It didn’t take long for Ava to send the summon. The request had been simple; All Grimm and Grimm hybrid’s who have left the academy must return by sundown. Somehow, the simple tone of her request had been enough to cause the Grimm to return on time, and now the chatter filled the auditorium. She stood on the stage, face giving away her displeasure by the entire situation. Her mouth stayed in a thin line, eyes scanning the crowd as her nails tapped against the podium. She could sense the male Grimm behind her was about to cause a ruckus. She just knew it.
“Greetings, everyone.” She called, glancing over at the two Grimm behind her briefly. “If you are here, then you’ve received my summon. I have requested your attention and presence to meet these three,” Her hand raised, gesturing at the two Grimm and the… Nixie beside her. She needed to get used to this by now. “We long believed the war destroyed the Grimm of the past, but we’ve recently been corrected. They come from a tribe that had remained untouched, and they wish to speak to the Grimm who have been awoken from stones.” With this, she stepped back, allowing one of the three to step forward.
Well the first to speak wasn’t going to be Ryuuichi, the Nixie Elder immediately turned and moved to take one of the chairs that had been provided on the stage and carefully lowered himself, hands folding over the blue pearl. He stared out at the crowd, utterly unimpressed. It was hot in this room, well he could at least provide himself some measure of relief. He reached into his jacket and pulled out his thermos, now filled with cold water and poured himself a cup and proceeded to drink, only intending to say something if Kestrel decided to make a fool of himself.
At least with the smaller ones out of the way, Kestrel finally felt like he could look at the first to be awoken from the cache. They were old now, old enough to join the hunts in their homeland, old enough to be having pups of their own...He couldn’t help but glance at Mink for a moment, then back to those of his own race.
“I’m glad you’ve all come here.” He started, still eyeing the ones below him, “Had we known you existed earlier…” He paused to glare at the Nixie in the room, “We would have emerged from our hiding earlier. I understand you all must have many questions...But I have an offer that I doubt many of you will refuse.” Taking a breath, he stared out at them, voice firm.
“Come with us to your homelands. Join us and learn of your culture. Come home.”
Mink approached beside Kestrel, giving him a light kick in the leg as a warning. He was ruining this! She knew he would. Frowning at her mate, she wiggled forward, putting herself closer to the edge of the stage. “If you want.” She added, eyes flicking at Kestrel. “You may return with us and come back to your home,” She cast another look at Kestrel. “Whenever you wish.”
She paused, suddenly overwhelmed by the fact that not only were their Grimm children, but now the adults stood before her. Her people. Some even were hybrids, and this was enough to remind her that these Grimm were not the kind from her tribe. They had adapted and found a new home.
“Many of you were raised without the information needed to truly understand who and what a Grimm is. I’ve, we’ve, come here to give you the chance to learn more. To actually know who you are, as well as offer our tribe to you should you wish. You are permitted to leave whenever.” Despite what Kestrel thought. She could sense he was about to start another rant, and it left her uneasy. Sometimes he was swept with his emotions, and even she, the Alpha, couldn’t control that.
THIS THREAD IS ONLY FOR THOSE WHO HAVE GRADUATED THE ACADEMY. Younger students can sneak in, but be aware they aren't supposed to be there!

Conan had been in the music room when all the commotion started outside. He was rehearsing with his sisters and didn't really see a need to get involved in whatever scene was going on out there. "Cammy, you need to move more smoothly here." He was in the middle of critiquing his sister when all of the commotion started. There were rumors spreading around that graduated Grimm were returning to the academy for some reason. Not he was interested. "We should totally check this out..."
Together with his sisters they made their way into the auditorium, which was filled with all sots of older Grimm, there was a decent amount of them all gathered in this room at least. As well as two up on stage that he didn't recognize at all. As well as some...strange nightmare he didn't recognize at all.
He shifted, bouncing between his two paws as he waited for Headmaster Ava to explain what was happening. His eyes went a bit wide as she explained where the two Grimm had come from. There were Grimm who had survived all those years ago? Honestly, he was pretty baffled by the news. It was a bit of a shock. All of that was ruined however when the darker Grimm spoke up. He couldn't help but cross his arms in front of him and roll his eyes. Well, it did't seem like the older Grimm wanted to give them many options.
"What a hot head." Conan's eyes narrowed as he watched the two Grimm up on stage. He was very much interested in learning more about his race, or part of it anyway. however he had no desire to join a pack. At least not there's and not any time soon. He kept his mouth shut for not, but he was sure Cherish or Cameron would have something to say about this...He glanced over at them, trying to signal for them to keep their mouths shut. They weren't supposed to be here after all...!
Cherish had also been with her siblings, about to coment that Conan needed to limber up a bit himself before he critiqued Cammy when the ruckus outside had gone one. A bit more curious than her brother, she'd stuck her head out the door to listen to what was going on. Graduated Grimm only hmmm? Hahahahaha... Yeah no, they were totally going to sneak into this thing.
She'd filed into the back with her siblings, a bit shocked by the realization there were more of what she presumed was one of their parents people's around.
She listened to the male Grimm on the stage, her arms crossed under her chest, her wings fluttering uneasily, ears flat, tail wagging agitatedly as she watched a grown man shove his whole paw into his mouth. At least that's what it sounded like to her. The woman... Well she at least had SOME sense. But still, Cherish wasn't the type to keep her opinions to herself.
Raising her voice she called out. "What if we already ARE home?" Her tone was less than pleased. "I'd love to learn more about my supposed culture, sure, but like, WOW - you're asking a lot!"

Persephone had been one of the first to respond to the incident on the steps. Who was this windbag anyway, and what gave him the right to tell him who and what they were?
She stood up, and waved a hand getting the attention of the Grimm on stage. "Excuse me! Hi, name's Persephone, I teach Health and Physical Fitness here at the Academy, these kids know that, but I figured I'd clarify for you. Um...one question. Who are you to tell us who we are? Just because you're some sort of leader you expect us to drop everything and follow you? We don't even know where your home is! You can't expect us, to just, blindly follow you just because you decided to turn up. You do realize that, right?"
Definitely more than one question, but she crossed her arms, tail flicking in annoyance as she waited for an answer.
With very few people she considered real 'friends', and the significant mass of that group consisting of the Triplets, it was maybe not so much of a surprise that Nott had followed them into the great hall and pressed herself toward the back wall.
Come Home? That was quite a demand, and one that didn't make any effort to take into account that they were talking to people who had grown up here, like many had, regardless of race. 'Home' was a very nice word to brandish around when you swept in benevolently -years- into someone's life like you'd been there all along. Had they no idea that there were orphans in the cashe? Hybrids? How deep in a hole did you have to stick your head, anyway? They were rare but...
But everything Cherish and Conan already had to say. She shut her eyes for a second and let out a heavy sigh, relieved that they weren't jumping up and down at the chance to run to these strange Grimm. It was entirely a selfish sigh, and she freely admitted it, but she'd just made friends. If they all went away now it was so unfair..
Of course this seemed to be a gathering mostly for adults, but she'd followed the Triplets in ANYWAY. She at least could... sort of... be kind of invisible... which made another reason to be pressed to the back wall. Less likely to get stepped on. It was sort of... illicitly exciting. Like being a spy.

Madla quietly opened one of the doors to the assembly hall and slipped into the meeting. Maybe it was only for Grimm, but she had a right to be here too; her daughter was partly Grimm and Madla was going to know what's going on. The Geist stayed in the back, listening to the large male and the smaller female talk about home and offering all the Grimm a chance to go and learn about the Grimm culture.
Madla snorted in disbelief. Go home? For some, if not all of the Grimm, this was home. For Anastera this was home. These outsiders may know about their old culture, but the children of the academy were not these old Grimm. They were asking a lot, too much. Madla crossed her arms and shook her head in denial. Nothing these people have said had convinced her to trust them any more than she had at their first arrival. They were a threat to Anastera as far as she could see.
As far as Madla was concerned, they better start coming up with some better arguments or there was no way Anastera was ever going near them. Not until Madla's daughter was fully grown and on her own. Madla wasn't one to put her foot down on much, but she didn't trust these new Grimm at all.
The silence in the room at first pleased Kestrel. Good, no objections, they would all be coming with him and that was it. However, soon enough, they began to speak out. His eyes darted back to the hybrid in the back of the room, narrowing as they glowed in the dim light. How could they possibly be home? This wasn't their home...Well...perhaps for the Hybrid. They were more than one race, they couldn't possibly be of enough use to them....could they? Though, in truth, Kestrel was considering letting this one, and her siblings, come. He'd always had a weakness for feathers...
Of course, before he could reply, another spoke up. This one, this one was pure. He looked her up and down, considering her question...and whether or not she would be another he'd want to come with...
"I will admit I'm not aware of how much you know of your own race. But you are certainly Grimm." He began, musing a bit, "It certainly depends on where your stone was found. I haven't heard of any stones being found from our homelands, which makes it probable you're all from other packs than we are. Of course, if any of you are from one of the packs my pack discovered..." He paused, thinking as he looked them all over, "Then it is possible that you have a family, or at least part of one. My tribe used to live in the forests in Northern Zephyros, but as the sickness spread, we fled Northward. We were allowed, graciously, to share the lands of the Nixie." He gave a nod to Ryuuichi, though nothing more. "And hense we stayed there."

Persephone turned and scanned the room, giving the triplets a frown. They weren't supposed to be here, but...this was about their future as well. She debated having them thrown out but instead decided she could use the support.
"I'm from the Cache in Alycone. What exactly does that mean to you? I'm not as important because my stone was in the Baphomet city?" she crossed her arms. "And that still doesn't answer my question, of why exactly we should drop everything and follow you." she said. "Why should we give up the only home we've ever know? The only Pack we've ever known! And that Pack is Asphodel Gardens!" she threw a fist up into the air and howled her defiance of this arrogant male.

Mink watched her partner, eyes narrowed as she focused on every sentence. Every word. Every syllable. Her tail flicked softly, eyes trailing after him in thought. Her ears flicked when a Grimm stood up, tail wagging in rhythm to her excited heartbeat as she spoke. Slowly, her tail died as the Grimm seemed to, instead of being excited, leaned on angry. Wincing, the Alpha pushed past her partner, giving him a quick glance before she took her stand.
"We aren't asking you to leave." She began, pretty sure Kestrel was glowering at her words. "We are offering a chance to visit and learn, and a home if you should wish."
And, for a second, she was satisfied with her response, paws folding together as she watched the crowd. Wait. No. She had more to add.
"We understand the Academy has given you a home and their loyalty, and we aren't asking you to forfeit either. We wish to extend a hand to learn more and truly understand your culture. While we aren't sure what the Academy has taught you, we are sure there is more we can offer." With this, she stepped aside, allowing either Kestrel or Ryuuichi access. She was sure by the glower Ava was giving that the Demon wasn't taking a stand anytime soon, despite the tail tip twitching and increasingly hardening features. Mama Ava was not pleased, and Mink wasn't about to invite her to take a stand yet. She was sure anything the angry Demon had to say wasn't kind.

Endzela would simply have kicked herself if she didn't come down to the auditorium to see what the fuss was about! Might as well get her information firsthand, direct from the source rather than through second or third hand. Slinking into the back of the hall, the demon situated herself in an inconspicuous spot to watch and listen. The large male Grimm had been talking up on the stage when she had entered. Smoothing the fabric of her dress over her legs, she folded her arms around her waist. So...these new, or rather old, Grimm were wanting to take the Grimm from the Academy, present and graduated, back "home"? Their home, their territory, she supposed. What a thing to ask of them.
Learning was never a bad thing, but teaching could be done here too. Perhaps they were getting after immersion, have those willing and curious enough to come see what living the Grimm life is like from a truer source than most. If not, and choice wasn't exactly given, Endzela couldn't agree at all. Folks were established, having families and lives here. Pursing her lips in thought, she angled her head to listen as the little female up there had her say.

Idiot...why in the name of all the gods, did that idiot have to end up leader of the Grimm. He was utterly hopeless. Good on this Grimm woman though, trying to put Kestrel in his place. He hid a smile behind his cup and then glanced over at the Demoness. She looked like she wanted to stuff Kestrel's tail down his throat. Least he wasn't the only one. He poured more water into his cup and then passed the thermos proper over to Ava. "Little water to cool the flames?" he asked quietly.
He absently wondered what Athena was doing. Had she found somewhere to rest and hydrate? Maybe even swim? He hoped so. He reluctantly had to admit that Myles would take good care of her and make sure she got what she needed.
He leaned back in his chair, fidgeting slightly. These had to be the most uncomfortable chairs on the face of Below, but it was where he was stuck until further notice.

Through all of it, Allie wasn't sure what to think. Grimm? Actual Grimm? Here? Alive? She just watched them on stage with wide eyes. She had known it was important, coming from Ava, but this....this she had never dreamed of! All while staring, she cuddled the tiny child in her lap, unsure of what their fate was going to be. What would Seth say? What would Lerin say? She tried not to tighten her hold on little Frost, so scared he'd be stolen away...Leaning down and kissing the tips of his ears, she nuzzled his hair, tail wrapping more tightly around herself and him.
"It's alright...Momma's not gonna let you go alone if we do need to go, okay?" She tried to hide the fear in her voice, tried so bad to hold back the tears. She was so confused, so hurt. Her race...they were alive! But they wanted to steal her away from everything she'd ever knew...everything she'd ever loved.
Ava was ready to burn some people. Specifically, that loud Grimm who was demanding the children, her children, come with them. All of these Grimm had gone through the doors of the academy, and that made them family, and this male was trying to take her family. Suddenly, very vividly, the image of a certain Fallen/Grimm being snatched from her left a scowl on her face. She did not approve.
Not one bit.
Her eyes flicked over when the Nixie beside her offered a thermos, hand extending to accept. This male she held no qualms with, and he actually seemed the sane one. For a second a proper and polite smile touched her face, head nodding.
"Thank you." She hummed softly, bringing the thermos to her lap. She leaned back, snatching a cup from the nearby water cooler, pouring some into the cup and taking a tentative sip. This was the pits, but at least someone normal was beside her.

From behind Ava, there was a tiny squeak and then a tap at her shoulder. The social studies professor, as happy as she usually was, seemed very unsure and didn't want to gather much attention to herself. Ears folded back and tail tight against her body, she wasn't quite sure what to say besides giving Ava the most pathetic and scared look she could. She wasn't even sure she should stay on stage lest she fall into tears, but fearing she wouldn't have any other opportunity to do so, she carefully slipped a feather into the headmistress' hands before barely managing to compose herself.
"Just in case....right?" She barely managed with a watery smile, voice cracking a little.
Frost took everything in silently; the demanding one, the soothing one trying to be more moderate, the fear and anger radiating all around the room. Honestly, the kid was torn. He'd always wanted to learn more about his and Mama Allie's race, there was so much information here being handed out to them. All they had to do was leave their home to go to wherever these new people were from.
And that was the problem. They wanted all of them to leave and Frost could feel the fear radiating from Mama when they mentioned that. Cuddled in her arms, he felt her kiss his ears and nuzzle his hair. He had a feeling the actions were just as much to comfort her as they were to comfort him.
Frost half turned on her lap and looked up at her with a serious expression. Lifting one hand he placed it on her cheek and smiled, trying to cheer her up. Silly Mama; go alone where? They weren't going to leave Mommy Lerin and Daddy. "Don't worry. We wont go anywhere with them, even if the angry man wants us to. The nice lady says we only have to go if we want to."
~Lady Kanna~
Madla huffed in annoyance at the male's hotheaded insistence that all the Grimm go to his home. Still, the Geist could see that most of the Grimm were resistant to the idea. She also realized that it was mostly that hothead's fault. It was the woman that Madla had to watch. She seemed like she was going to be much more influential in a decision to go.
Honestly, if they just wanted to teach the Gimm their heritage, why didn't one of them stay and teach a damned class? How much easier would it be to leave one Grimm here to teach instead of a mass exodus and uprooting of the students here? The Geist stayed quiet, though, wanting to escape notice as much as she could. She needed information, not to be kicked out.
