It was one of those oddly cold days despite the season. The sun was hidden by a thick layer of clouds, no where to be seen. Standing there, one could see the wind moving the tops of trees. Most would be saddened by the sudden chill during the season of warmth, but not a certain mare.
Elysia closed her eyes as she felt a cool breeze blow by. Her wings were tucked tightly against her body, afraid that the chill would cause them to even more fragile. The mare looked at her wings and pondered. She loved them being a part of her, but wished maybe they could stand the cold better. "I mean... the cold never bothered me anyways, but I have to be careful with them..."
She wandered from an open clearing to those shaded by the trees. It was a bit colder there, but Elysia thought she'd be able to find some shelter to stretch her wings. Part of her wanted to just stretch them anyways, but her fear was damaging them.
The mare walked around, noticing the small animals and their shelters. Maybe she should just minimize herself and see if they'd share?

New places and new faces were one thing, but new temperatures were another. Celebrimbor hadn't experienced such chilly weather where he was raised, and he was quickly learning that he wasn't a fan. His journey to find his biological mother had taken him far from home--far from the humid forests and lush grasses he loved so much. Annnnnd just like that, homesickness settled into CC's chest. Drat, drat, drat...
Shuffling in place, the stallion looked somewhat suspicious as he glanced around almost coyly for something to take his mind off his own thoughts. Trees, leaves, dirt--uhh...dirt...well, dirt was actually really pretty...it was a shame more people didn't stop to consider--
Crooooak~.
The sound coming from his own throat snapped CC back to reality. He was trying to help a lovely couple right now, and he needed to focus on that. A bitterly cold breeze swept through the branches and shivered across the male's flank, and he froze in place. But it wasn't the cold that had made him freeze, but the sight of a mare headed straight for him.
He wasn't so good with mares...
Piriip!
Oh, no...

Elysia was quietly examining the hiding places of the smaller animals when she heard the sounds of a frog. It was a little strange for her, since they were muffled, but they sounded... higher than where frogs would normally be located. She followed the sound and found herself approaching a stallion.
The first thing she noticed was that his hooves were not... well, hooves, but instead paws. "Was this one of those 'purewalkers' I've heard others dread about so much?" Elysia thought they'd look more dangerous than the stallion did and her curiosity compelled her to at least chat with the stallion.
At least she could run if anything went wrong.
"Excuse me," she said rather happily. "I keep hearing these frogs somewhere, but I can't quite seem to find them. I was concerned about their safety... Have you seen them...?"
