He had no idea where he was going, to be honest. He knew nothing of this culture or their buildings, only that he wanted to be alone and find somewhere, anywhere, to cool off. He wanted this blood off his face, he wanted to just be alone to forget again, to work on another battleplan. Maybe he should just go home and let his people die, maybe Mink was right and he was stupid. Why did she even agree to be his mate in the first place? He didn't deserve this at all, he didn't deserve her. Finally stumbling into a bathroom he slowly began to clean his face, looking up at the mirror at himself. He felt nothing but disappointment....maybe Mink should be the Shaman and he should just go into exile. He'd done nothing but let his tribe fester after all...In another century, all the Grimm that would be left wouldn't know anything of how things were....

Kinley had been overhearing the conversation of the older nightmares talking to the strangers. He left to go to the bathroom, knowing it would be quiet there. He put the toilet seat down and had been sitting there with his knees tucked to his chest. Why did that big wolf man wanna take them all? What if they didn't wanna go? He sniffled a bit, feeling alone till the door opened. He stiffened a bit, hearing someone using the sink.
Curiously, Kinley stealthily slid to the floor and peaked under the stall to see THE BIG SCARY WOLF MAN! Kinley froze, unsure what to do till he saw the way the other was looking at himself in the mirror... It broke his heart. He quietly slipped out from the stall and looked at his with his head cocked. "Why do you wanna steal us?" He asked quietly.

Kestrel hadn't even noticed the scent of the younger Grimm when he entered, too hurt and scared to worry about trivial things like that. But once he spoke up, the older Grimm jumped, eyes darting to the young one who...looked...so much like he had...Well, without the markings at least. He didn't even know what to say to the child, just looking down at him with far softer eyes than he had while on the stage or in front of crowds. Even this expression he wouldn't dare show to his mate, but slowly he sighed, rubbing his temples... "Because my pack is dying...And I don't want our culture to die with it..." He murmured, voice a little soft just to not scare him further. "For so long we thought we were the last...that there was no hope to pass on our culture, that we were going to die with it..."

Kinley listened to him, dropping his tense shoulders. "Dying...? like... my parents?" He asked softly, he cautiously walked to the other and slipped his hand into his. "I d-don't want them to die." He whined, looking up to him as his eyes watered. "I-I don't want to not know whatti am suppos' ta be like.." He wiped his tears with his free paw, his expression filled with sadness. "W-why c-can't you t-teach us here?" He asked quietly, moving to hug his leg. "I-I w-wanna learn b-but I-I don't wanna l-leave here." He sniffled as he tightly hugged the others leg.

He didn't even know what he was supposed to do, but instead he chose to bend down to Kinley's level, not rejecting the hand in his one bit. "Yeah...We've been alone too long...Since a lot of us are now related, we can't..." He paused for a moment, sighing, "We can't imbue stones...Which means we're probably the last, or the next generation is the last." He brought up a paw to carefully help wipe his tears away. "You're supposed to be yourself...that's not something any of us can teach you...But I'm not even sure if anyone wants to learn our culture. We must seem really backwards compared to everything here..." He wasn't sure what else to say, but let him hug his leg, carefully ruffling his hair. "Then stay here...it's okay..." He understood that loneliness, he understood what it felt like to be alone in the world. He had been for the longest time...

Kinley looked to him, a smile smile on his face as the other wiped his tears. His eyes widened as he listened, "n-no!... I-I want to learn... b-but I dont wanna leave my home... I.. I like it here... but.. I wanna lean stuff too. Stuff we don't know here.. Stuffs you can teach all of us... Grimm and not grimm.." He told him, releasing him to crouch to the ground, his tail up as he looked like he was stalking something. "L-like how to hunt... rawwwwr!" He said as he pounced on a wadded up paper towel on the ground. He flopped onto his bottom and looked up to him, "O-or who I am suppos' to pray to or something." He touched his pointer claws together, shyly looking to them. "I... wanna be like a real grimm...like you.." He mumbled.

Kestrel wasn't even sure how to react while watching the small child cheer up. "Then...then I'll make sure you get taught...but it might be a little hard to learn to hunt here..." He couldn't help but smile at the child as he managed to pounce on the paper towel. However, noticing it, he was a little surprised, though let it remain. "You are a real Grimm...just...a different culture than I'm from..." He gently ruffled his hair, careful of his ears. "You're so much like me when I was little...."

Kinley blinked to his and cocked his head, "Then... we learn to hunt... somewhere else? Why do we have to leave here... Can't we stay here and show alllll the nightmares, " He put his paws up and slowly dropped them to his sides when he said 'all' to signify a lot.... "what grimms cul..cul.." He bit his lip in frustration. "What grimms culpure?..capture?.. Whatgrimmslivesarelike." He grumbled, unable to remember what word the other used.
His tail wagged a bit, his ears flicked as he smiled. He held his paws behind his back and shyly looked to him. "I'm Kinley.. I-I'll be your friend." He told him sweetly.

"I guess...If your headmistress allows it..." He murmured, sighing to himself. "It's how we live and what we do. I'm not even sure anyone would be interested...We...don't really use technology like everyone else...Some of us do, but..." He paused sighing. "Kinley..." He murmured, ruffling his hair again. "Alright...you can be my friend...but my mate might get mad if you aren't her friend too..." He thought briefly of Mink of...how...they didn't have anything anymore...She was going to leave him now, wasn't she?

Kinley rubbed the back of his neck, "I'm sure... if you say sorry and explain what you just did for me... Others would be more... more.. understanding!" Ha! He remembered the word. "Even without stuff that's here... I'd like to visit and learn about tribe life... then I could really choose what I wanted to do." He told him, smiling softly to him. "I-I'm sure you could even teach a class here or something so that everyone would know about us grimms... so we'd never be lost again." He lightly played with one of the other's feathers, unable to help himself.
He smiled a little bigger at the mention of Mink, "Oh... that pretty lady is your mate? I like her... If she is like you then I will be her friend too, okay?... So.. when we go back... can we all.. just be friends? The arguing scares me." He asked him, reaching over to hold his paw with his own. He looked to with with big hopeful puppy dog eyes, his lip pouting a bit for flare.

Kestrel wasn't too sure just saying sorry would work. Mink would not be okay with that at all, and given that demon...he didn't think that would work either. "You see the good in everyone don't you?" He sighed, still crouched down, unsure how clean the bathrooms really were. "A class huh...? That might not help my pack though...We still...are having problems." It did solve one issue, but he still was more concerned about the other. Maybe he should just let Mink be shaman and stay here....he doubted she'd want to stay with him anymore. "Yeah...at least for now...She's very different though, she's more like you than anything." He murmured, still slightly scared that she'd leave him. Maybe he should leave her first? That way it wouldn't hurt as much? He didn't know... "You'll have to butter up your headmistress first I think. See if you can win her over?" It was an idea...

Kinley frowned, moving to hug the other tightly. "We can figure it out together... All of us.. T-that's what words are for, right? To com..comm.. Oh! Communicate.. Yeah t-that." He nuzzled into the other, smiling softly. "I-I'll try to get some others to help me talk to Ava.. O-okay? I-I'm sure if we just explain why you were so... Quick to anger... T-then she would forgive you... I-I did." He told him, holding onto him tightly. "A-and.. I try to see the good in e-everyone..." He explained, "...cause if you don't then I-it'll be hard to enjoy l-living." He explained.

Kestrel hugged him back, sighing a little. "As...As long as I have you to help me. You're braver than I am..." He murmured, getting quiet again. "I don't think she'll forgive me. But maybe you're going to help...." He finally let him go, standing back on his tiptoes. "You ready?"

Kinley listened to him closely. It'd be a lie if he said he wasn't scared. After all his head mistress wouldn't be so easily convinced. He looked up to kestrel as he stood up again, noticing just how tall he really was... Well compared to the little freshling. He could see the other wasn't feeling confident so he reached up and took his paw into his own and gave him a big beaming smile. "I'll be with you.. I promise." He told him, searching his eyes for.. Well he didn't know. All he knew is he wanted to help the others tribe and his race. He was even willing to throw himself out there to gather some supporters, even if he was scared. "...you inspired my bravery.." He explained, looking down. "I haven't talked to anyone since I got here.... Except you."

Giving a sigh, he ran a hand through his hair, ears flicking a little. He frowned down at him for a moment, but finally gave in and smiled. "Then come on....Let's go...And you can talk to Ava and make sure she won't kill me..." He mumbled a bit, finally starting to guide Kinley back out.
