It had been a knight power signature that had led the new order senshi to the park, but not one of the knights she thought she would see. This close to home, it was usually Camelot or Shalott Navi ran into on her way back to the house she shared with the both of them and their son. Tonight, however, it wasn't Earth she tasted in this aura, but something else. Something she hadn't encountered in a very long time. Years, by her recollection. She really wasn't certain it was him until she had wandered close enough to the tree to see up through the branches. Light clothing, red hair, glasses, and the only one she'd met thus far that had more freckles than herself. There last meeting had ended...oddly. Well, odd at the time. Previous to that evening her outlook on knights had been very narrow minded. After, she had begun to question her role in this war. Looking back, that fateful evening might have been the turning point for her. For that she owed him her thanks. "Celsus." Knitting fingers behind her back, she rocked back on her heels as she smiled up at him.

It had been a long time.
He remembered, of course, the last time that he'd seen her. It had been so long ago that the memory was almost dreamlike in nature, but not forgettable. Navi, after all, was one of the first people he'd met after he'd awakened, and she was not so easily set aside.
The power signature, however, was what took him by surprise. The initial glow of it had been White Moon in nature, which was pleasant, because Celsus had no desire to fight anyone this evening. He'd assumed it was an ally of sorts, and had waited patiently in his tree, sitting on a branch with his legs stretched out in front of him, arms across his chest as he leaned back against the trunk. And it had grown nearer and nearer as time passed.
But then he'd caught sight of her, and it didn't quite make sense. Navi was not White Moon, or at least she hadn't been, the last time he'd seen her. Celsus' gaze flickered down towards her, his lips parting slightly in an expression of surprise before it melted into something a lot softer.
"Navi," he said, with a low laugh, and tilted his head back. "Well, well, well. It's been forever, my dear."
His gaze slanted towards her, amused.
"You seem different."

She would never tire of seeing that look on the faces of those she had met before her purification. At least those of the white moon. That shocked wonder, always followed by a smile. It made her chuckle, head dipping almost modestly as she brought a hand up up tuck a curl back behind the curve of her ear. Among the obvious changes were a few, more subtle. The faint line of a scar across one temple, and the harsher stroke running horizontal across the side of her neck. Both compliments Painite, among the plethora of other injuries the general had bestowed upon the petite senshi. "Do I?" Pink lips parted in a grin, and she twirled on her toe, showing off the paler fuku, the layered skirts, and the pristine feathers of the small wings that arched out from her hips. "How do you mean?" She purred up at him, playfully coy, as she came to a stop once again. "Are you going to come down from there, or do I have to climb up to join you?" The former would be preferable, but she wasn't against the latter.

He stayed where he was, relaxed and comfortable on the branch, his arms crossed over his chest. Moonlight slanted over the glasses on his face, turning them half opaque if he looked upwards, but at present his gaze was focused down, on the young woman standing just below.
A laugh echoed out into the still night, the corners of Celsus' eyes twinkling.
"You do," he said lightly. A hand lifted, and he tapped a finger playfully against his lips as though taking the time to contemplate this new mystery. "I can't quite put my finger on it, though...new haircut? Less freckles? More freckles? Change your contacts?"
Grinning, he sat up and swung his legs over the side of the branch, and with a light, nimble leap honed from years of practice, Celsus landed in front of Navi, his cloak fluttering in the wind. He brushed leaves from his hair and uniform and then stood in front of her, his eyes softening.
"Or it could just be that you look more lovely than ever," he added teasingly, and then didn't hesitate, but instead took a step forward and wrapped his arms around Navi's shoulders, drawing her into a warm, solid embrace.

It should have been odd, how comfortable their banter felt to her. How much she'd missed it, even when they'd been at odds. Their encounters were few and far between, but it had always seemed as though there was something off about them being enemies. After all, it had Celsus that had started her down a more pacifistic route. She owed him a lot, she felt. More than she knew how to say. As he played his guessing game she grinned up at him, shaking her head to each and every one, though it was quite possible she did indeed have more freckles, but who could say for certain. Chaonis, maybe. The knight dropped from his perch, landing gracefully before her, and the girl's smile softened as she looked up at him , hands clasping in front of her chest. "You always were prone to flattery." It had been baffling and incredibly irritating when they'd been enemies. Now it left a faint pinkish hue across freckle kissed cheeks... The hug caught her off guard, and for just a second she stood stiffly in his arms. Then, little by little she relaxed, turning her head to lay her cheek against his shoulder and bringing her arms up to return the warm embrace. "Thank you." For this, for everything.

Even when she'd been a part of the Dark Mirrors, Celsus had not considered Navi to be an enemy. She tried to fight him, more than once, and he'd pushed back - but at the same time, he did not hold the same sort of animosity towards any of the Chaos that many of the others did. All he'd wanted to do was help her, and she had not let him.
And now, it seemed, she had not needed his help after all to come to the right decision.
"Flattery gets me everywhere, my dear," said Celsus, his eyes twinkling behind his glasses before he embraced her. He felt the tension in her as he did so, felt the immediate, stiffening response - and then she was relaxing, and her own arms had risen to wrap around him.
A warm, lovely pleasure surged through him, settled in his chest, and Celsus' smile was quite affectionate as he leaned back, lifting a hand to briefly place it against Navi's cheek.
"Welcome home, luv," he said, and grinned, his fingers falling away.
"Now, you really have to tell me how this all came about."

She didn't have the heart to tell him she still believed in her former court. That she still adored the royals, still considered them a family. Even if she was now cut off from them. It didn't matter, not really, because she had made her choice to leave the dark court and join the White Moon. So when he leaned back to look down at her she was all soft smiles, head turning into the warmth of his palm against her cheek. Her own coming up briefly to hold it there before letting him slip away. Relieved, now, that she'd never been able to hurt him, because she would have regretted it if she had. She had enough regrets in her life. The request brought an amused grin, and her shoulders came up in a very small shrug. "It's a very long story. I would be happy to tell you, but it might be better to find somewhere more comfortable." And a little less out in the open. Being on her own still made her jumpy, and rightly so. "Would you mind if we found somewhere a little less out in the open?" With a knight, she probably didn't have a lot to worry about, but Painite had snatched her right out of Chaonis' arms in the past, literally. She'd rather avoid the possibility, honestly.

There was genuinely nothing more pleasing than knowing that someone was happy. Celsus could see the warm glow emanating from Navi's entire countenance, and when he pulled back to look at her, he saw the gentleness in her eyes that had not been there before.
"I would love to hear the story, shall we take a walk away from here, then?" said Celsus, but a thought came to him, and he tilted his head, humming a little as he tapped a finger against his chin.
"Or," he said lightly, eyes twinkling. "I suppose since you're here now, with us all, there's no reason for us not to give our identities to one another, is there? If you're worried about the possibility of being out in the open, we could shed who were are now and lose the auras around us."

The thought hadn't occurred to her, and why would it? She hadn't been a member of this court long enough to realize that was now an option available to her. Sure, she and Nathan had dropped their glamour almost immediately(not that she'd had much of a choice in the matter, unconscious as she'd been), and are knew Tony and Kyndel now, but she lived with them. This was different. "Yes, we can do that," and there was a soft wonder to her voice, something a little giddy. "That would work nicely." It would also solve the problem of Painite finding her. So she stepped back from him, hands trailing down his arms before falling away, and let her magic fold away. Where Navi had stood there was a well dressed, petite woman in an a pair of dark jeans tucked into tasteful boots, and a stylish sweater. "I've had many names." Ellie smiled. "And many lives, but now and forever I'm Ellie Moore." A small hand extended in greeting.

He wouldn't have been offended, had she chosen not to drop the glamour. It was a rather large decision, after all, not one to be taken lightly, in spite of the cheerful smiles on Celsus' face. But it was also the safer route, if she wanted to be more discreet, and he knew safety was a concern in general.
He tilted his head sideways to watch her, Navi's agreement making his smile widen. And then, after a few seconds, the magic slipped off of her, to reveal a pretty, short young woman, who was both strangely familiar and unfamiliar simultaneously - like an old friend lost to time now discovered again, after you'd forgotten what they looked like in the first place.
Celsus reached out and took her hand, and his own magic shifted and dissipated. The civilian that took the place of the knight was wearing khakis and a button down shirt with a blue-gray sweater over top it, and freckles smattered everywhere across his face.
He was also beaming.
"A pleasure, Ellie Moore," he said with a grin, clasping her hand securely. "I'm Fritz St. James."

She remembered him, or thought she did, from the Surrounding. From their time stuck there, before the battle. She hadn't spoken to him, that much she remembered, but she had seen him. It had her tilting her head as she looked at him, lips twisted up to one side as she tried to pinpoint when and where, and couldn't quite manage it. It had been a while ago, and it had proceeded an awful situation that had been incredibly life altering. "It's good to meet you, Fritz." It was odd, standing here, with him, like this, but not in a bad way. Just different. Walking unmasked among the soldiers of order was something she'd never expected to want to do, much less be able to do. Honestly, there were still some mornings she woke with a start, afraid it'd all been a dream, until she could lay a hand on Nathan's sleeping form and curl back up against him. Drawing her hand from his, she made a sweeping gesture towards the center of the park. "Shall we?"

He stood there patiently and quite unfazed by Ellie's scrutinization of him, Fritz merely holding her hand as he shook it. It was rather amazing to be seeing her as she truly was; they'd known each other for years, now, not just a short time, but years, and to think this was who she'd been under the uniform all that time.
It was strangely exhilarating.
He gave a nod and a grin. "We shall," said Fritz, and he slung a friendly arm around Ellie's shoulders, letting out a disbelieving laugh.
"Quite a change we've got here, wouldn't you say?"

It certainly was a change, Navi agreed with that. So very different than any other encounter they'd ever had had taken place. The arm around her shoulder was unexpected, but not unwelcome. It was hard to say if how much her opinion of all the Chronos knights had changed, or her thoughts on the Zodiacs. It was still puzzling to try to place the various names and faces of those that had wronged her in the past on her list of allies, as opposed to enemies. Time would tell where she would find her place in all this, but until then, there were those she had come to care about, to trust, even when they'd been on the opposite side of things. Even if they had once been bitter enemies. She wasn't exactly sure when Frtiz had made that list for her. It had been a long time since th last time she'd seen him, and at the time she'd been trying to kill him. But something had changed that evening. Something unexplained. A catalyst that had set an avalanche in motion. They started walking, and after a moment Ellie shifted her arm to lay loosely around the tall man's side. "It's all very complicated,' she began, sort of chewing on the words as she said them, thoughtful. "And somehow terribly simple as well." A multitude of reasons, stacked one after another, until it had all just become too much for the girl. "There's so much too it, but it all begins, and ends, with Chaonis."

They had not had the best start (had any of them?), and he could remember, even though the years had passed, what he had said to her in the beginning.
"You all are rather a dismal lot, you know."
"Your anger is a little misdirected, you know. You're basically accusing me of causing you 'a world of pain' for standing around - indirectly, as you even said. How is it that you can attack someone which you yourself know isn't the real cause of your so-called pain?"
But she had attacked him. Celsus had felt her anger, had seen the rage and the frustration etched into her face as she'd thrown herself at him, trying to lose herself in the heat of the battle. From the start, Navi had always been angry, and it had always made him sad, as it had with the others that he'd lost to the war. The fact that she had not kept ahold of those feelings she had started out with was immensely, incredibly surprising - but also immensely, incredibly wonderful.
He smiled down at her, Fritz giving her shoulders a little squeeze. An eyebrow raised as they reached the bench, and he let go of Ellie to gesture for her to sit down first.
"Chaonis?" he repeated curiously. "That's not a name familiar to me, I'm afraid."

Fritz escorted her to a bench, gesturing gentlemanly to invite her to take a seat, which she did. Smiling up at him before patting the spot beside her invitingly. "Chaonis, eternal senshi of danger," Ellie expanded, a soft little smile playing along her lips. "I met him one night not long after we all returned from the Surrounding. He was playing piano in an old music classroom, a song from a musical I've always loved. I didn't want to interrupt him, though I was sure he could feel me there listening to him. So I join him, playing an accompaniment on the cello." It had happened years ago, but she still remembered it like it was yesterday. "We should have attacked each other, but we didn't. I don't know why. It was very odd. That encounter ended with a kiss. As most did from that knight on." She'd pulled her gaze away from him somewhere in the middle, looking down at her lap as she smoothed her hands over her skirt, smoothing it over the top of her thighs. "It was exciting, and forbidden, and dangerous. We tried to stop ourselves, tried to see each other as enemies, but I could never see him that way." There was a distinct warmth to her voice. Her shoulders came up in a very small shrug. "We fell in love, and after a time, my feelings about the war began to change. I don't think it was his influence alone. I know you had a hand in it. There were others as well, but eventually I stopped being angry. I didn't want to fight anymore. I just wanted to be with him. " She glanced up at him again, now, brows arching curiously as she asked, "do you know Camelot?" In passing or reputation, at least, she assumed.
