• Positive Traits
Owen's Positive Traits
xxx• Affectionate - When it comes to family and friends that he truly cares about Owen doesn't hesitate to show his fondness for them. He doesn't necessary have to hang all over someone, but he does enjoy a certain amount of closeness with family and friends. He likes to think that they just get used to it, but they probably just learn to put up with it. He will respect someone's wishes to not hang all over them. He'll show them that he cares for them in others ways though, such as picking up coffee for them on the way to work, etc.
xxx• Optimistic - Owen can put a positive spin on anything. He's been in several sticky situations through-out his life and he believes his positive outlook has always pulled him through these tough times. There have been some cases where he might have unintentionally bitten off more than he can chew however.
xxx• Dutiful - Owen likes to be that goofball when he can. That doesn't mean he neglects his work. He knows how to get a job done and he doesn't put it off either. Most people don't get to see his more serious side unless they work directly with him. It's kind of scary how he can go from goofball to serious in a second flat, but it does happen!
Daniel's Positive Traits
xxx• Organized - Daniel despises clutter and mess, be it his appearance, his apartment or his office. He's not so bad that he labels his meals or clothing to be worn on a specific day, but you would almost think he did.
xxx• Loyal - If you can get through the grumpy exterior, and become his friend, Daniel is loyal to a fault. While he's not always the best shoulder to go crying too, he will be there if you need him.
xxx• Self-Sacrificing - As a doctor, Daniel will do whatever he can whenever he can for his patients. He hates to give up on them, and on more than one occasion has been known to cry when he can't save someone. He pushes himself whenever he can if he thinks it will make a difference between a recovery room and a slab in the morgue.

• Negative Traits
Owen's Negative Traits
xxx• Needy - Owen likes attention, you could say he lives off of it. He expects most people to show their affection in a similar way to how he does it. This can leave him feeling neglected by others easily, when that really isn't the case at all.
xxx• Fanciful - No one is better at exaggerating the details than Owen is. He can turn any dull story into one of thrilling excitement. "Remember when that HORDE of Vespercats chased Daniel as a child because I stuck some fish in his pockets? Ahaha." That sort of thing.
xxx• Self-indulgent - Owen has very little restraint outside of work. He'll dive into his own hobbies and desires in a second flat when he has the time off. He likes to enjoy himself, sometimes to the point of ignoring someone else's wishes.
Daniel's Negative Traits
xxx• Dour - Daniel always seems to be perpetually grumpy, or at the very least incredibly severe looking. It's almost as if he does it on purpose to be as different from his brother as possible.
xxx• Stubborn - Not one to give up easily, once he's made up his mind he rarely changes it (No, Owen he doesn't want another drink.). It's not impossible though, with enough persistence he can be made to sway.
xxx• Private - Daniel is randomly uptight about the most random issues (many of them non-issues in actuality.), and doesn't like to discuss what he considers to be more...sensitive aspects of his life.

xxx• Potatoes, Cheeses, really just food in general...

xxx• Traveling, which his job allows him to do easily.
Daniel's
xxx• Smoking - He knows he shouldn't, but does it anyway. It's his guilty pleasure.
xxx• Journal Keeping - Daniel likes to keep a record of his thoughts, it helps him sort out some of the more emotional aspects of his job.
xxx• Rain - It's very soothing for him. It's like the world getting a bath and it temporarily washes away all the gook and grim.

• Dislikes

xxx• Seeing those close to him/innocents hurt.
xxx• The thought of settling down. Just no.
xxx• Particularly nasty weather, because no matter the weather he travels in it.
xxx• Like his brother he has bed eyesight. But he wears contacts and doesn't really make it well-known.
Daniel's
xxx• Clutter - He hates it. Passionately. Clean this mess up.
xxx• Seeing those he cares about hurt - Much like his brother he hates it when people he cares about are hurt or injured. It's one thing they can agree on
xxx• Reckless Behavior - He just doesn't understand the need to put oneself at risk for stupid reasons.

• Owen's Hobbies and Abilities
xxx Owen has little talent for magic. He has to relay on his partners to know how to deal with certain things in that regard. He has however, had extensive military training. This means he's particularly good at aiming his weapons, hand to hand combat, and fairly intuitive on a battlefield. While he can't create his own magic, he is capable of wielding premade spells. He is absolutely scary in a hand-to-hand fight. He might be small (5'5") but he can easily handle himself against an opponent twice his size. He's also a really good cook. Whether he has to rely on the outdoors to provide a meal or a fully stocked kitchen, he can generally make a delicious (enough) meal for himself or others.

• Daniel's Hobbies and Abilities
xxxDaniel has incredibly steady hands, a more than necessary skill in a surgeon. Like his brother he has no natural talent for magic, and relies on others for that skill in the operating room. As for hobbies he enjoys reading, listening to music and writing in his journals. Outside of the smoking, he tries to keep physically fit, and eat right, but he's a terrible cook and hates to do it.

• Their Personalities
-Owen: Owen is the most carefree of his brothers. He tends to act like he doesn't have a care in the world. He's quick to laugh, hug, and buy a drink for a friend. He can come off as a bit of a flirt and is most certainly a ladies man. He is very persuasive, so much so that he can actually convince Daniel to try things he might not normally, and he uses that to his advantage at times. All in all, he's a very friendly individual that could stand to learn more about personal space. While he goofs around about 90% of the time, he does have his serious moments.

-Daniel: While not a complete sour puss, Daniel is more often than not grumpy and rather pessimistic. Where his brother could be considered happy go lucky, he prefers to think of himself as down to earth and a realist. He can appreciate a good joke from time to time but don't expect a huge reaction out of him. He cares very deeply about those close to him, especially his parents and brothers, and Owen is probably the only one who can persuade him to do something he doesn't want to do.

He gets a little uptight about certain issues and doesn't like to discuss them, even if the issue is all in his head.

• Race and Us
xxx The only problem Owen has with his own race, is that he's kind of small and that leads others to underestimate him. Sometimes they question his career choice, but he always proves that he's quite capable of his job. As far as other races are concerned, Owen doesn't have much reason to discriminate against them. He's worked with several different races throughout his career. He can be wary of litches (particularly those not on his side), but he usually gives them the benefit of the doubt at least. He judges more on character than race.

xxx Daniel has no particular gripe with his race, and while he didn't have the conventional cartel upbringing due to his father's career, it was always fun to go visit the grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins, for a couple days. After that it got exhausting and Daniel was more than happy to return to their quite little home with just the four, and eventually five of them. As a result he does prefer to be alone than live in the communal warrens.

As a doctor he's sworn to treat all patients regardless of race. He doesn't care if you're the most xenophobic Chimera or friendliest Demon, everyone that comes into his operating room will get the same level of care, which will be nothing less than his best. His classroom is a little different, as you better be prepared to give Him your best, if you want that doctor's jacket.

Daniel sat in his parent's living room. It was cozy, a fire crackled in the fire place and the smell of roasting turkey drifted throughout the house. He could hear his parents talking in the kitchen and from the sounds of it Mom was teasing Dad, who responded with stammered protests and probably more than a few kisses. It was nice to be home for the holidays. Everything just felt, right in the world, and even better he knew both Owen and Tom would be here soon. He hadn't seen his twin in some time, while Tom he tried to meet for lunch a couple times a month, as he was just a quick trip to Asphodel from Leviathan.

His ear quirked as he heard someone coming down the stairs that led from the first floor entry way and into the house proper. Steps were much too light to be Tom, who towered over his elder brothers, so that could only mean...He rose from his chair and hurried over to the door and opened it, and in a surprise move was the first it initiate the hug that he knew Owen would demand upon seeing him.

"About time you showed up." he said and gave his brother a rare smile.

Work did unfortunately keep Owen from visiting home often. He had tried convincing a certain partner of his to join him and his family in the festivities, but had come home alone in the long run. He supposed it might be awkward, but it's not like he'd have to explain what they do together. He opened the door and spent some time upstairs, setting his warm coat aside and leaving his presents there for now.

He wandered down the stairs and as he reached for the door to open it and make some sort of grand entrance, it opened for him instead. He blinked at the sight of his twin who embraced him for a change. He was almost too startled to return the hug. There must have been some reason for this behavior right? He wrapped his arms around Daniel in return and laughed at his comment when he stepped away.

"Looks like I beat Tom home at any rate." He looked around the familiar home, he had so many happy memories attached to this living room, some of them even around this time of year. He flopped onto the couch with a bit of a heavy sigh. He wished he could get home more often, but his work wasn't exactly something he could take a break from often. And sometimes when he was forced to take time off, he didn't exactly want to come home all bandaged up...

"I suppose the Birthday boy has to show up last and in style." He smirked an encouraged Daniel to take a seat next to them. Tom had be awoken by his parents in this very room, during their first Winter Solstice in this home. He smiled thinking about it.

"I asked him if he wanted to come up with me, but he evidently had some important business to handle before he made the trip up." he followed Owen back into the living room and sat back in the chair he'd left in order to greet his twin. "He probably hadn't done his shopping yet." he shook his head with a touch of amusement. He of course had done his over the last few months.

He looked around the room and sighed. "Doesn't seem that long ago does it? Dad struggling to get a fire started because the heat was out...and then in the middle of everything, tiny Tom, who is definitely not so tiny anymore." he put one elbow on the arm of the chair and rested his head on his hand. "Nice to be home though. It's...comforting, don't you think?" he said looking over at Owen.

Owen had actually gotten his shopping done earlier in bits and pieces. When you have a job like his that keeps you busy 24/7 you pretty much have to shop whenever you get the chance, or risk not having another chance to do it period.

"If only he had stayed tiny..." Tom certainly was the oddball of the family, he even towered over their parents. Owen could only be jealous that him and Daniel has missed out on the recessive gene. It had been a very special day though. He could recall the look of surprise on his parents' faces when the power went out, the snow had caused the disruption. That didn't damper their mood however. It had been a laugh or two as they two of them watched their father attempt to light a fire. Once it had been lit and presents had been opened, his parents and gently placed their hands on Tom's stone and he was awakened.

All in this living room. "It's the most comfortable place in the world." He closed his eyes and leaned back into the seat. He let his mind wander briefly to what the rest of his small company was doing at the moment, but he was brought back to the present when his mother called out that dinner would be ready soon. Tom better hurry up!
