning to catch and take knives away from someone attacking her. It always helped when it was her blade since she knew the balance so well. When she came down to strike the damned thing blasted its wave and it slowed her arm down and almost made her drop the knife, completely throwing off her next attack since her hand still felt odd from the vibration. Her kick was dodged and she mentally cursed herself. She had gotten a hit in so early on, it made her over confident. Before she could continue her assault the beetle scampered off behind the metal trash bin, that was something she had wanted to find a way to use herself. Moments later the trash bin came hurtling towards her and she decided to catch the lid that was still amazingly on there through it being thrown so quickly. Stepping to the side enough she grabbed the lid by the handle and used the inside as a shield to block the real attack that had followed. The Beetle had to give its attacks away with the sound, but Kadiante knew that if the sound met her body it would not be comfortable one bit. The lid of the trash bin vibrated as the sound wave hit it but the moment it stopped her legs propelled her forward towards the Beetle once more, she knew it's best game was from afar and she would do her best not to let it have the upper hand. Still holing the knife and the lid in her right hand she quickly switched the blade to her left hand so she could throw the lid like a Frisbee towards the beetle putting as much force as she could into the throw. She was still running towards the Beetle as she had thrown the lid and picked up a good sized slightly rusted chain while pocketing her blade. Getting the momentum going as she got into range she lashed out with the chain going for the turbine organ again in two lashes while trying to move as the beetle did wanting the attacks to land. Turn 4Kadiante's Attack x3: 10 - 8 = 2 (100 - 2 = 98% Chance) The Turbine Beetle was sure that its distraction would garner it some sort of result, but it was sadly disappointed as the trash bin rocketed toward the woman and she sidestepped it, snatching the lid from the bin and turning to use it to block its attack. It was sure that the attack had been clever planned, and it wouldn't be easy to see through, but the woman had completely gauged the strike's direction and aim. She caught the sound wave with the trash lid, and even though she blocked it, it would shake through her arm just a little bit, enough to let her know that if it really hit her body, it was going to penetrate deep into her tissue. It wanted to rip up her muscles, but it could not manage a strong enough strike to actually catch the woman, and this was going to be the problem. She was faster--much faster. She was skilful in her combat, and the beetle was lagging behind ever so slightly. The woman had already struck it, but it knew that it could take a few more of those before it caused any real problems. It was then that she lunged forward, once again, closing the gap between them quickly. Her right arm cocked back and released the lid in a powerful throw, but as the lid came toward the Turbine Beetle it squeaked in annoyance, blasting a shockwave at the lid and sending it flying off into the alley wall. As she came in seconds later with a chain in hand, lashing down at it, the beetle thanked god for its smaller size as it blasted forwards. Instead of trying to make some intense getaway, the beetle merely scuttled through the woman's legs as she charge, shooting ni between them when there was a gap and allowing her two swipes to clash against the hard ground of the alleyway. As her attacks fell short of actually landing on the beetle it whirled around, hoping to catch the woman by surprise as it jumped from the ground toward her back, hoping to land on the jacket and slam its sharp, pointed feet down into the back of her neck.Quote: Turbine BeetleB.A.I.T.R Standing: 14 Health: 114/140 Skill: 10 Strength: 10 Defense: 8 Tactical Advantage: Acupuncturist: Your blows hit pressure points, causing the foe to move slower and be less proficient with their attacks. Ӄȁɗɪᾳηϯє Ɉɑӿӽ Turn 4 10-15= 1 (100-1=99%) The trash lid had not landed and instead it was thrown aside once more. The Beetle was proving a hard target to hit, but Kad knew she had to strike it down as quickly as she could. Already beads of sweat were decorating her forehead and she could feel herself having to labor more to keep breathing. Since the dream had started she had not stopped moving. Sure she was used to rigorous exercise and a fight lasting minuets instead of seconds but no matter how well trained her human body could only do so much. She was more trained in detaining and quickly stopping an attack rather than extensive combat, and knew that was a skill she needed to focus on the moment she passed the test. For now, she needed to finish this job. The chain sparked as it hit the dirty concrete and the Turbine Beetle skittered by using its small size to it's advantage. Kaiante could appreciated the A.I. Using it's strengths, a dumb target never really posed a challenge. When the second lash hit the concrete and the Turbine Beetle was no where near her again she tossed the chain away from her once more. It was not working, and with her tiring she needed to stop playing with objects she was not skilled in. The hairs on the back of her neck stood up and she knew she had made a mistake. Kad had let the Turbine Beetle get behind her. Cursing to herself mentally she did the first move she could think of. Before the Beetle could land on her she had tucked her head and shoulders down falling forward and doing a full roll to get away from the attack and not even attempting to kick it away as she did since she did not know it's exact location. As she rolled however her .45 Magnum was expertly drawn from her hip holster and as she pushed herself back up to standing she aimed. A perfect stance was instinctively made, feet shoulders apart, aiming hand controlling the trigger and her left hand wrapped around for stability. “Dodge this you little shit,”
she whispered before three loud shots rang off. She did her best to follow the movement of the Turbine Beetle again aiming for it's center so even if she was a little off she might just hit something. Turn 5Kadiante's Attack x3: 10 - 8 = 2 (100 - 2 = 98% Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 83% Chance)FAILED! x1 50 - 24 = 26 Damage The Turbine Beetle was not exactly intimidated by the woman, using all of her makeshift weaponry, but it was also not exactly confident in itself when it was fighting her. Something unnerved it in a way that it could not explain. Why had the same skills it had been using for ages against these weak human beings seem to do nothing against them? Why was it that she was managing to avoid the attacks with such ease? What was she? She was not a regular woman, that was for sure. It could not think of that now though, as it rushed her back and jumped, trying to grip onto her jacket and stab at her exposed neck, but she was too quick to respond to the strike as she rolled forward. As she tucked her neck and shoulders down, the beetle had nothing to grab onto and it felt itself soaring over the woman's body and falling. Its tiny little legs flailed about as it flew through the air, hating the sensation of falling like that. As it bounced against the floor, it screeched in fright until it came to a halt on the ground and stood up, shaking its whole body as if to remove the sense of dread. As it turned, however, the woman was pointing a gun at it, and the Turbine Beetle immediately hurled itself to the side, a bullet screaming into the concrete as it did. It released a shock blast immediately in the woman's direction as the second shot was released, and the air pressure easily re-directed the bullet off course and harmlessly to the side, but the third bullet was the problem. She had shot it too quickly. It had no chance to emit another blast before it would hit it. It tried, but as the blast went off, the bullet was already too close. It moved to the left, slightly, but it still managed to punch through the side of the turbine, and the beetle cried out in pain and frustration as it felt the bullet tear through its flesh. The Turbine Beetle immediately blasted forward, using the adrenaline and anger to surge its speed. It didn't care anymore. It was time for a full-frontal assault. The beetle jumped into the air and soared towards her face, lowering the turbine organ and as it got closer it shot a blast of pressurized air directly toward her face, trying to rattle her brains. The blast, also, simultaneously shot the beetle backwards, so that it re-gained some of the distance that it had closed for the attack, hoping that it could land a blow against the woman.Quote: Turbine BeetleB.A.I.T.R Standing: 14 Health: 88/140 Skill: 10 Strength: 10 Defense: 8 Tactical Advantage: Acupuncturist: Your blows hit pressure points, causing the foe to move slower and be less proficient with their attacks. Ӄȁɗɪᾳηϯє Ɉɑӿӽ Turn 5 10-15= 1 (100-1=99%- 15 (stam rule) =84% ) MISSEDThe screech that the Turbine Beetle had let out as it went flying through the air had lifted Kad's spirit a tad. It was feeling some fear, her training and sheer will was doing some good. However, she knew better than to get over confident again. Control and patience were needed as well as quick thinking to get through the test. As she fired off from the heavy hand gun she handled the kick back with ease and aimed around it. The small level on the end of the barrel helped her aim as the Beetle continued to try and not get hit by the projectiles. The first two missed but she did not give up and made sure to send the last bullet out much quicker wanting to throw the A.I.'s calculations off. Then the scream that followed let her know it had been hit. She did not want to empty her chamber all at once, but half was gone, and only one had hit. She had three more bullets and if those did not dispatch the Turbine Beetle it would be back to her switch blade. Kad knew the Beetle was going to come back after her right away, anything, including herself, that had been fighting this long, been hurt, and not landed a hit itself would be almost in a rage. Taking a deep breath to keep herself from making a mistake she watched carefully as the creature came hurtling towards her and she knew that the organ the blast came from did not need to level with her face. Just as the sound had been release Kadiante threw her torso forward and down bending at the waist and not breaking her stance. The wave above made her ears ring and her back tingle slightly but it was not enough to deter her. As the Beetle went back again she knew it was another chance to fire at it. Aiming once more she squeezed the trigger in rapid succession still aiming for the middle wanting the damn organ to not being able to function anymore before she had to get close with the switch blade. Turn 6Kadiante's Attack x3: 10 - 8 = 2 (100 - 2 = 98% Chance) (-15% From Stamina = 83% Chance)Failed! x2 50 - 24 = 26 Damage (x2 = 52 Damage) The Turbine Beetle was feeling the fatigue working through its bones. It had not been sure if that was a cause of the previous slip-up, but now it was certain. This woman was a sharpshooter with that damn handgun, sure, but that didn't mean the beetle shouldn't be able to dodge it. It had dodged fully automatic rifles before! What kind of sad piece of crap had it become? But it wasn't time to take that kind of mentality out on itself. No. Not yet. It wasn't defeated yet! But as it ran forward and blasted the sound wave at her face, the woman was lightning fast and she ducked low with incredible speed, allowing the flow of pressurized air to zip over her head without doing any real harm to her body. As soon as she had popped back up, however, she had the gun drawn and aimed before the Turbine Beetle had even stopped bouncing across the pavement. Damn it. How was she so fast!? As it skidded to a halt, she had already fired the first bullet, and there was no opportunity for a counter attack. The bullet ripped through the centre of its turbine organ, and the beetle screeched in agony as it threw itself to the side, the second bullet ricocheting off the hard ground, though as soon as it had landed there was another explosion of sound, and the second bullet tore through the turbine organ as well, effectively destroying it. The core attempted to issue forth a blast of sound, but instead it merely felt agony tear through its body and it cried out in pain once again. It was still alive, sure, but it was in a really bad situation. It couldn't do much, but it had to do at least something! It screamed in rage and pain as it charged forward, the high pitch sound coming from it echoing off the walls of the alley. It jumped directly at her, hoping to all hell that she was out of bullets as it straight up attempted to kitty scratch her eyeballs out. ******** this hoe. It was getting some blood.Quote: Turbine BeetleB.A.I.T.R Standing: 14 Health: 36/140 Skill: 10 Strength: 10 Defense: 8 Tactical Advantage: Acupuncturist: Your blows hit pressure points, causing the foe to move slower and be less proficient with their attacks.
